Ok, I'm bored. What about a top 5 thread on anything whatsoever? Since the recent discussion of cadbury's Flakes I'm going for confectionery. 1. Sports mixtures (not the Maynards crap that's currently in shops, the original Lyon's ones. With licorice flavoured black ones, particularly the licorice flavoured black ones. 2. Black Bullets (really strong peppermint boiled sweets, haven't seen them in years). 3. Green and Black's Chocolate. 4. Galaxy Caramel. (The fact that I'm on one a day at wor kspeaks volumes for current rapid expansion) 5. Midget Gems (poor relation of afore mentioned Sports mixtures, with an irritating pear flavoured one thrown in for bad measure.) |

Boost (but only when it's ice cold, and you can cut through it) 4. Lindt 70% cocoa milk chocolate with macadamia nuts. 5. 4 finger Kit-Kat (orange, preferably, and none of this Kit-Kat chunky shit!) Urm, top 5 magazines or comics |

Went to the JobCentre today, and the Army were there going "Be the Best" ... now T-Mobile just told me I didn't have the qualifications to sell phones, Microsoft said I didn't have the qualifications to answer the phones, and the Army want to let me loose with a machine gun? | |

Your closer than I am ... I took my first class today, and I royally fucked it up! I am meant to be looking at teaching primary school children from the local SEN school next week, and I am REALLY worried now! Fortunately, I have managed to convince our CEO that I am more use at developing the business side of things, and implementing stuff that will inevitably increase productivity, and so I am interviewing for some help to do the training side of things, next Wednesday. Non-alcoholic drinks then 1. Diet Tango 2. Tea (milk in after the water and the teabag, and two Sweetex) 3. J20 4. Asda smoothies 5. Tap water Top 5 favourite sports! |

What age range/ developmental stage? Is IT you will be teaching? Don't know about down south but it's all PC's with RM software in schools here( and it's a total pain in the backside if you want to do anything that you would at home...ie,use Microsoft word ), but some great programmes for kids. If you are going to be using any of that stuff I might be able to suggest anything age or stge appropriate... if I can help give me a shout. |

Cheers Streps, I know the RM stuff, which is basically Windows Server NT with a bit of school administration stuff thrown on top, but because we are a commercial organisation that have to deal with other outside groups, it's just going to be the software which we use specifically for the children, rather than the whole RM range. The IT co-ordinator at the school has asked me to look into the 2Simple software range, which looks to be very basic stuff for creating newsletters and the like, but I haven't had a chance to look at it really properly yet. (Job for tomorrow!) |

Haven't come across the 2 simple stuff. Our lot (up to 8 yrs olds) have worked on Colour Magic, used the databases, done simple word stuff with copying and pasting etc, but that might be at an earlier level than th eones you are looking at. Creating newsletters sounds like a more able group than I've worked with in ICT. |

If you are looking for any other tips though, try the TES forum for ICT, it's full of techno speak that I'm sure is a lot more within your ken than mine
