I gotta ask though, did a kid paint those white lines?
Went to the JobCentre today, and the Army were there going "Be the Best" ... now T-Mobile just told me I didn't have the qualifications to sell phones, Microsoft said I didn't have the qualifications to answer the phones, and the Army want to let me loose with a machine gun?

Sounds very typical of something that would happen here in the states. When money is allocated for something, better spend it all or next time you won't get that much to spend. That sorta explains our Army spending $250.00 on toilet seats, and $400.00 on claw hammers.
I used to live near the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore. Twenty years ago they spent a million dollars to pave a six foot wide bike trail that snaked through the dunes for seven miles. Seemed like money well spent at the time, as everybody suddenly used that trail.
Over the years, the trail deteriorated, and large weeds popped through the pavement which by then was only used by an occasional hiker.
Then, about five years ago, one of the higher ups in the Park Service came up with a brilliant idea to upgrade the original bike trail. This time, 3 million was used up, and the last I saw of the bike trail was status quo. Makes you wonder what that money could really be used on... :huh2:
I'd rather have a bottle in front of me, than a frontal lobotomy.

There was one on Watchdog or something a few weeks ago; They built a cycle path along a cliff to replace an old cycle path, they didn't make it wide enough, and so it can't be used. £125,000 ($250,000) well spent.
