It seems like it should be possible. I've never tried it though.

When I get my Wii back, I'll try to see if I can figure out a way to do it. What system do you own the game on?

It is not possible. The closest you can come is building an Assault mode map with a "story" to it. You can't do co-op in custom maps played in Story mode.

Yeah, sadly it's not possible.
F*** :cursing: Free Radical for not making a halfway decent mapmaker! :grr: :grr: :grr:
-----------> :stupid:
If only I could work on the TS4 mapmaker... :devious:

Here's what I'd add:

Co-op story maps
Better AI (Much needed)
The ability to make AI on fire and not take damage from fire
The ability to give AI personalities (Like making robots behave as zombies and vice versa)
Cut-Scenes
The ability to CHOOSE what characters are available to play as in story maps
Enemies from other games like the Flood (From Halo) ,dinosaurs (Jurrasic Park or Turok) or :yoda:
The ability to make decent and challenging bosses
Better traps
Buildings and terrain that slowly damages you
AI with snipers use their snipers effectively
The ability to make AI faster and be able to jump
Players able to jump
More vehicles including some with weapons
Enemy controlled vehicles and gun turrets(Not auto turrets)
The ability to make AI on your side or on no side (Hostile to all) as well as enemies
MORE MEMORY!!! :grr: :grr: :grr:
And plenty more that I can't remember right now

Ha ha! I think I'm beginning to dislike you Slagar. Already.

TS mapmaker is excellent, and surpasses any mapmaker on the consoles easily.

Before you rampage as a wild flaming bizon made of idiot and fail into your future game design carreer, notice there's a thing called TECHNICAL LIMITATIONS. It's very important. Yes it's cool if the mapmaker could shoot lasers, has every enemy from every game ever made on screen at the same time(LOL RIGHTS), all behaving independantly as a zombie while they're machines(wtf?) and whatever obvious thing that Free Radical would've added if they could, but some of the stuff IS JUST PLAIN IMPOSSIBLE TO THIS POINT. I love how most of the mapmaker noobs always come in and whine for a better mapmaker whenever a new one is released.

The new consoles give more possibilities for the mapmaker, so some of that stuff will probably be added.

Here's what I'd add:

Co-op story maps yeah
Better AI (Much needed) nothing to do with the mapmaker
The ability to make AI on fire and not take damage from fire not necessary, but why not
The ability to give AI personalities (Like making robots behave as zombies and vice versa) yeah, but rather to choose between sniper and berserker for example
Cut-Scenes lol
The ability to CHOOSE what characters are available to play as in story maps yeah
Enemies from other games like the Flood (From Halo) ,dinosaurs (Jurrasic Park or Turok) or :yoda: of course
The ability to make decent and challenging bosses some of us could beat you with a mapmaker made boss
Better traps depends what you call better
Buildings and terrain that slowly damages you yeah
AI with snipers use their snipers effectively they know how to use the scope (it's the only thing they know btw)
The ability to make AI faster and be able to jump ???
Players able to jump were we talking about the mapmaker?
More vehicles including some with weapons not necessary but why not
Enemy controlled vehicles and gun turrets(Not auto turrets) bots use turrets in story mode
The ability to make AI on your side or on no side (Hostile to all) as well as enemies of course
MORE MEMORY!!! :grr: :grr: :grr: we have enough for a multiplayer map

Laser firing map makers!!?? Sign me up! ;)

I think there will be lots of spoof characters that look like characters from other popular games in this new time splitters... That guess is based entirely off the interviews I have read and the teaser trailer to the game.

I'm not saying the TS mapmaker is complete crap (excuse my "half way decent" expression :whoops: ).
But I am mad that the mapmaker is missing many features included in the developer made story. Cut Scenes wouldn't be that hard to add if they recycled them from the developer's story.

Also, note how you called me a mapmaker noob. Just to let you know, I've been discovering secrets of the mapmaker since about 8 years old.
In addition, I've modded many games in the past, as well as experianced many other mapmakers/world builders. Though this may not be of much signifignance, it's all I have to offer online. :nerd:

I'm not saying EVERY enemy, rather a handful. Copyrights would stand in the way, but what about the TS4 teaser, with the Master Chimp? Correct me if I'm wrong, but since SEVERAL sites have said that it may be a character included in TS4, wouldn't they need Microsoft's/Bungie's permission first?

Also dinosaurs are not copyrighted. DUH! ^o)

TECHNICAL LIMITATIONS can be overcome to some extent. I doubt that TSFP uses the ENTIRE disc space, so a few new features wouldn't hurt.

TS mapmaker DOES surpass any other mapmaker on consoles, as of yet of course. :good: point.

Also, have you ever thought that I'm just throwing ideas out there?!? Come on, you act like I am so stupid that I can't see what's good about the mapmaker. :right...: Maybe you should see how it can improve. :hammer:

MORE MEMORY!!! :grr: :grr: :grr: we have enough for a multiplayer map
I mean turrets that are automatically (ooohhh...I know I mispelled that one :whoops: ) used by enemies and on multiplayer.

LOL Not enough for me! :devious:

I'm not saying you're bad at mapmaking(I wouldn't know, you didn't post anything yet), but I just got ticked for all these people having their "brilliant ideas" while not having made a single decent map theirselves. There's a memory limit for the reason that having no memory limit would cause that huge map that no one could resist to making lag to death and make the game console explode. People always want more. I kind of believe in making something good with the limitations at hand, THEN ask for more, though. People had to work with the NES back in the day, too. I do appreciate ideas, I do realise it could be improved upon(there's been a new mapmaker ideas topic for a long time now, I think). I was kind of pissed off at the time, hence the biting "dislike" comment. And no, you really shouldn't care :P

That said, I don't think there's anything that's particulary wrong with the TS mapmaker. The two things that are highest on my wishlist for TS4 is the ability to mix tilesets and the ability to "control" the story AI, or just plain better story AI(with editable I mean to choose routes they can take during combat, and the ability to make "cover points", with the ability to make the AI run for cover, you can actually make them do advanced techniques such as flanking just by cleverly placing these cover points and good level design). And yes, the story AI in this game kind of sucks(I can understand the zombies being dumb, but regular humans...). Really, it's kinda sad, since they do cool stuff like jump out of the way for explosions, but they're so slow that they'll get hit anyway. I'd be satisfied with Halo 1 level of intelligence, really. It'd be a lot easier to make fun story maps, and not the "dumb grey hallway, dumb enemy that's shot in the head and gets killed, rinse and repeat 10x" structure of some of the story maps you find on youtube...

There could be a trigger that affects your health status. That way you could make your areas that damage you, and much more. It'd be easier to set up "better" traps, for example gas.

I'm not sure on this, but I think there's only a copyright issue if the copyrighted thing looks EXACTLY like new one, not if it's a parody. So an exact flood conversion like you suggested would make bungie go all HEY WIAT DHATS UOR FLOOOD. It would likely be possible with the new consoles to have various "types" of AI, such as those "walking bomb" guys from the flood. And there could be a character that parodies the flood(oh wait, hi Freak). But I don't know the problem here, I'm fairly satisfied with the difference in behaviour from the Zombie, Machine, and Human type of characters.

You can already make challenging(even almost impossible) bosses with the current mapmaker. You just have to make clever use of logic.

Oh, and yes, co-op story would be awesome and should be possible, but it's hard to make a mapmaker tool as great an detailed, while as simple and easy to use already, so I can forgive Free Radical for not including this. It's an obvious next step though.

All good.

I can understand what you mean by getting ticked off, I've run into plenty of spammers as well. I was mad in my post about how the mapmaker could be improved, then your post set me off again. :whoops:

As for mixing tilesets (not that I know if it's legal or not 'cause I don't know my laws to well), you can hack into the disc and mix tilesets somehow. In TS2, some people hacked the disc and brought back the canceled Gothic Tileset.

Point is, everything is fine now. :good:

P.S. By Flood I meant fast and being able to jump, like in Halo. I also meant Infecters, Carriers(walking bomb guys you mentioned), and whatever other sick things they have in store. :X :sick2:

P.S.S. Since I AM a noob at this site still, do you how I could see other people's maps as well as post my own? Thanks.
