So? :P

As far as ideas/storylines,

Well, there's still what's left of the Legion, including a real showdown with Kil'Jaeden. There are both Argus (draenei homeworld) and whatever the hell the Dreadlords homeworld is (starts with an X i think). There's also the Emerald Dream, with the Nightmare (Strong possibility it's Archimonde, imo), Malfurion, Cenarius (he's in there), and the entire green dragonflight. Next we have the Maelstrom and Nazjatar, where the Naga (including Azshara) are. I can see them launching an invasion or somesuch prompting an expedition to pwn their face. Mounts can already swim.

There is also the Bronze/Infinite Dragonflights; it's hinted Nozdormu is actually the leader of the Infinite Dragonflight, which is fucked up, but they're time dragons; you gotta expect a paradox somewhere. Continuing with Dragons, Deathwing is confirmed to be in Grim Batol, with Twilight Dragons, which are substantially more powerful than Nefarian's failure chromatic dragons. If nothing else, they're 20 levels and 4 years beyond Nefarian. The Blue Dragonflight will gain a new leader; chances are it'll be Kalecgos, who is rather hot-headed and pissy, I can see him possibly starting shit; he's already been possessed by a demon once.

Furthermore, the Ulduar storyline brings an interesting point to light; you actually kill a, for want of better term, "GOOD" guardian inside Ulduar to prevent him from sending a message to the Titans about Yogg-Saron; mostly because they'd probably blow up the whole damn planet to get rid of Yogg-Saron.

Finally, there is the whole new WAR going on now. Stormwind got their king back, but he's a douchebag who hates orcs now, so when Bolvar gets killed by Putress, a traitor of the horde...

Varian: WTF!? BOLVAR IS DED!? YOU FUCKIN ORC MOTHERFUCKERS! THIS IS ALL YOUR FUCKIN FAULT!
Thrall: But that was a trai-
Varian: NO! FUCK YOU! NO TALKING FOR YOU! JUST DIE YOU FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT!
*Varian attacks Thrall*
*Jaina ports all the alliance (herself included) out after freezing everybody*

Those are just MY ideas for future content. Metzen came up with all this shit, I can imagine he's got these and a fuckton more.

EDIT: and if worse comes to worse, a content patch and BOOM, Sargeras in the Twisting Nether, end of WoW.

The only things that were in the original Warcraft were the Legion, and the Naga. Everything else was thrown into WoW from (barely any of the time) previous lore.

It's obvious they're going to do the emerald dream, though, because they already have the zone made, just not fully textured.

Actually, they said they gave up on the Emerald Dream shortly after TBC to make something better, however WotLK introduced a quest that apparently opens up a small part of the Emerald Dream.

How about they make Warcraft 4 and fuck WoW until it's done. Then update WoW to fit WC4's storyline.

Saber.

That would be a terrible idea, and not to mention an extreme loss of profits for Blizzard.

I'd go so far as to say 99% of Blizzard's profits come from WoW subscriptions. So they can go back to a RTS, a one-time purchase for the entire game. After the initial rush, they will lose fucktons of profits, because if they leave WoW alone during the time WC4 develops, then most likely many of WoW's hardcore and a lot of casual players would all cancel subscriptions.

That's as bad an idea as releasing a World of Warcraft II.

Just no.
