Hey, two of my friends, Pendragon_ (Owns DotA and the "IceFrog presents" trademarks :P ) and Guinsoo (*retired* modder of DotA) are on the development team for a new game (Standalone) that is basically a DotA with an RPG influence. (75% DotA, 25% WoW). Because it's standalone, this means that for one they have a corporate backing on the game so it will most likely be respected and large in e-sports. Also, they have control over what goes on! Severe trashtalking online can be punishable, hacking can be punishable, so overall it kind of creates a nicer community. Here's where I need your help. There's a contest held by mah friend Pendragon_ (He's the Community Relations Director) on www.LeagueofLegends.com. The contest details are that whoever can refer the most people by October 17th wins.. #1: an avatar on forums. #2: colored name on forums. #3: hidden prize that will probably be a guarantee to the beta.. Which will already happen to me :D. And here's what you need to do: 1. Register on www.leagueoflegends.com 2. When registering, in the referral field put: HunteR_ <- is my friend and we're teaming up to try to get it so he wins :D 3. Make atleast 5 good posts by October 17th. I really suggest you guys interact with this community so far. Some of the reasons that you guys somewhat dislike DotA can be brought up and considered in the development of this game. So have a say and make DotA fit around you, not the other way around. :D I'd appreciate it so much if you could register, refer: HunteR_ , and make atleast 5 good posts. But would also be nice if you could further contribute to the development of this game and it's community. Thanks! -Frozt |
