![]() In case you have not heard the Wii U has been announced. It is the new Nintendo home gaming system that hopes to bring back the Nintendo name. It has been under development ever since 2008 when Nintendo decided that they needed to step up their game console. ![]() Wii U Console. ![]() Wii U Controller. Now with a touch pad. So the Wii U may just sound like an other Wii. But Nintendo saw the several, very noticeable, flaws of the Nintendo Wii and said "We will step this up." They said that they want to bring "core" gamers back to the Nintendo, The newest thing is the controller. It is revamped. Now it has a touch pad, gyroscope, accelerometer, rumble, and a built in microphone. Though it only supports single touch, not multi-touch, which goes against modern trend. Also the gaming system itself is now revamped. Nintendo admitted to it's lower quality of graphics with the Wii and decided to add more HD hardware to the Wii U. The games will also be better. The Wii U is going to be able to start accepting 3rd Party Game. So better, non exclusive, games will be made for the Wii U. Also new games like Lego: Cities Stories, and an untitled Super Smash Bro. Sequel (Will preview when more information comes out) will come out for the Wii. This means that more games will be available for Wii gamers to play. Though Nintendo shares dropped 10%, two days after it was announced, to a low that matches 2006. Some analyst are now losing faith in the Nintendo controller. They say it will be too expensive and not as innovative as the original Wii remote. A lot of gamers also lost trust in Nintendo. Though personally I still do appreciate SOME of the games on the Wii. Most really are not too good. The Nintendo Wii U is said to come out sometime in 2012. |

Yeah, the touch pad will really kill it. I think they should have kept similar controllers. |
