"...Good, thank you for your cooperation." The security guard only nodded his head and took the stairs heading down... --- The students found themselves on a long hall brightly lit with white fluorescent lights shining down. Multiple tinted glass doors stretched out from the side, either flashing a red 'OCCUPIED' or a green 'OPEN' through its digital sign installed beside the door. "This way." The security guard waved his card again by the sign, causing the door to automatically slide to the side and change the sign to the red 'OCCUPIED'. Inside the room revealed four beds placed against the walls with one more bed placed at the dead center. The security guard carefully placed Monday on the center bed and brought down a thin monitor against her head, pressing a button on the side to activate the light sequence. "...This is where it gets tricky" said the man as he began to close the curtain around Monday's bed. "Take one of the beds, or Spelunkers as you can call it, and bring down the monitor beside it up to your head. After that, you press this big button on the side to activate the light sequence...Don't worry, it's just flashing lights, not some crazy machine that sticks needles behind your head." He chuckled, but almost slapped himself for cracking a joke at the most inappropriate time. "And...You fall asleep. It's that simple." Even though the security guard tried his best to explain to the students, he knew few of them would be too confused, scared, or even a bit of both. Approaching one of the drawers next to one of the beds, he pulled out a single pill and showed it to the students. "This is a mild, non-lethal anesthetic pill. You can take it if you need help falling asleep...But of course, I'm not going to force it to you guys." He began setting up three more spelunkers for the brave students and gave out a simple thumbs up as soon as he finished. "Okay...Good luck." Edited by Goroke, Aug 7 2010, 11:27 PM.

Thrust practically headfirst into the whole "psyche diving" thing, Aaron entered the room with a mix of excitement and nervousness on his face. He tried to suppress the excitement, since that would probably make his less willing team members think he was weird if he hadn't achieved that already. Not to mention it would make them even less willing, probably. He examined the beds and the monitors, wondering how the machine worked. The guard who'd taken them there filled them in on how to get the things started, at least. "Here goes nothing," Aaron said with a neutral look before laying a hand on the bed and hoisting himself up and onto his back. It was strangely anticlimactic, since nothing had happened yet. "And now, uh..." Aaron did as the man had instructed and activated the machine, which began to produce odd lights. Lying down on the bed and ignoring all of the apparent comfort features--the blankets, the curtain, the... slightly disturbing restraints--, Aaron closed his eyes and tried to relax. Considering the situation this was a little hard, but thankfully whatever extra energy he'd gained from his Velvet Room experience had apparently worn out, and Aaron fell asleep fairly quickly. |

Seeing Unnamed Boy 1 go in first made Lily feel a little better about the whole situation. Well, it was still the most terrifying day of her life, but for that exact reason she was willing to take any positive notes. Still ultimately a nervous wreck, though, Lily had to peek into the Spelunker room as Unnamed Boy 1 got himself set up just to make sure there wasn't something deadly involved. After watching him fall asleep without too much trouble, Lily awkwardly shuffled her way into the room. She glanced at the guard as he explained the process, but shook her head at the offer of an anesthetic. "Um... No thanks... I'll manage." Lily answered, somewhat perturbed by the school employee offering her a drug, albeit non-prescription. She then crawled onto one of the empty beds, and as she tried to lie down her arm brushed up against one of the restraining belts, causing a severe flinch as she almost leaped right back out of the bed. Good lord, this was sooo creepy. Okay, relax Lily, relax! Just close your eyes and pretend this is a normal bed... Please? thought Lily, though she only proved to reinforce her own nervousness by pleading with herself. Making sure to keep as far away from the restraints as possible, Lily laced her fingers together before laying her hands on top of her skirt, then closed her eyes. Of course, Lily being Lily, this was when her mind started racing. Oh gosh... What if Monica's having a really bad nightmare? Won't that be really dangerous? How am I even supposed to use a Persona? Maybe the other two will show me how... But wait, they haven't even told me their names yet... Do they not like me...? Well, the other girl did tell me to shut up earlier... Oh no! My mind's racing too much! I can't fall asleep! The security guard probably thinks I'm weird... It was very obvious to all watching that Lily wasn't asleep, as for how much her inner thoughts were bouncing off walls, she was just as much fidgeting on the bed. Foot twitching, fingers twirling around each other, shoulders shifting... Argh! Come on Lily, you used to be better than this! You can at least fall asleep, right? Just pretend you're somewhere else... Yeah, that'll work! I'm not here... There's no machine hovering over me... There's no creepy restraints next to me... I'm in my own bed... I'm back... home... I'm... Mm... Well, that worked nicely. Onward to Monica's Psyche. |

Kyra gave a heavy sigh as they were led to the spelunkers. So much for a bad joke, hm? It didn't help that, despite the whole thing being serious, the 'light sequence' thing the man mentioned was sounding more and more like the equally ridiculous mind ray she had thought of when pressed to think of some reason why they were all remembering the same dream, and so clearly at that. As she climbed onto the bed and pulled the mind ray screen thing down, she took one last note of the threads, looking surprisingly normal compared to her experience with the room. She wondered whether or not this was a good thing, and ultimately couldn't decide on either. And...damn it all, that's the screamer fidgeting around in the next bed, isn't it. Someone knock her out... Very soon after that thought, Kyra decided that knocking herself out would be faster and easier, and accepted the anesthetic pill. After taking it and shooing the man back out, she lied down again, returned the mind ray screen thing to its former position next to her head, and pressed the button the man had indicated. Even if it somehow didn't work, in a few seconds she wouldn't have to hear the screamer jerking around in a few seconds, right? Right? Once the light sequence began and she began to drift off, something dawned on her. I'm...still hiding that dagger on me, aren't I? The feeling in her body was starting to fade, but one arm reaching around was enough to confirm that it was still wrapped tightly and hidden under her clothes. That man better not search me or anything while I'm out. Damn it all... |

Immediately sitting up upon waking, Aaron's head darted around as he confirmed he was safe. Once he saw the others laying on their respective beds, Aaron relaxed and shifted into a sitting position on the side of the bed. "Well, that was... kind of fun, actually." He was glad the others weren't up to hear him say that. "I wonder what happened to those things I picked up," Aaron muttered, checking his jacket pocket. A quick check revealed that both the gem and the bead were there, along with the money he'd slid into his jeans pocket. The Magician card came out along with the money, causing Aaron to take a second to gaze at it. After making sure everything he had on him was safe and sound, Aaron eased himself off the bed and stretched. "How long were we out...?" Figuring that he'd find that out soon enough, Aaron stepped away from the bed and stood near the door to wait for the others to wake up. |

Unlike Aaron, Lily was slow to rise as to keep with the fact that she was not a morning person. Perhaps it wasn't morning anymore, as Lily had no idea how long they had been prancing around another student's mind, but the fact that she was just waking up made it feel like morning. Again. And she didn't like it. "Mmr..." groaned Lily with her face buried in the pillow, despite not having fallen asleep that way. One eye cracked open and registered the pure white of the pillow, which made Lily flop over to make sure she had actually woken up instead of gotten stuck in some crazy white half-dimension between here and Monday's Psyche. Finally, she opened both eyes fully, sat up, and blessed the Gods for getting her out of that crazy situation in one piece. "Oh... Hello Aaron." said Lily, having only just noticed that he was already awake. One strand of hair had escaped from her bun during the rest, so compulsively Lily twirled it around her finger and began twisting it as she talked. "I hope Kyra and Monday wake up soon too..." |

Kyra's consciousness faded in and out as she returned to the real world. The first thing she registered was the sensation of something pressed into her back. She reached down, fumbling, to find that the dagger she had hidden had somehow slipped down and ended up halfway under her, with the hilt currently making a nice impression in her back. Sighing, she rolled slightly so as to be able to pull it out, then slowly sat up. Or rather, she tried to sit up and immediately hit her head on the mind ray screen...or whatever it was actually supposed to be. She rolled her eyes and pushed it rather forcefully out of the way. Sitting up again and this time not hitting anything, she looked around, silently acknowledging the question boy and the screamer. As she did the threads, still ever-present but easily ignorable in the daydreamer's head, came back into focus, cutting apart her perception of the world. Immediately she wanted to go right back to sleep, a thought her body was agreeing with. Unconscious or no, that experience had been far from restful. |

As her visions began to clear up, the first thing Monday saw was the strange contraption looming over her head. ...Is this another dream? She thought to herself as she simply pushed it to the side. Her eyes immediately squinted as the white light beamed down on her and she soon began to realize that she was on a white bed. This isn't the bed in the dorms... -- The door to the room opened by itself as the security guard from before entered the room with a smile on his face. "Good. You guys made it through." Giving a friendly pat on the back on Aaron while giving the thumbs up to the other two girls, he walked towards the center bed where Monday was still laying down. He took up her arm and placed his fingers on her wrist, checking her pulse and all the standard procedure. With a even bigger smile, he nodded his head to himself and let out a pleased sigh to himself. "She's going to be fine...Let's give her some time to rest" -- Monday wasn't sure who this man was or why he was checking her wrist and everything, but she didn't have any energy to even lift a finger. The last thing she remembered was the nightmare she had about the prince...and a fuzzy recollection of Kyra, Aaron, and Lily fighting the said prince(s)? Even her wildest dreams couldn't think of anything like that. Before she could really think too much into it, Monday began to felt dizzy once more and simply decided to sleep on it. |

"Hey," Aaron responded to Lily's greeting. When she mentioned Kyra and Monday, Aaron glanced at the latter lying in the center. "Shouldn't be long before they-" He was cut off by a low banging sound followed by Kyra sitting up. "There's one," he said with a smile. "Welcome back." As the security guard walked in and congratulated everyone, Aaron acknowledged the man with a friendly nod. He watched as the man checked Monday and declared her to be fine. Aaron thought he noticed the girl wake up, but if she did, it had only been for a few seconds. He turned back towards Lily and Kyra. "Well, that was quite the adventure," Aaron laughed with a hint of sarcasm in case the others weren't of the same opinion. "It got a little close at the end, but it turned out all right. Those horses were brutal." Recalling the memory prompted Aaron to subconsciously grasp his previously injured arm. "And Monday's fine now, so I guess we can call that... mission, for lack of a better word, a success," Aaron concluded. "Come to think of it, how long has it been since we fell asleep?" he asked, scanning the room for some indication of the time. |

"I don't like adventures, then..." muttered Lily under her breath as she watched the security guard check up on Monday. As she got up off the bed and patted some wrinkles out of her skirts, Lily looked around the room, searching for a clock to answer Aaron's question. Her search proved fruitless, and she didn't have a watch on, so Lily just stood there in silence with nothing to say. *rrrrrrrr* It wasn't super loud, but it was audible, and it was Lily's stomach rumbling. Oh god, so embarassing... thought Lily as her face flushed a rosy red. "I... I guess it's meal time?" Lily managed to whisper that much meekly, but kept out of eye contact with everyone. All this crazy stuff happened just after she woke up, so Lily never got her breakfast. It could've very well been lunchtime by that point, but she'd have to find that out at the cafeteria. "So, uh... Bye, everyone. Hopefully we'll see each other again soon." said Lily with a curtsy of her skirt before leaving the room to drown her embarrassment in whatever was on the cafeteria menu today. |

"Alright, later," Aaron said to Lily as she walked out. Still don't know what time it is, he thought. And... when was the last time I ate something? He couldn't remember. "Maybe food would be a good idea," he mumbled to himself. "I probably need my actual uniform, too." Aaron glanced at Kyra and Monday again. Kyra probably wasn't too keen on starting a conversation and Monday was asleep, so Aaron decided to head back to his room for a while. "I guess I'm going to head out too," he said to Kyra. "Even if you didn't like getting roped into this, thanks for the help." With that, Aaron adjusted his jacket and walked out of the room. I should go dig out my headphones, too, he reminded himself as he left. |

*Blink blink* Monday awoke from her slumber once again, but this time it was different. Finding herself inside her dormitory room, safely tucked into her bed, the girl looked around to confirm that it was her room. "...Huh." Last thing she remembered was the unfamiliar room with the strange contraption hanging above her head. "How long have I been asleep..." Putting her self up off the bed, she scratched her messy hair with her nail and began walking out the door with a lazy eye. "I'm hungry..." |
