I really hope Amazon sells this....the US/UK exchange rate makes import vinyl shopping kind of impossible.

Just got a bit more info ... from an independent record shop I've used for years in Newcastle ... always very very helpful and reliable ...

Beth Orton - Trailer Park
Vinyl reissue - Released 15th February
Beth Orton’s debut album is one of the most innovative and impressive
records of the 90s. It is a beautifully inspired mix of folk and
electronica, which may sound like a cliché today but this is the album
responsible for that cliché. Absolutely cutting edge and with killer
songwriting to boot, a pop album like no other before or since. Tracks -
Side A: 1. She Cries Your Name 2. Tangent 3. Don't Need A Reason 4. Live
As You Dream 5. Sugar Boy Side B: 1. Touch Me With Your Love 2. How Far 3.
Someone's Daughter 4. I Wish I Never Saw The Sunshine 5. Galaxy Of
Emptiness

Now reissued on Plain Recordings Luxury Vinyl reissue, still only going
to be 750 copies pressed so this also likely to be a collectors item of
the future.

... have emailed for more details and to see how many copies he thinks he can get ... hope for update later today gents :)

No problemo ... meant to say I would highly recommend Reflex but a few others I see pre-ordering too

BTW ... Andy @ Reflex owns a copy of the Winnebago cassette ... but always refuses to give / sell it to me :(

Looks like they cut "Whenever" in order to fit it on a single LP, which is fine with me, since I really hate these 2-LP pressings with only 10-12 minutes a side.

I just pre-ordered it from Amazon for $18 along with the new Johnny Cash on vinyl ($13, to qualify for the free shipping...WIN), says it will ship around March 1st. Really excited for this. :)

I'm sure that Amazon listing wasn't there early this morning when I looked, so must have been added in the last six hours or so. When I saw this originally, I went to Legacy's website knowing they reissue vinyl versions of their records, but it wasn't there.

It seems the issuer --- Plain Recordings--- keeps a pretty low profile. Don't bother going to the website they list on their MySpace page as ther is nothing there and my antivirus pops up and says it is infected. :wot:

I wonder how this works? I guess Sony/Legacy (et al) must lend the masters to companies like Plain to do vinyl pressings that are too low-volume for a big company to bother with?? Hope Beth gets some royalties...it seems a little peculiar Errol didn't know about it. But I guess in this biz nothing is surprising...

P.S. ---FWIW--Selling at Rasputin's for $14.99. Can't tell what their shipping charges are since you have to click through the checkout to find out, and not sure about overseas shipping. But worth a look for those in the US at least. (And no sales tax other than CA or FL).
