I hope whatever she does, it gets a vinyl release..my COS vinyl is quite lonely, and i'm unlikely to find any of the earlier albums at a reasonable price

Walrus - do you have a copy of Central Reservation on vinyl??

An interesting article about widespread artist dissatisfaction with EMI.

I just watched a TV interview (taped at SXSW) with the founder of Topspin Media, which provides a range of marketing and distribution services for bands and artists. In addition to a lot of acts I've never heard of, they also work for Paul McCartney, Beck, Peter Gabriel, et. al....

This seems like the type of arrangement that would work well for Beth in lieu of the pretty-much-defunct traditional label relationship. I'd imagine Errol is all over this type of thing figuring out what would work best for his clients.

Oh...and at the end of the interview he was asked what band he most looked forward to seeing at SXSW. Guess what it was?

The Jim Jones Review!!

I about fell off my chair! :)
