"Goddammit, people," Hadrian muttered to no one in particular. "How much longer are you idiots going to take?"

From his position near the castle gate, he glanced up at the sky. It was nearing the time they had planned to leave, and he remained the only one there. He had, however, sent a servant to search for the rest of the Order, with orders to get others doing the same, so with any luck they wouldn't be much longer...

Elle walked up behind Hadrian without any of the others. She would need to do something about them later. It was too early in the day for her to be getting a headache, yet they insisted.

She pulled out a cigarette and waved her hand in front of it, lighting it, then said a single word: "None," referring to the number of members of the Order she managed to find, then placed the cigarette in her mouth.

"No luck, eh?," he responded, without turning around. "Damn. Elusive bastards..."

Elle simply nodded by way of reply. She looked up at the sun for a moment, then, "Suggestion. They'll catch up."

Hadrian took another look up. "If they're not here in a few more minutes, I think we'll do that," he said with a nod of his own.

Elle had nothing she needed to say to that, so she didn't, merely continuing to smoke in silence.

Yuki

There was a shimmering distortion from down the road, from which a horse walked. Yuki was astride it, looking slightly dizzy. She looked around, then directed the horse towards Hadrian and Elle.

"...Hello." she said, before dismounting, ruffling through the pack on the back of the horse, and sitting down against the wall with book in hand.

Elle looked at Yuki, then at the sun, then back at Yuki.

"Late," she said laconically.

Hadrian looked up as well. "Two. Meh, good enough. Get back on the horse, Yuki," he said, walking towards the gate. "Time to get going."

"..."

Without a word, Yuki replaced the book in her saddlebags. She then pulled herself onto the horse, took hold of the reigns, and directed the horse to follow Hadrian.

Elle after Hadrian, possibly even more quiet than Yuki.

From behind the group came a loud male voice yelling, “Wait!”

Jake came into sight about five seconds afterwards, and he immediately said, “Sorry I’m late. I was busy.” He managed to catch up with Elle and said, “Well, we’re only starting and people are already slow. Where exactly is the rest of the Order anyways? I’m itching to burn something. Sometimes can’t do that if there’s no one to guard my back.”

"They're lagging behind like you," Hadrian answered, without stopping or turning.

"Ouch," Jake complained. He sped up his pace and added, "Well, I was busy. Some random person was trying to kill me while screaming and waving a sword around. He had more hit points than I expected. Annoying of him, being that way. I don't like being accosted by random mooks."

Elle simply glared at Jake from under her darkened glasses, without breaking stride.
