30 years ago today I married Paula Jean Barbour in a little rural church in Boone Grove, Indiana. It's hard to believe it's been that long...sometimes it seems like yesterday.
We've been through a lot...the two of us, and it boggles my mind to think about the places we've been and the things we've done.
But through it all we've done it together.
Here's to romance...

Went to the JobCentre today, and the Army were there going "Be the Best" ... now T-Mobile just told me I didn't have the qualifications to sell phones, Microsoft said I didn't have the qualifications to answer the phones, and the Army want to let me loose with a machine gun?

depends on who you kill, a 25 yo girl just stabbed her father and sister to death and it was revealed today that she was seriously mentally ill but her parents denied her treatment because they are scientologists. The story kinda implied that they deserved it. hmmm...

Congratulations to Rob and Paula!

Given that it happened in "Boone Grove" and in 1976, is it safe to assume that a lot of Boones' Farm was imbibed at he festivities? :drunk: :wot:

Muchas gracias, everyone. Tonight it is Mexican chow in the little town south of here. I bought Paula her gift today, and she liked it. It's a totem pole. Not very romantic, but it's what we wanted. And no, Gonzo, it aint that kind of pole!

TJ, do your math. It was in 1977, and no Boones Farm was consumed. We opted for a small cake and ice cream reception, and then it was on to Niagra Falls...which is one totally awesome site.

Slowly I turn, step by step, inch by inch... ;)

Congrats Rob! 30 years is awesome! I hope I'm that lucky.... I sure it feels 'like a long time for a little while' reflecting back.

Once again, congratulations!

Dave

And what other sort of pole would you be referring to? hmm i'm not really worldly and all being so young, i think that maybe i might be getting led astray by older dirty minds.

Niagra falls is beautiful but what i remember most about it is how cold it was.

If you go in winter it could be deadly. I just recall it being in the 90's, but the spray coming off the falls was invigorating.

Q: What did one Indian say to the other Indian?

A: You totem pole? ;)

Yep, last I checked I was still married. At this stage of life, you really appreciate your spouse. We hold each other up in times of duress.
It took me a half hour to get out of bed this morning, as my arthritis is going from bad to worse. She took care of all the morning chores. I take over later in the day when I'm feeling better. That way, she can crash and burn early in the evening.

I read that as;

Yep, last I checked I was still married. At this stage of life, you really appreciate your spouse. We hold each other up in times of undress.

Which is particularly apt, if you thing about it :D
