Mojo, Bauer Media's pop music magazine, which celebrated its 200th anniversary issue in June, is offering consumers a 12-inch vinyl Beatles album covermount with its October issue.

Mojo: vinyl edition available from August 31

A limited run of 10,000 copies has been created of the album, which is a version of Let It Be Revisited The Beatles final album from 1970, covered by a selection of modern artists, including Beth Orton. Mojo currently sells an average of 91,678 copies each month according to latest ABC figures.

So who can rip vinyls here then?
Went to the JobCentre today, and the Army were there going "Be the Best" ... now T-Mobile just told me I didn't have the qualifications to sell phones, Microsoft said I didn't have the qualifications to answer the phones, and the Army want to let me loose with a machine gun?

I can rip vinyl. Unfortunately I doubt many (if any) of these will make it over to the states.

200th anniversary??

Do they have Roll Over Beethoven performed by ol' Ludwig himself?

Later this week I'll be in the vicinity of a news store that carries imported magazines (i.e., if they are still in business...I haven't been by there in a couple years...) ; time permitting I'll see if they are there and have Mojo. A number of years ago there I picked up some issues of Uncut Mag for the "free" CDs.

The MOJO Vinyl edition of Let It Be Revisited can be purchased from WH Smith, HMV, and selected record shops in the UK, and exclusively from Barnes & Noble and Borders in the US. Limited copies are also available from www.mojo4music.com where overseas readers can order this unique version of the magazine.

The rest of the album is the usual bobbins, for the most part.

Although there are quite a few tracks that are pretty good, I won't be ordering the LP version...
