Nintendo did a great job with the motion sensitive Wii remote, and PlayStation did well with PlayStation Move. Though both give motion sensitive gaming to the player, neither quite compare to the Xbox Kinect. ![]() Xbox Kniect is a new frontier in gaming. No longer do players need to use controllers, but all they need is the Kinect sensor. The Kinect sensor was initially developed by Rare, a company under Microsoft, and range camera technology by PrimeSense, an Israeli developer. ![]() The Kinect is not all that big. It is a thin horizontal bar that uses an several different technologies, such as cameras and microphones, to provide full body 3D motion capture. What ever your body does, the character in the game does. And it doesn't stop there, they also added in facial recognition and voice recognition abilities as well. If you think that's cool then wait until you hear this, the Xbox Kinect can track up to six players movements at the same time. ![]() What is even more impressing is how the Kinect adapts to the players surroundings. It is able to take out surrounding features, like furniture, and even adapts to light changes. In general the Xbox Kinect is one awesome piece of machinery. It truly is as Xbox says: "You are the controller". |

That's true for you but there are many who want to have more direct control and intimate interaction with the game. They are still going to have non-Kinect games but they are just adding an exciting chapter in video game technology. |

We call that a mouse. 100x more precise than a controller. |
