Succinctly encapsulated your barmy evening at Royal Albert Hall! (y)

After eight pints in three hours maybe that wanker did hallucinate and see images of Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman onstage instead of David Gilmour. :errm: titter!!!!

But, what the fuck, did he seriously leave RAH before Comfortably Fucking Numb?! Sod him! --o'

Yes, he seriously did. Comfortably Numb started and mid verse (about 30 seconds before the solo), he was "I'm off!", barged his way out and went.

I KNOW. But my experience improved considerably for the last 10 minutes of the gig.

Hello Kink

yeah AD was fantastic 24th &25 he was certainly in the zone over the two night im a bit mixed imo 25th was like a different gig idk if it was where i was sat stalls right handside i was stalls left hand side 25th 2nd row back.

i was choking to get onto the flat stalls bit but there was an usher lurking around at one point during Run Like Hell she.got up and went away n i went for it! over the wall jumped down and headed to two the front for the last few tracks it was epic to him so close got some no bad pics

Ps Sorry to the guy for tapping you on the should to get past n stuff I hope i didnt piss you off too much :)

im a bit mixed bout the whole gig no where near the epicness of 2006 but a.great gig

Back home in Cork after the 3 London shows, thoroughly enjoyed them, last night was better again than the 2nd one for me, few mistakes, good to see, maybe the solo in "The Blue" and the lyric in "In any tongue" the joystick line sang in the 1st chorus aswell as the 2nd I thought? Great lighting etc. Would love to see the remaining 2 shows but not possible, really enjoyed my time in London.

Beside Rick and a song like Echoes, what would you say is missing on this tour ? Having seen David in 2006 and going to see him again in 2016, im just curious.

The three big 'differences' are Rick, Dick Parry... and "Echoes". It's still an epic gig. Probably the main difference is 'On An Island' was a rebirth after 12 years in the dark, and this is a continuation of the 'OAI' vibe after a mere 9 year absence.

What a great 3 days/nights here in London. Gilmour got better and better each night. For me the 3rd night at the RAH was the best show yet. Back to NY on Monday and back here in sunny London on Oct 2nd for 2 more shows. These past few days have been awesome. Met some great people at the Paxton Head and also, on the Pink Floyd tour. A quick thank you to my wife who should get wife of the year award for letting me do what I do.I look foward to "our" shows at MSG and Toronto 16!

I'm not so sure... I'd suggest that Rick and Echoes accounted for a substantial proportion of the epicness last time around

Thanks for posting those pictures. I can see myself in a couple of them - thats how close I was to David Gilmour during the encore of the show for three nights.

hi Blackstratblues

yeah man it was still good too see him though, specialy when i manged to get into the edge of the 2nd row from the front for the last few tracks that was a risk but thought fuk it, go fir it and it payed off il never see him C numb solo that close again

oan an island was great too his guitaring oan that was immense

it was great to See Mr Screen and the footage and a bit of lazers shame theres was none during Sorrow though

two more hightlights were Mr Gilmour standing singing a boat lies waiting, just him 1st time ive seen him singing guitarless live that was cool he looked totally exposed doing that amazing

oh and his little dances/shuffles here n there :D

its all still sinking in and i hope i can get decent audio from both nights and have another listen :)

Cheers Blackstratblues  up,,,]]ad
