There is a way to stack them so it won't block bullets and grenades. someone knows how it works?
I created a new map and it worked, but when I load an old map, it doesn't work.

It depends on the music you choose.

No really, I don't know but my first guess would be mixing 28s and 27s vs. not mixing, or mixing rotations, or a combination of both might be why it either happens or doesn't happen.

I created a new map, put 28s on top of each other but with different rotations. it didn't block bullets or grenades, but it prevented the car from falling. when I deleted everything and put 28s on top of each other without rotating them, it worked the same. then, I load sanatorium, and whether tiles have different rotations or not, bullets and grenades hit the invisible floor.

something with saving the map maybe?

I noticed it on this map too http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IPUl1glHFQg

at 1:42, he can shoot the guy, despite the stacked tiles 28.

This may sound crazy but it also might have something to do with exactly where the tiles are on the grid. I only say this because of the Gamecube assault compass, and how getting it to appear is dependent upon tiles being in a certain defined area of the grid. So maybe there are areas of the grid where the 28's do and don't stack right.

I think Admiral may be right.
Although I haven't checked, I know on several of my maps i have had this issue, on one map it was fine and on 2 others it wasn't. the two that didnt work had the stacked 28s in the middle of the map, give 1 or 2 squares.
I'll have to confirm that first though.

I tried putting 28s on different spots, didn't try all the grid, but I couldn't make the glitch even once. I also tried to save and load the map and still no glitch. maybe it's linked to memory?

Could this be a difference between PAL and NTSC copies of the game?

I don't think do, if the same user sometimes experiences it and sometimes doesn't.

Should I make a different thread for this? It's kinda related... Is there a specific way to stack tiles 28 in the military theme to prevent the car from falling?

ok, it depends either on tiles used before you put your tiles 28, or on memory.

ok, here it is : the trick is simply that the very first tile you have to put in your map, must be a tile 28, otherwise the glitch will happen.

Yes! That's probably why, when I made Steaming Rumbles, the car just fell into the death tiles.

Now I wonder if you placed the tile 28's in a different order in other tilesets if the glitch could happen.

Weird, the only difference I've had is having gunshots go through or not, objects (car, barrels etc.) always 'floated' on the surface no matter what.

huh... and it doesn't matter if they're rotated a certain way or not or in the order they're placed other than what Fauch just discovered?
