Sorry it took so long. This map was hard to build. But here it is


Prison Island


This isn't a UGMF sequel, but you could call it a spin-off to the series. This map is, however, inspired from a stage, from the game, "Shadow the Hedgehog". Basically, it's set in a prison with the green liquid being the mines. All modes work well besides the obvious ones, Story and Assault..


NOTE: For Deathmatch-based modes, PLEASE set the Kill method to "Kills" instead of "Kills-Losses/Suicides, otherwise they will be too easy because bots may often die alot and lose points.

Vampire actually works well. Do give this a try as well as Gladiator. Zones, Bagtag, and CTB are all here.

Default Color of this map should be the 3rd grey from the right. More lightning info are in the Notes section.

Other weapons that are not in the weapon set are:

Shotgun(if you feel that the Tactical 12 Gauge is cheap)
Harpoon Gun
Vintage Rifle
Grenades
Kruger mm8
Machine Gun

Those weapons can be used to replace some of them or all of them.

I hope this map is worth making.

I may add more here if I need. I hope I didn't forget anything.

Whoops, I messed up on a part of the map. It's not much of a deal, it's on the third floor, but it won't affect the map. Stackables are hard.

I just made it and played it on mapmaker prevew. I wont comment on it yet because it might affect the judging. One thing I am going to ask is why didn't you make the tile #31 in the southwest part of the map near the large ramp a tile #12 instead. It would have given the map a more "outside" look.

I'm amazed. I almost forgot to write this because I was too busy playing it. But here it is!

GAMEPLAY: 10/10!

The gameplay is phenomenal. Everything works out great. Dark level and dark sky makes you feel like you really are in a prison island. The weapons suit the level very nicely, I didn't even have tu use the replacement weapons. This level is amazing.


LEVEL LAYOUT: 10/10!

The best part of this level is it's innovative design. The level is huge but definately not boring. There is plenty of ways to kill opponents. There are tight corridors, and large open areas with vantage points. The level design is near perfect.
ITEM PLACEMENT: 9/10

Not much to say here, most of the weapons are placed in good spots. Nice selection of weapons and not too much of them everywhere.
MODES: 10/10!

All the modes work out great! Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch are very fun! All the other modes work out very good also. Elimination, Zones, BagTag, etc, require you too run around thelevel quickly which is very fun!
EXTRAS: 10/10!

The coolest effect is, the deathpits are colored green. This makes the level an eerie look to it. Nothing else here.

OVERALL: 10/10!

Build this level NAO!!!! I never liked building Arcade maps, but this level made me think twice. I'm stunned by it's professional layout. It almost makes me think someone straight out of Free Radical built this.

should I use a sky glitch behind the windows on the right?

huge level? it seems pretty small on the plan (but ok)

you know, It's not that hard to make better maps that the ones free radical built for tsfp B)

Hey, I think I'm going to make this and the other one ,but the Half-Splitters series was another example of maps that look better than anything Free Radical did. Good map, Knuckles.
