Right, since so many have expressed interest, I'll put it down in writing. Hopefully it won't quash too many dreams. /joke Here's the procedure. Come 10/11/07, I will wait till 7:00 PM, Central Time. The bot runs on Central, so if you need a reference, just type .time. Then, I will announce that the proceedings will begin. I will start at the top of the shaman list, announcing the name, and asking/ /w'ing each clan member that is on if he/she/it want's to keep that shaman as a shaman. Should that vote pass for said shaman, I'll move onto the next one, continuing the process. Should the vote fail, or no's reach a majority, I would ask all interested in the said spot to step forward. Absentee nominee's will not be accepted. I will then have the clan vote on whichever person they feel will get the job done better. In the event of a tie, I will cast the tie breaking vote (I will refrain from voting procedures in all other circumstances). The newly elected shaman will then be given a list of his/her responsibilities, and put on one week shamanic probation. Should I find that their actions interfere with those responsibilites, runner up will recieve the spot, and so on/so-forth. Keep in mind, the entire idea of this process was to keep the shaman's that the clan feels is doing his/her/it's job well. It's not to intentionally go out of your way to get those gold bars. If any go about it with that mindset, it doesn't hurt just you. It hurts the entire clan. Remember that. -Osh |

Since some people right it differently, 10/11/07 is that October 11 or November 10? October 11 is a Thursday, so im guessing November 10 since it is a weekend, with coincidentally, a new moon... for a new beginning... persay. |

No, that would be October 11th, Saber said to check their profile if you wanted to know. I feel greedy now, lol, I feel like I wish to retain my position because of the gold, and I think I've felt like that before, but oh well. |

Since October 11 is Thursday... Mind changing it to October 12 or 13? That way it will be on the weekend and more people will be able to participate without having to worry about prior commitments. Since it is October, people will have homework/jobs to look after, and may not have the time to come online, at 7:00. Hopefully this works, even if it isn't on the same day as the Clan was first made, a year past. |

Hey Osh, is it possible for me to step up and try to be elected Shaman? I mean, I probably won't, but I tried to be alot more active lately, and I believe I am online alot more than what I used to be. Hipothatically, if I will ask, will I be able to try and get the Shaman spot? |

Guys, the question you might want to ask first might be : "Hey. . . who should we keep?" instead of "Hey, how can I get shaman?". xP Perhaps discussing who you all feel is doing a good job might be a good place to start. |

Saber and Tara I feel comfortable keeping them as shamans, generally because they're usually on, and when they are, they do their job. As for the others, I think Hell is afk too much, Wolfos is cool but is gone too much to be entitled a position that demands frequent attention, and Roth, Roth I haven't seen on too much lately, but to be fair, he does do his job when the pressure is on. There. As for the "Election", I've already formally announced running, and I will the day of the election. My reasoning is that whether or not the positions are filled, I think I could do a better job then some of the shamans we have around now. So, to set the record straight, to clarify everything, cross the T's and dot the i's: I, Ozmodious, formally announce my candidacy for the 2007 Shaman Elections. There, should it go that far, at least we have it in writing that I said my piece. =P |

Heh... Actually Oz, I kinda support what you said with a few changes. Saber's a sure to stay, definetly. Tarak... Do I really have to say it? It's obvious he should stay. Roth, may be inactive, but he really does get the job done and help people, he definetly has my re-election vote. Wolfos only now decided to return, but it's just too little too late. Hellmancer is ill, very ill, he has the Hell syndrome, CONSTANTLY AFK. Yet, the fact that he is in the channel can sometimes scare off outsiders... Not really, just trying to find something nice to say. I'm actually running too, the three Shamans I pointed (Saber, Roth, Tarak) Will probably do a better job than me, but no offense, I believe I will do a better job than Oz, due to the fact Oz's a hothead, he will kick on sight instead of getting to the bottom of things, atleast that's what I think, like I said before, it's up to you to choose the lesser "Evil" |

*shrugs* I don't see it as choosing the less evil, more as choosing the better man for the job. I'd rather see somebody in this clan who can resist corruption to simple power get the job then some of those attending, perhaps even myself. I suppose it's like running for congress a bit. Your trying to run and get the glow to have Osh's ear and help out the clan, just as a Congressman is trying to work with the president and devise laws for the country's overall well being (Of course we're talking politicians here, so it'd probably never be that clean. :huh:). The truth is, Naz, although I have a hot head on my shoulders at times, I've fairly good judgment and I favor no one over the other. *shrugs* I don't know man, all I've thought about this election is how much of a daze everyone has been in. There needs to be a change, and I think it'd be good if Osh had a few people he could turn to to consult in situations where he's unsure of his own judgment, and those people gave sound advice for him to think on. That's it. We've got problems, and we need a group of people who are on on a regular basis, who can communicate with Osh without getting into a brawl which the shaman will eventually lose, and people who understand the need for sound judgment. It'd probably be a better idea to get a group of diverse individuals with their own outlook on life to give Osh and others an array of opinions on the matter then a bunch of Yes-men intent on keeping their position. I suppose that's another thing I have, no matter how bad it is, no matter how much is at stake, I'll let people know the truth without sugar-coating it, and it's that quality that establishes a bond of trust between our clansmen. *shrugs* I'd like to see who we all decide to pick. |

Just a reminder to all those that read the forums. Re-elections/elections will take place today, at 5:00 PM, Central time. For those that do not know what that is, type ".time" in channel while my bot is up. It gives the time on my comp. Additionally, absentee VOTES will be accepted. Absentee nominations will not.
