Me and AleronIves confirmed this The SEGA HL server closed, on the jp website they ask to change the dns info in the network setting to theire new dns server. i configured my dns server to patch this problem for all dreamcast player, make sure that your DNS IP are set to my ip or any other dns server that have the new setting. dialup user: add this to the current connect code of the codebreaker US V2 022ED530 646f7370 022ED534 736e6463 022ED538 6874612e 022ED53C 0078632e EU V2 this version doesnt have a hl check server JP V2 This version have a network option in the WEBSITE menu of pso you can go in (WEBSITE -> left trigger-> option -> network) and add my ip as dns server or any other dns server that redirect u to the new hl server. BBA user: go in the network setting using pso or planetweb3.0 change nothing except the dns ip. you can put my ip or any other dns host that have the new setting save the new config and play like usual for DNS Server owner make sure to redirect auth01.dricas.com to 202.221.244.21 |

As Schthack said, I was able to get online by changing my DNS server to route auth01.dricas.com to 202.221.244.21. This was with a BBA, I haven't tested using a modem yet, so it would be nice if someone could test that and use Schthack's IP as their DNS server and see if they can get on with USv2. |

Shouldn't someone make a new CB connect code, just on the off chance that might work? |

yes a CB code would be better , but according to sega , when u go in WEBSITE, then prell the left trigger and select option, u have the network setting option... wich i dont have.... mabe this is just for psodc jp here is the translated info from sega 1."WEBSITE" empty dream passport Please start. Please select"the option" of the 2.L trigger. 3. Please select"the network information" under the right. 4. 4.1 In case of dial up "User provider network information" To "primary DNS"and "secondary DNS" Please set the IP address below. * It is not necessary to modify other item. 4.2 In case of broadband adapter "BbA utilization provider network information" To "primary DNS"and "secondary DNS" Please set the IP address below. * It is not necessary to modify other item. 5."Setting record" is selected. 6. At network information setting picture, Please select"the decision" under the left. 7. "Saving"the option settingpicture Please select. The 8.L trigger"it returns to the game",please select. It reaches the point where you can connect to the game server with above. |

The instructions they give are for Dream Passport, which is the Japanese DC web browser. Planetweb is the US browser, but DP is far superior. I believe that the homebrew browser XDP is a translated Dream Passport, can someone download it and use that to configure their DC? I think that might work... |

Yes, PSO has Dream Passport in it and you can enable it to let you browse websites. However you can't use it to configure your ISP settings, which is really dumb on Sega's part. You can't configure PSO to go online with the web browser that comes with it, you have to have a separate disc to configure your ISP. I think LittlePunk (Nico on these boards) is going to try to configure his DC to use dialup and see if he can get on tonight. |

ok this is for the US V2 add this to the codebreaker code, this should change the auth01.dricas.com to psodcdns.ath.cx wich point to the current hl server 022ED530 646f7370 022ED534 736e6463 022ED538 6874612e 022ED53C 0078632e if someone can try it and give news, i cant test it now i need to reburn pso. im prety sure the code is good but mabe we need to add a bypass like for the server address. thx |

Hiya all, 1st post for me. Glad to be here, was a huge fan of the game back in the day. Anyways, with BBA, on both v. 1 and 2, I get a "It is possible the server is undergoing maintenance" message, with the primary DNS set to the new server. This is actually further than I've gotten since starting this yesterday. Even though my DC is connected to my network in an unusual way (connecting to the net through my PC set up on wireless), I've verified that my DC is actually reaching out to the internet through the use of DC Linux' network tools. I've also verified that I can ping the new server from my DC. Let me know if there's more I can do to help. |

If you get a timeout you probably have too large of a hopcount from your ISP to Japan, so the DC times out and won't connect to the auth server. |
