I never really got into the whole map pack business way back when it was started by Popcorn. Mostly because I would pretty much post maps as soon as I was finished with them, but that's beside the point. This is my first, and I may make more depending on the response this gets, which I doubt will even be satisfactory based on the total number of people who actually still play this, haha...

Before you even get started on the downloading, however, I have provided descriptions and screenshots of the levels so you can get a feel for what they will be like:

Atlantis

Based underwater, great middle to long range combat, and a ruinous feel are what comprise this map. My logic behind the weapon setting is that plasma can fire underwater. Kypriss and the Stone Golems are Atlanteans.

Cranial Stem

A map based inside an android's mind as he battles off his computer counterpart's attempts to take it over. Great close-range combat and effective weapons make this a frantic one. Plus, one of the only maps I know of to actually use the monkey gun (limit one)!

Judgment Day

This is an apocalyptic fire-based free for all map that will sure warm you up! Puns aside, this one is fiery fun (damnit) based around short to medium range combat. Explosive and frantic! I have also thoughtfully included an alternate weapon set for those of you less fire-inclined.

Dio De Los Muertos Aldea

Or Day of the Dead Village, as translated by freetranslation.com, is a golden village with a green sewer system beneath and narrow alleys and buildings galore to explore.

Atlantis (Redux)

Like every great musical artist, I have included a remix of one of my maps in this pack. Coincidentally, the original ALSO happens to be here. How pretentious of me! A different layout with some similar recognizable features will hopefully help you choose which one you like better.

And that's it! Let me know if you have any questions concerning this. Have fun!

EDIT: all maps easily viewable now--admiralhowdy

Wow, judging from the pictures, these maps look great, and with original ideas too. Really, each looks good enough to be released seperately, which is something you won't get that often with map packs. Good job!

Try just opening it and then extracting when it opens in winRar.

Erm... no. Dusk is too much light, it's the apocalypse you know. Actually it looks very good with the lightning he chose. I like it, looks as if the ozon layer has burned up or something xD

maybe but it is set on earth, and you can't see those 2 red planets from the earth.

abstract could work too, probably with a different lightsetting. it has that red part which would look pretty kick ass in a post apocalyptic map.

What alternative (gamecube) music would you suggest for Atlantis?

It's the apocalypse. Since no one knows what it looks like, I think I'm allowed a little creative license. Plus, for all we know, Earth could be ended by two planets colliding into it. Abstract is much too dark, the lack of anything suggests nothing but a black void.

As for the music, Sluggie, hmmm... Tis a toughie. I'd go with "You Take The High Road" or "Temple" for a quick guess.

I quickly tried them all in dm.

atlantis : I like it, maybe there could be more variations in the lightsetting. I like the spot with the cloak.

atlantis redux : I like it too but less than the 1st one. at least the dispersion gun is easier to find and to use.

judgement day : this map is a ****ing nightmare lol. bots start with the cheapest weapon and they are immune against it. I think the layout could be better and the lightsetting is weird, but for some reason it's fun, probably because it's so damn hard to survive.

cranial stem : this one is pretty cool, but looks slightly bland. it can either be very quiet or very frantic but it's fun overall.

die de los muertos aldea : it's my favorite, the layout is pretty good (despite some useless spots imo), it's not original at all but it's cool.
I found the 8th yellow too dark, and put the 7th yellow instead, it was slightly decent. also I'm not sure the sewer part is very useful, but it is confusing.
