We actually rank as the 4.75 millionth largest website (by traffic). Considering there are an estimated 29.7 billion on the internet, I think that deserves a cheer!
Went to the JobCentre today, and the Army were there going "Be the Best" ... now T-Mobile just told me I didn't have the qualifications to sell phones, Microsoft said I didn't have the qualifications to answer the phones, and the Army want to let me loose with a machine gun?

Who was number 1?
I'd rather have a bottle in front of me, than a frontal lobotomy.

Well, that makes sense. I only use it as my home page, and its where my gmail account is set up.
What web page has the most contamination of spyware?
I'm guessing CNN.

No idea. Doesn't look to be too bad on the face of it; the information google keeps on you is quite bad too though.

Which of course is how they get to be number one.

We are all in there dozens or thousands of times over.

(I am in there as a peace protester, published poet and as a writer of letters to newspapers, not to mention certain Beth-related activities! The fortunate thing is that there are plenty of other Alastair Sutherlands, so I can always pretend to be another one entirely, come the revolution!)

Didn't quite mean it like that ... I meant the stuff they physically keep on you. For example, you notice how whenever we talk about Barry Manilow on here, you get ads about Barry Manilow on the page ... that's google.

GoogleMail is even worse - to keep it free, they scan your emails, and give you adverts based on it. They have also had to recently explain why they keep so much data on your computer, in the form of cookies, and reduce the amount of time (to 10 year) that they are stored. Every search you make is also stored on their servers.

That said, having had a good look at jobs there, it trumps any company I have ever seen for "the place to work"

Fortunately, only my name exists on the website at work, and I am on the Jim O'Rourke one somewhere. However, the website which I have just written has alot of pictures of me on it. (I strongly protested, but my boss went apeshit, and so there it is!)

I will point him out, don't you worry. ;)

I just got an email from one of my housemates that last week, he was named the most promising civil engineer in the country by the IEEE, and will become one of the youngest (full) professors ever. If that boy had an ounce of an ego, he would be extremely dangerous! Fortunately, he is really EXCEPTIONALLY understated, quiet, considerate and dependable. (he underplayed all that, btw!)
