Interesting line-up of musicians ...

Brad Albetta (on bass) is of course Martha Wainwright's hubby/manager, and Oren Bloedow has also been in Martha's band!

got my copy of dendrophile today, and skipped straight to track 9 :D and it wasn't a great first listen. Will give the album a proper full end to end listen to see if it does the song justice but lets just say Beth is used as a backing vocal at best, Justin's vocals overpower beths, if you didnt know she was on the credits you could easily miss it, shame i was looking forward to this one :(

I hope it grows on you, Si ^_^

Personally, I love it ... ok, Beth could have been given a bit more prominence, but (to my ears) it couldn't be anyone else, her voice harmonizes so beautifully, and it is such a truly great song!

:worthy:

(Diamonds and Rust was written by Joan Baez ... if there is anyone out there who doesn't already know it ... I would dearly love to hear Beth take it on as a solo cover in performance!)
