Mama was just out watering, as it has been so dry. She left a bucket of water out in the yard, and came in to prepare breakfast.
Up shows a mother doe deer and two little fawns...cuter than the dickens. They drank water from the bucket, ate a little alfalfa, and then the doe nursed one of the fawns.
After a bit, they went back into the woods. I turned around, and right behind me lay my camera, all ready to use. I was so caught up in the moment I missed my big chance. Hope they come back...
I'd rather have a bottle in front of me, than a frontal lobotomy.

The drain is flooding past my house, and I almost slid down the motorway on an oil slick mixed with torrential rain.

It ain't dry around here!
Went to the JobCentre today, and the Army were there going "Be the Best" ... now T-Mobile just told me I didn't have the qualifications to sell phones, Microsoft said I didn't have the qualifications to answer the phones, and the Army want to let me loose with a machine gun?

Aint that crazy? We can't buy a drop, and you guys are swimming in the worst flooding in years. Every afternoon it clouds up and looks ugly, but it won't rain. It just gets hotter and more muggy.
MInd you, people up here are used to cool summers and chilly autumns and winters. Hot humid weather gets us northernaires might cranky.
I think I'll get out the sprinkler this evening and see how many deer I can attract with it.
