They used a Beth track last night on Horizon on BBC2 - Danny Wallace trying to convice people that "Chimps are human too".

Good programme, but my god was the woman at the end nuts.

About 30 seconds of "Safe In Your Arms" during the first scene of Monday night's episode of "What About Brian" (2nd episode).

Forget which network, either ABC or CBS

Twice on TV last night.... end of 2nd episode of ER has Ooh Child in. Then the Channel 4 trailer on for that episode has Devil Song on it.

Yesterday's Gone (or Montok Point), of all songs, was on Eastenders omnibus today. Almost fell out of my chair!
Went to the JobCentre today, and the Army were there going "Be the Best" ... now T-Mobile just told me I didn't have the qualifications to sell phones, Microsoft said I didn't have the qualifications to answer the phones, and the Army want to let me loose with a machine gun?

Went to buy my supper just now at my nearest shop - a mini supermarket not 50 yards from home - and when I got back I realised I'd forgotten the cream for my bilberries - so ... hotfooted it back to the shop. I walked thru the door and blow me, there's Beth (and they never play music) singing Best Bit! :D

A clear case of keeping the best till last, if you ask me, which of course you didn't. :yo:

Why does English food often sound vaguely pornographic?

Don't tell me that bilberries (blueberries) are forbidden fruit in the US?! (yikes)

Nope, blueberries are not pornographic. But if you got into a big vat of them with a young lady and sloshed around, well, that might be pornigraphic.

Speaking of berries, this last summer while vacationing up north, I got introduced to thimbleberries. I picked a bunch of them, and had them on my cereal the next day. I guess they are a favorite of bears.

What were we talking about? :huh2:

Now thimbleberries I don't know, at least not by that name.

Edit: I just looked 'em up in wiki ... they're a kind
of raspberry (my favourite fruit!) and ...

In a pinch, the leaves of the thimbleberry are recognized as a handy "toilet paper". They are large, soft and non-irritating.

Nothing escapes the attention of the all-seeing Wiki! :)

The longer I live in the woods, the more I learn about edible things in the wild. It is all there if you know what to look for.
The past few summers have been bone dry, and bears are finding it harder and harder to locate food...so they find it in my yard...in the name of my bird feeders. They crack them open, and eat the cracked corn and sunflower seeds. It is daunting, however, to see a bruin outside your door trying to break in.

I don't know, it's just that "...cream for my bilberries..." made me think of spotted dick, toad-in-the-hole, and other comestibles that sound like sex metaphors but aren't.

Just my feelthy mind working overtime.

Carry on!

They used to be called 'whortleberries' in Somerset, but I've never heard them called that in Devon.

Is that sexy enough for you, TJ? Cream on your whortleberries!

[pronounced 'whirtle' :P ]
