Games? I like games. Do you like games?

. . .

I like. . uh. Games with an actual plot, and that are actually fun. Aka, 1% of the games out there. However, I do enjoy FPS's, some MMO's that aren't pay to play. The occasional RPG. But mostly, I stick to FPS's or RTS.

Games with a solid singleplayer and fun multiplayer, be it coop or in fpses deathmatch or the like.
I like my RPGs decent in length but don't make me watch a 30 minute cinematic. Also I can't play *too* open style games because ill never progress through the main plot.

Games that aren't written by nine year olds and obey the laws of physics and are rooted within the land of the real I tend to enjoy. I've been playing RE5 with a buddy of mine and I have to say that I absolutely hate it. Chris Redfield is unlikeble, the script blows, and the entire concept behind all of it seems so hollow. It looks like they took this virus idea of genetically altering people and ran with it, using every plotline in the book without settling on one. Everything from zombies, bioterrorism, to nightcrawler-like teleportation. Honestly, they need to stop trying to fit every niche and just stick with something. You can't possibly have everything in a single game and somebody needs to beat these script writers over the head with a big stick until they realize this.

Oh, and the ability to shoot but not run? The lousy aiming system? Being trampled by zombies without the ability to run and fight? These people need to learn what the fuck survival horror even means. I mean, let's face it. Silent Hill had shitty combat too, but their stories were always fucking incredible. What's Resident Evil 5's saving grace? A hot black chick as a partner?

..Okay, so they have me there. ;)

Anyway, I rate RE5 the same way I did Army of Two. I actually ENJOY dying in this game because it means I don't have to listen to any more of the main characters try to articulate a sentence with the mind of a pre-pubescent teenager. Maybe I've just grown up and my tastes are being held at higher standards, but I don't find a person willing to drag their partner through Africa to find an old flame with the mission objectives a secondary priority very savory. Fuck Chris Redfield, and fuck that black bitch for enabling him. She should've just capped his ass after they killed the giant and been done with it.

Games I'm looking forward to? Fuck, I need an Xbox 360. I gave my brother one, and I know the girl I'm dating has one so I might be in luck there. :D I'd like to try Bad Company, Bioshock 1 & 2 and a whole slew of other games I never got to play since I never got into the Xbox. Maybe find a co-op game my girl and I can both enjoy without me gnashing my teeth all the way through it, but something tells me she's a final fantasy fangirl which in my mind is strike two.
