I was in a bar in Chester the other day with my girlfriend, admittedly a little worse for wear. When amazingly Dont wanna know bout evil came on!! I proceeded to tell my girlfriend and pretty much everyone else in the bar how amazing this song was and how Beth was the greatest artist of all time. During this i am told i was doing some ridiclous attempt at trying to dance to the record at the same time  .....well i had fun anyway. Got me thinking thou if anyone else has heard Beth's tunes played in any unlikley places? (she seems to be a regular at McDonalds!!!- not that i eat there you understand) or how mental you have gone to hearing a Beth track just at the right time or unexpectadly?

Nice topic...the only public place I have heard her music was in a small diner in Vermont one time.
My wife and I were having lunch and Concrete Sky came on. We both looked at each other, our eyes perked up, and together we chimed in "Beth!"

Have heard the Tekdub version of Anywhere a couple of times at Escape in Swansea. (always worse for wear)
Went to the JobCentre today, and the Army were there going "Be the Best" ... now T-Mobile just told me I didn't have the qualifications to sell phones, Microsoft said I didn't have the qualifications to answer the phones, and the Army want to let me loose with a machine gun?

The piano bit from Comfort of Strangers was on Springwatch (BBC2) tonight, on a feature of Hen Harriers in Scotland. Lovely!

Last week, my wife was watching one of those night time dramas, and Beth singing God Song came on.
I knew immediately what song it was, and afterward her name appeared when they rolled the credits.
Anyone know what show I'm referring to? I missed it.

On Friday i was out playing snooker (yes i know what a way to spend your friday night!) and this bar was full of hairy biker types playing megadeath and slipknot or something, however i noticed that Beth's concieved was on the Jukebox so after a few drinks i decided to put it on just to see how it would go down. you should have seen the looks on their faces!! ha ha.   some body shouted who put this shit on!, as i sniggerd into my pint and kept very quiet. Think we should start a new game of putting Beth's songs on jukebox's in the most inapropriate settings. Little tip thou dont do it in bars where people have ready made weapons, ie: snooker cues!! :darkside: ouch !!!

I'm waiting for a former board member to send me a copy of that gig, once he has finished his accountancy professional exams (in Canada)
