$30,100 eh?!

Very interesting, and clearly not a fake.

One can be too suspicious of eBay. Of course there are fakes and forgeries out there, but they are everywhere else as well.

I buy on eBay every day of the year, and it is a fabulous market place, with real bargains to be had. Recently I bought a piece of pottery for £300 that is worth a minimum of £10,000. So what if one falls for the odd forgery ... it is always a gamble buying from photographs, but it cuts both ways!

Viva eBay!
Viva Facebook too, which brought me my 'significant other' from the other side of the world!

We live in a most interesting world today, stuffed full of amazing possibilities previously undreamed of!

Wow, that computer was only at $5,000 when I linked to it, and it sold for $31,100!! (yikes)

Yes, people have been making fakes or replicas forever.

I watch Pawn Stars, which is sort of an Antiques Roadshow for people who are down and out in Vegas. They frequently have someone bring in some item which is clearly very old, and maybe has been in the family forever, but turns out to be a "replica" such as a 19th century replica of a 17th century sword.

Yeah, look at George Bush...Clearly a fake!
I'd rather have a bottle in front of me, than a frontal lobotomy.

A very poor imitation of his father I would say. ;)

Not worth a bid, imo!
