Due to personal issues, it looks like I won't be able to make the meet-up tomorrow night. I'm really sad because I was looking forward to hanging with my Floyd buddies.

I really like your signature , but unfortunately the written text 'Mr. Richard Wright' doesn't do justice the peculiar way David utters it on Royal Festival Hall Meltdown DVD, welcoming Rick on 'Breakthrough'.

A Saucerful of Secrets

Enjoyed last nights's show more than the 1st night, I was sitting up closer, 4 rows back or so in the stalls, front row. Sat beside 2 nice guys who love their music. The night before, sat beside 2 arseholes drinking 2 beers each at a time shouting "Go on Dave my son" sporadically, drinks spilled on the floor, arms flying imitating drum beats etc while the other had the air guitar in full swing, one lad fell asleep half way through the show then. The band were more relaxed last night, great laser bit at the end, David struggled on some vocal parts both nights even reneged on the chorus on "In any tongue". Great shows, looking forward to tonight's show.

I've just come back from Royal Albert Hall. Before the show I took the guided tour around the venue and saw some preparations for the concert. Later I handed my spare ticket to Glenn and we stayed at the RAH so at the end I didn't make it to Paxton. But later it tourned out to be very good decision! When we were walking around they opened the doors around 6PM and of course we entered when sound check was still going. We went to our 2nd tier box just to found it open. We have part of the sound check for us and nobody saw us ![]() They were playing "In Any Tongue" with Gilmour's son on keyboards and sax player on acoustic guitar. There was some filming going on and photos were taken. Some woman was putting make up on his face, so maybe they were shooting another "concert" promo. At the end he sad that they're going to play "Coming Back To Life" at usual spot. I have recorded part of it and took some pictures. The show itself was amazing. I have an impression that he nailed each and every solo today. Brazilian sax player was doing insane job and I found his guitar contribution to IAT very nice. At the end he didn't play CBTL but lasers were back on CN. We're sitting between the lasers layers and it was an amazing experience. His solo from CN was very long PULSE-like. I've recorded encores as well - sound is terrible (Sony Xperia Z1), but video should be very good. WOW!

Sorrow was a particular highlight for me this evening. Mr Gilmour seemed on fire during that one and I never tonight I'd see that song played live! The sax player he has is absolutely sublime. |

Amazing show on 25/9. The equal to the last night at the RAH in 2006. I'll post up pictures and a review tomorrow. Sleep beckons! |
