Hey guys, Over the past few day's I've been working on this. Hopefully this will cover all major pinned and the more unrelated or was related a few months or a year ago even will no longer be pinned. Rules - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 1.Harassment is not tolerated, If you are reported with proof then we will give you a warning, if this continues then a kick will follow. If behavior continues after kick or down the line and multiple times then a ban will happen. This goes for false accusing also, which leads us to our next rule... 2.Do not falsely accuse anyone of doing anything. We will want treat you with the same exact way you are falsely accusing the other person of doing. 3.Hacking is acceptable on PSO GC so long as it does not interfere with legitimate game. First time offense is a warn, continue to do so leads to a kick, three kicks leads to a ban. Any harmful hacks to the server such as FSODs (Frozen Screen of Death) intentional server crashing, and forced disconnections. These sorts of hacks can and will lead to a instant perma ban. We have zero tolerance for these kind of hacks. 4.Item stealing is wrong, although in the past we did not have a say in this however since of the new Blue Burst rule I think that PSO GC should also have this rule. If reports of item stealing come in a GM will ask the thief to return all the items at once to the GM or to the players, failure to cooperate will result in a ban. 5.Do not use names or spam symbol chats that are either sexual or racist, if this is reported then you will either have to change your character's name or stop using the symbol or just tasteless. Failure to do so will lead to a kick, and after 3 kicks a ban. Keep in mind that this is suppose to be at the very least teen-friendly. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - II. PSO GC hangout location - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - The best place to find people to play with is on Cephei on block 1. This is were most of the Gamecube population goes to since Blue Burst players can not enter there. If Cephei is down the next best place to find Gamecube players Terra's Luna. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - IIB. Red Ring Obtainable by doing the quest “A New Hope” by finishing the quest without dieing once in ultimate mode. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - IIE. Wii support - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - There is no support for the wii as online goes, and will not exist till either home brewers figure a way or Nintendo fixes it. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - IIF. EP3 Support - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Schtserv does support EP.3 however to a limited amount it is being worked on by Crono. There is a limit to how much you can and cant do. For more information check out the episode 3 section. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - IIG. About V2> games and support - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Any game in team lists marked “V2>” are made by PSO PC players. You can enter these games however you are doing this at your own risk. The chances of FSODing is very great and we will not be held reliable for anything you may lose while in one of these games. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - IIH. Reporting Bugs - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - If a bug or any sort of glitch happens while online it is a good idea to report these odd occurrences to Crono via PM. A good detail should be provided, as to what you were doing up to the time the bug happened so Crono can do a better job fixing that bug. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - III. Connection and Registration - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - IIIA. Connection Guide - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - IIIA-1. What you need to know IIIA-2. Ways to connect IIIA-2.1. connecting with DNS IIIA-2.1.1. Valid DNS addresses IIIA-2.1.2. How to ping IIIA-2.2. Via Connection code IIIA-2.3. Dr.Dns IIIA-3. Errors you might get and troubleshoot - - - - - - - - - - - - - - IIIA-1. What you need to know - - - - - - - - - - - - - - First of all, check the version of Pso you have. You can check that by looking on the backside of the disc. It should have a code saying something like DOL-GPSE-0-00. look at the last 3 numbers. IF they are 0-00 then you got version 1.0 IF they are 0-01 then you got version 1.1 IF they are 0-02 then you got version 1.2 aka PSO+ NOTE: if you have Pso Episode 3 then you need to skip to 2.2 if you want to connect. Pso Episode 3 has the same difficulty with connecting because it has a patch like Pso+ The second thing you should know is what kind of connection you have. If you don’t know call your ISP (the company that provides you with your Internet) to find out. IIIA-2. Ways to connect - - - - - - - - - - - - - - You got 2 ways to connect. You can connect with the DNS way or using Action Reply (=AR). If you have Pso version 1.0/1.1 then you should try connecting using the method in 2.1. If you have Pso+/Episode 3 then you should go to 2.2 if you have trouble. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - IIIA-2.1 Connecting with DNS - - - - - - - - - - - - - - This is the most used way to connect to schtserv. These easy to follow steps will show how it’s done: 1)Start Pso 2)When it’s ready go to the Options menu. 3)When you’re in the options menu go to “Network Option “and then go to “Provider Option“ and choose “yes”. 4) THIS STEP MUST BE SKIPPED WHEN YOU ALREADY HAVE A NETWORK FILE ON YOUR MEMORY CARD Once it’s loaded it will ask to make a new file. Just make the file on a memory card you wish. And load it. 5)When you loaded the network file you need to go to the “Network Setup” menu. 6)At this point you can choose which Provider option you want to change to connect to Schtserv. Once you choose the provider press the “Edit Menu” button. 7)On the next screen you can rename the provider you choose. This can be called whatever you like and is optional. When done, click next 8)On this screen choose the options “Automatically Obtain an IP Address” and “Do not automatically Disconnect” .Then click next. ![]() 9)On the Screen you now see you the option to set the DNS ip’s .Do this by choosing the “Manual” option. The ip’s that must be set are found in 2.1.1. The Settings I recommend are: Primary: Schthack Secondary: Whatever else there is After setting the ip’s, make sure that the DHCP option is not set . When done: click next ![]() 10) WOW! YOU DID IT! now don’t forget to save using the save button! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - IIIA-2.1.1 Valid DNS addresses - - - - - - - - - - - - - - DNS hosted @ gsproduc.ath.cx DNS address: Gsproduc.ath.cx IP: 208.69.57.87 Captain N IP: 65.12.199.46 The Dude IP: 72.241.24.122 To run your own DNS, Download the program here then PM The Dude to add you up to this list. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - IIIA-2.1.2 How to ping - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Go to: Start > Run > command and type: ping "hostname" and press return. Your PC then tries to conntact the host which will show you the hosts IP adress which you can use as a DNS to connect too. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - IIIA-2.2 Via Connection Code - - - - - - - - - - - - - - This is a list of connection codes that will connect you to gsproduc.ath.cx (Note, you still need the corresponding M code for your version): US 1.0 9DXU-33XP-22EJ3 3TRR-3450-2GEVB NW7P-5GAA-UYN9G 232U-8J4M-1XE8H E37U-8XW3-F2WZA US 1.1 U3ZJ-ENN7-73N74 2PQP-8YEA-ZF1V8 6EPX-CW40-BW13G E1X0-E5AM-B1Y0G F0XM-5GF2-BAUQ9 US 1.2/PSO Plus CHZK-T77G-0VWMZ UEQZ-0TNM-20MZZ HQHG-DCTK-T14VE YUQC-XAXK-DMGEP 2QNJ-RNWP-65RXD EU 2N11-4E97-JQGRH VUXH-33D7-20840 6RUT-WRYW-P050D 53HV-W1ZW-GWQKN 0R4Z-WDRD-KYCH6 US Episode 3 EXC8-T7R5-JXQ9V JWNA-5Q6F-3C92K 7Y4N-16A3-N5KG7 YXEY-3H3Y-Z3KH1 FTUH-QNB9-MCBVE EU Episode 3 34NP-HYJ5-56RV7 8WYX-MEQX-ZWXE0 FYZZ-E8WK-PWFBD Z6UU-7UDN-QE1UJ NT37-GR6E-6N09C You might as well make your own code. For that you need to know: - What PSO version you are using - The server host adress (for example gsproduc.ath.cx) - The game ID First off, you need the following tools: GCNcrypt Or for Mac/Linux Users: GCNcrypt for non-windows people And Toaster Mage's Connection Code generator Game IDs are 1.0/1.1 07FFXXXX 08000000 EU 07FFXXXX 81000000 1.2 / PSO Plus 0E80XXXX 08000000 Ep3 US 0F00XXXX 08000000 Ep3 EU 0F00XXXX 08000000 XXXX in these IDs can be replaced with anything from 0 - F (Thanks Toaster Mage) First you run the connection code generator. Then you enter the server adress into the fancy little box and select your PSO version. When you have that code, you run GCNcrypt and copy 'n paste the code into the left window. Then you grab one of the game IDs listed above (Make sure you grab the correct ID) and uncheck the box in GCNcrypt that says "Auto verifier". Also add the Game ID on top of your code and hit Decrypt. The (M) codes for your version can be found in the GC Cheating section in one of the pinned topics. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - IIIA-2.3. DRDNS - - - - - - - - - - - - - - First you need to get DR.DNS http://z7.invisionfree.com/PSO_SERVER_HOME...topic=14800&hl= Gamecube - - - - - - - Laptop ---------- Internet (wireless connection) Note: This setup will not work if you are using a PC wireless card, as these turn your lan connection into a wireless connection. You need to be using a laptop/pc that has BOTH a Lan AND a wireless connection (intel centrino laptops work fine), and most new computers should have both. 1.) My GC is connected to my computer thru an ethernet cable. (NOT A CROSSOVER CABLE!!) 2.) Go to your wireless router (or your neighbor's like i did), and change its IP to something other than the default which is 192.168.0.1 or whatever. Make it 192.168.2.2 or something else. 3.) Now make sure ur laptop is connected via wirless (from your router) and can access the internet. 3.5) Next its time to enable ICS (internet connection sharing) on your wireless network connection. ![]() 4.) Now, right click your wireless internet connection, and click the "support" tab. Then get the I.P. address and plug that into PSO's BBA setup. - This step makes your gamecube try and connect to your laptop. 5.) Now, you will need to get your hands on a program called DRDNS. Try this link DRDNS 6.) Ok its now time to try and connect. Plug your Gamecube into your laptop via an ethernet chord. Make sure DRDNS is running and has found the server. (should say "the doctor's office is now open"). Then start up your gamecube, and go online like usual. If it works, you should get online fine. You should also see a log of your connection attempt in the DRDNS window. 7.) if you dont get online, dont panic. - make sure you can access webpages - make sure all your cables are connected. - make sure that ICS is enabled on the wireless internet connection (should see the little hand icon). - make sure that your LAN connection is also enabled, as this is how your GC accesses your pc/laptop. - make sure your gamecube is trying to connect to the IP adress of your wireless internet connection (can also get this number from doing /ip config in a comand prompt). You will know if this is happening correctly because you will see activity in the DRDNS screen, showing that your gamecubes connection attempt has been redirected. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - IIIA-3. Errors you might get - - - - - - - - - - - - - - That's pretty simple... Any error that you receive during the burst screen is a problem on your end. - You used the wrong connection settings - Some cable is not pluged in properly - In case of a BBA, your modem is turned off Errors on the lobby screen are usually errors related to you not being able to reach the server in time. 100 - You have been disconnected, just reconnect 101 - Means the server is down or the IP changed. In that case ping one of the hosts. 102 - PSO can't reach the server, check your IPs and try different IPs. If you get stuck at the "Above lobby" screen without any error message, you are lagging/your connection sucks. Try to connect again or change the DNS. Any other error is SEGA related, means you have been sent to SEGA servers instead. In that case, check your IPs and change them if necessary. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - IIIB. Registration - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - To register your guildcard simply e-mail schtserv@gmail.com The proper way to send your serial in should look like this ****************************************** Serial Number: 123456789 Access Key: 012345678901 m9A4Zy8 ****************************************** WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT SEND IT IN LIKE THIS ****************************************** Serial Number: 01-2345-6789 Access Key: 0123-4567-8901 ****************************************** This will not be accepted for lack of security code, and if you did type that in it would not be accepted anyways because of the “-” Keep in mind that also this is done manually by Ives. If your guild card is not registered in 1 weeks time then re-send it in. THE SERCURITY CODE IS NOT THE PASSWORD YOU TYPE IN PSO, IT IS A CODE YOU MUST HAVE IN YOUR E-MAIL SENT SO IT'S NOT THROWN OUT AS JUNK MAIL. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - IV. Odds and Ends - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - IVA. Server Commands - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ---Lobby Commands--- /friendlist – Tells you who is online, only keeps track of usernames and not guild cards /addfriend – Adds a friend to the friendlist /delfriend – Deletes a friend from your friendlist /ignore – Ignores a person in the lobby, you will no longer be able to hear from this person “note: this only effects for that current online session” /unignore – Removes the person from the /ignore command ---In-Game Commands--- /legit – Marks your game as legitimate, games with this command should look like this “L>game” /normal – Removes any tags, games should look like this “game” /hack – Marks your game as hacked, games with this command should look like this “H>game” /setpass – Sets a password or removes it /setlvl – Only works in normal and hacked mode Any other command will not work on PSO GC - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - IVB. Sodaboy's Proxy - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Sodaboy's proxy is a public program that allows you to do multiple things on PSO GC that you could not before, may they be for legitimate reasons or hacking reasons. I won't go into detail too much. You can download a copy of the latest version at this link. Also here is list of programs and notepads that go well with this proxy $makeitem notes http://www.pioneer2.net/bb_items.txt mag maker http://www.vengefulsoda.com/magmaker.exe s-rank maker http://www.vengefulsoda.com/srank.exe - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - IVC. CTR-GCS - Back up your whole memory card - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Instructions here's the files you need. first of all, try reading ctr-gcs.txt, which is the readme for ctr-gcs, as well as readme.txt, which is the readme for psoload. if you have questions after that, please PM me. btw, several things: This only works on PSO ep 1&2, non plus (because it requires streaming), and requires you to make a provider setting on your GC, AS SHOWN: ![]() ![]() next, configure ctr-gcs.exe as explained in ctr-gcs.txt, making sure to imput your IPs correctly and using the -c argument. PSOload is run as follows: PSOload.exe %A% -i%B% ctr-gcs.dol where %B% is replaced with your PC IP %A% is replaced with your version code, as follows: -vU (U.S. V1.0) -vU2 (U.S. V1.1) -vJ (JPN V1.0) -vJ2 (JPN V1.1) -vE (PAL 60Hz) -vE -p9201 (PAL 50Hz) you should keep running PSOLoad (i recomend making a shortcut with the above arguments in it) until the last line is this: Waiting for connections (Press Ctrl-C to exit)... at this point, try to go online with your GC. you should see the lobby flash onscreen for about half a second, then it should go black with a few lines of text at the top. at this point, run ctr-gcs.exe using the commands you want (found in ctr-gcs.txt). once it finishes, you can soft reset by pressing B+Start. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - V. Credits and Source - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Demon – A lot of stuff you see here is from his threads or re-phrased from his threads As much as some people may hate him, he did give us a lot of the info you see here. Rappyslapper – For the Dr.DNS part of the connection guide. Daco - The "how to connect with a non plus version" part of the connection guide. Ives – For the original how to send out a proper guild card registration forum Turey – For the original CTR-GCS guide , this is nothing more then copypasta. Sodaboy - For this proxy. Schthack – For being the original server programmer, I wouldn't be here writing this if he decided not to save this game. ![]() Crono – The new server programmer, for future patches that haven't come yet. ![]() Sleeps – For the original idea of slapping them all together and even sending me what he had done. Myself – Because I decided this needed to be done and got it done. Sega - For the original game. Edited by FENRIR, Jun 5 2008, 01:13 AM.
