This map is great but you can't see it if you open the map you must MAKE IT TO SEE HOW GOOD IT IS so don't come with some crappy words i don't think the map is good because...... you know what i mean :P but just make it the map is bigger than you think AND DON'T FORGET THE FENCE OF WINDOWS WHEN YOU ARE GOING TO MAKE IT K??? Looks better then some of your other maps. I like how you handled the "snipe tower", everyone has been dieing to make one that works, and this simple idea might very well do the trick. Pretty good work :good:

*edit*

Since the snipe tower is supposed to look like a lighthouse(nice idea btw), why don't you colour the sides of it red + white(just regular lightning), as in the standard lighthouse pattern? It might help convey the point that it's a lighthouse.

well, it looks kinda simple on the plan, and I can see it because I'm so good.
and I felt you were begging for that kind of feedback.

the tower reminds me of my map "area 51"

I agree, the view is quite pretty, however that window fence is kind of ugly imo. I mean it's not a bad idea, It just looks kinda odd in a cityish/fortressy stage , and seems to more obstruct the view from the sniping tower. I thought of adding windows to that lighthouse on top and maybe putting the lighting as yellow in there...i'll experiment later. Seriously though, that wall of windows blocks the potential for most of the sniping spots...

Otherwise, it's pretty fun. I've only played with bots and those pesky guys snipe me from halfway across the map 4 floors up with a pistol....sniping is really hard here, so it seems to lean towards a run and gun style of play. And since the sniping spots seem nerfed (all except one, but one of the 30 spawns is near it, so you can't snipe for very long). It's actually pretty fun despite the little gripes i have and is indeed a pretty stage. (I toned down the blue to a lighter shade, it looked too...blue)

Then again, i have odd tastes when it comes to maps, as i don't seem to like the same maps that everyone else seems to drool over, so i'd wait to see what other people say.

I played it, it's really a simple map, I would say it's really the minimum for a dm map.
it doesn't look very great, and I tried a lighthouse effect with your color scheme, but I did it quickly, it looked crappy lol.
the fence doesn't look very good indeed
I played it in the military tileset, don't know if it is the right one.
the placement of the tower is pretty bad imo
and I had to stop at 50 frags, cause I only had a pixel of life remaining, and didn't want to die.
in overall it's a pretty poor map, a beginner map, with a few good ideas in it, but not very well done.
at least it gave me an idea of map

I was the one who used the tower idea first, though. :P It was on Ruby.

It was not very useful for sniping, however... :/

But you asked for an opinion...anyway, I think someone disliking your work only helps me to strive harder next time. How do you think i learned to draw so good? Because i settled with complacency and kept my old crappy techniques? I listened to the critisms and worked harder. There is a quote by someone that in effect, goes something like this: If you can find something bad to say about something, then in actuality you love it. I mean, if it sucked, we'd not find a singular thing or two, we'd just flat out say...it sucked. We like it, it could just use some major improvements. ;)

yeah i know what you mean but i have in total 263 maps really i have a very big memory card for the cube but all those maps are my own ideas I REALLY DON'T HAVE IDEAS ANYMORE so i am considering if i am going to stop making maps i really really don't know nothing anymore :( :/ so i could work harder but it is difficult if you have no idea for a map :ph43r: :(

If your having trouble coming up with ideas, either a)look for inspiration (media, other maps, etc) or b)take a break from playing (yes, I went there :lunatic: )
