Tyr stepped off of the ring platform, his face frowning as he studied the devastation firsthand. That reckless fool had hit mostly civilian infrastructure, leaving most of the hardened military bunkers intact. But that didn't make rebuilding any easier. Tents were set up on the outskirts of the town along the small river that snaked its way through the valley. Were it not for the smell of death and destruction, it would almost be idyllic to live here. The Egyptian architecture seemed out of place among such lush vegetation. Its limestone was scorched and scarred, but white still shone through to reflect the warmth from the sun. He walked towards a group of Pelekyphoroi who were struggling to pull a woman trapped underneath a house. They had torn off most of their armor, its heavy weight preventing them from exerting the proper strength required for the job. A few were using their axes to prop up various pillars they had managed to pull up somewhat; one was slowly kicking his helmet into a crack to widen it so that the others could lift the bulky section upright. Finally, enough space was created so the men could pull the frantic woman from her almost-tomb. She sobbed as she emerged, clutching her frightened brood with such strength that Tyr figured none could break such a grasp. The Lord Marshal continued down to the embankment, where the docks were being rebuilt. Food could be transported from the fleet, but that was a severely limited supply; the fish in the flowing waters was their best bet for immediate survival. Land creatures were still struggling to return to prominence in this section of the world following the cataclysm that accompanied the taking of the planet. An entire new set of mountain chains had sprung up, and what used to be a mighty desert was now underwater. He looked to the distance as several scout vessels flew towards the heavens to deploy navigation satellites. Perhaps this rebuilding was not going to be so bad. As long as Lord Atlas did not gain the itch to attack once more, this world could truly be reborn. He stripped off his heavy armor and began to help the rebuilding of the docks personally. |

The center of the city was quickly cleared of rubble, showing a surprising amount of intact buildings. They would, of course, have to be individually inspected to ensure that they were structurally sound, but perhaps it was a good sign. The docks were already bringing in fish, and while the smell was not entirely welcome, the food was. Intent on continuing civilian oversight of the military, Tyr had linked all military comms and sensors to the capital building. It was a crude job that required the cannibalizing of a Camaxtli command bridge, but it would do for now. His team of technicians had just completed the array when a light blinked on the console before Tyr. He pressed the button and the viewscreen across the room lit up. "Lord Marshal, we have an incoming encoded message from Lord Ares," the man on the other side said. "Send it here for decoding," Tyr replied. The data burst was quickly streamed to the command center and uploaded for viewing. The Lord Marshal stood with a stone face as he witnessed the carnage in the message. White static filled the screen for minutes after the message ended, not a soul in the room speaking or moving. "Everyone leave this room." The group scattered like a flock of birds from the room. The Lord Marshal gathered his thoughts and keyed in another set of commands. His quantum cube began to spin rapidly as it interacted with its sister particle thousands of light-years away. Almost two full minutes passed before the line on the other end picked up. He could see the Administrator and several other Senators in conference in Kinich's main meeting room. "Greetings, Lord Marshal," Kinich spoke simply. "What news do you have for us?" "We...things have not gone as planned." "Oh?" Belias replied. Tyr nodded and played the message for the group. Again, none spoke for many moments, only broken by Belias himself. "So...Zeus was as much of a bastard as our Revered Queen said he was..." "So it would seem," Kinich said. "I assume this means Atlas has a renewed purpose to eradicate us? Or would this shift his view to Lord Ares?" a lone Senator asked. Tyr shook his head. "At this point, it matters not. Until we can upgrade the gate network to allow our forces to return, we are vulnerable. Right now, we cannot dictate where any battle will be held. We can only wait and see...but I will be giving orders to allow this system to evacuate within minutes should Atlas' forces arrive." "Lord Marshal, I wish for you to send Lord Ares a message," Kinich said. "Tell him that when he returns to his forces, I wish to speak with him." "Very well, Administrator," Tyr said, and then broke off the comm line. Kinich immediately ended the meeting. All left the room save Belias. The elderly man stood by the door, sorrow spread across his face. "Is there something else on your mind, Belias?" Kinich asked. The man took a few steps forward, closing the door. The shadow from the planet cut diagonally across the red-skinned man, showing all the scars and marks from a long life. "In the records, the blood rage of the Four is clearly detailed. Heightened aggression, lack of concern for others...perfect for one in the midst of combat and surrounded by enemies. But they were taught to control it, reducing its effects. Their Queen was very careful with them, ensuring that they would not lose control." "I am well aware of how the Scarlet Lord has gained his name," Kinich said. "Is there a point to this?" Belias smirked at his friend's impatience after his political gambit failed. "Not really...I just think I understand our Lord Ares now. Seeing him lose control like that...I think I finally trust him." Kinich smiled. "Good. Because all hell might break loose soon enough, and I can't have you two arguing like children." Belias chuckled and opened the door. As he passed through the space he replied: "Never said I would stop doing that..." |

Milky Way, Aurellia System, Aeona: As the two mighty fleets clash near the capital world, lighting the heavens with their rage, the planet Aeona sits pristine and pure, on the planet’s dark side near the southern pole a small task force moves ominously toward the planets weakest monitored spot. 2 “Antaneus” class Al’kesh uncloak, their black hulls glistening with Reflex armor. The two bulky ships fly side by side but part as a larger ship uncloaks, the troop carrier has the symbol of the Titan Empire emblazoned on its hull. As the larger heavily armored ship moves past the Al’kesh it is followed by a dozen “Harpy” class Deathgliders. The small task force begins to descend toward the planets magnetic pole, as they do the Al’kesh open their gun ports unlimbering their staff cannons and torpedo launchers. One of the Al’kesh slows and slowly turning targets a communication and navigation satellite. A bright flash along the underside of the hull and a bright point of light flashes out, it’s glittering contrail leads to the satellite as the impact lights the skies for miles in all directions. The explosion massive, the Naquadah amplifying the power a thousand fold……. Aeona, Outskirts of Ceres: As the night looms heavy on the city, all are on alert as the news of the Titan Fleet’s attack has reached them here. As two merchants stand talking outside a tavern one of them laughs heartily throwing back his head as he does but stops laughing as he sees something odd. His partner turns and looks and sees a bright pin point of light growing larger by the second coming over the horizon. One of them begins to ask a question but is cut short as the bright light impacts with the tavern; the bomb blows the building and all the other buildings within a 2 block radius to shreds. As buildings burn on the city’s outskirts civilians run in all directions as they try to put out the blaze that threatens to engulf the whole city. As one man holds a bucket of water he draws back to toss it on the fire when a knife blade erupts from his chest. He violently spits blood as he falls face first to the dirt dead. Behind him a sensuous female form rises in the light of the fire, blood dripping from her blade. Her body is clothed in tight form fitting black armor, her head and upper body are concealed in black flowing robes, as she looks about 4 more Ash’rak uncloak from the shadows and doorways ,as she looks at them with a ever so slight hand motion they nod and take off into the shadows. As the female Ash’rak slowly slides her blade back into her sheath, from the flames behind her the sound of heavy marching boots precede the image of rank upon of black armored Jaffa marching through the flames, staffs held before them in a martial pose, hundreds if not thousands of Jaffa march forward, their dragon helmets growling fiercely as the ranks part slightly and march around the Ash’rak. She laughs as the rolling wave of Jaffa open fire on anything they see in the name of the “Titan of Power”. As she crosses her arms over her chest the ground shudders as to her left and right massive mechanical legs burst through the burning buildings blowing them over, the segmented legs rise up and upon them sit the Typhon walkers, the massive Attack walkers groan as they brace their legs and massive staff cannons perched on their upper hull aim up into the sky and begin lobbing salvos of fire deep into the cities center. The Ash’rak nods as a Jaffa Commander walks up next to her, he plants the end of his staff in the ground as a hot breeze of death and sorrow catches his black cloak and whips it violently. He reaches up with his free hand and touching his collar allows his dragon helmet to segment and recede into his collar. He nods and says, “Greetings shadow warrior, has your team secured the administration center?” She slowly shakes her hooded head as she says, “Not yet Commander but soon, as we speak my team heads deeper into the heretic’s lair, my team has never failed the Emperor, we will not start tonight.” She nods and then touching a small plate on her forearm gauntlet cloaks. The Commander looks about him as two Jaffa stand near him staffs held ready from any threat to their leader. “Harpy” class DeathGliders swoop over head strafing the city and launching missiles as they go. The massive attack walkers grind the buildings to dust as they bowl through them moving deeper into the city and rank upon rank of Jaffa massacre all before them.” The Commander reaches up and touching his collar reactivates his helmet, the dragon helm growls warningly as the Commander hefts his staff and begins to join a unit of Jaffa moving into the city. The Commander looks at his heads up display scanning for any enemy as he walks and keying open his comm. says, “This is Commander Menelaus, all units be aware, there may be considerable enemy units, on world, the orders from High Command and Lord Mynos is to give no quarter, kill them all. Secure any government building or terminals, no damage, we need the access to the heretics computer system, any units to accomplish this must contact me immediately that is all……” |

"Lord Marshal," came a quiet voice to Tyr's right. His mind was clouded, lost in thought before the gentle tunes brought him back to reality. He shook aside the doubts in his mind and turned to face the voice. "Yes?" It was one of the sensor technicians. Not very old, and bore a tattoo along the left side of her face that indicated her lineage to one of the original Great Houses. "Aeona is under siege, Lord Marshal. What are your orders?" Tyr sighed, knowing full-well that until peace was made with the Titan Empire, the people of this system would know no peace. "We do nothing. Send word to Romulus to take the Lady Discord aboard her ship. If this fighting turns sour, I want him and his forces to return to Aion. They may be allies, but they have precious few resources to throw at this specter." The technician nodded solemnly with the knowledge that those within Ceres, those who chose not to retreat back to the safety of the Citadel, were as good as dead. She relayed the message to Romulus and sat back, staring at her monitor. As it scrolled violently before her, updating with dozens of various readings, she could only wonder how this system could be saved. *** "Commander, Ceres is lost," came the lone voice in the commander center. Khepri bowed his head in reverence to the dead that would be unable to return their water to their brethren. Rage bubbled up in his chest and exploded. He grabbed his knife and hurled it into the wall, digging deep into the stone as he cried out. He took a deep breath and then regained his composure. In two years he had lost but a thousand men during the sieges of this planet. And in one minute he had lost over a hundred thousand. "Shields at full power, ready Hirule batteries for mobile armor, deploy Bahamut walkers to the second tier to provide additional firing support. Stand-by troop deployments for immediate engagement, and do not fire until they've reached half of our firing range. We make them underestimate us. Lock down all doors and corridors for three levels everywhere on the Citadel. Nothing gets in or out that isn't authorized. The minute any sirens go off, full lockdown until the threat is neutralized. We will avenge these losses, and we will make them pay for thinking that we shall fall so easily!" On the edges of the Citadel, the enormous Hirule batteries were being lifted up from their subterranean enclosures to aim down the valleys and mountain passes. Without a fleet to engage the shield and weaken it, and with the Stargate safely shielded within the Citadel, the enemy ground forces were tasked with running a gauntlet down a mere eight total passes. Each submitted the encroaching enemy to open ground and relentless fire that could bring down entire fleets. It would take an act of nature herself to bring down the Citadel. |

Aeona, Outskirts of Ceres: The sun barely clears the horizon as the dawning of the new day sheds light upon the ruins of the great city. Fires rage all across the city devouring many of the quarters. Black armored Jaffa march through the streets kicking in the doors of the dwellings and killing the occupants or tossing grenades into the buildings, the following explosions devouring the buildings in flames and adding to the maelstrom. On the roof of a 5 story building, Commander Menelaus stands on the edge of the roof, one foot perched up on the edge as his dragon helmet slowly pans back and forth, the raised dragon head’s red eyes glow ominously as within the helmet Menelaus watches the heads up display as it zooms in on the distant Citadel. He watches as the protective shield glows and pulses, he sees troops moving along the battlements and mobile walkers positioning themselves, he sees the massive artillery pieces rising from their bunkers and within his helmet he nods approvingly as he says” Whoever the Commander of that Citadel is he is sharp, moving mobile artillery to the upper reaches to add fire support, very nice.” Menelaus turns and reaching up touches his collar, the dragon helm segments and collapses into the collar. Menelaus blinks his eyes and walks toward the hatchway to the roof and making his way down is intercepted by a Priest who bows and says,” Commander, Talon squad of the “Titan’s Own Regiment”, XII Corp has reported, they have found an sensor array on the far side of the docks.” Menelaus grins as he says,” And?” The Priest nods as he says,” It is tied to the main military command net.” Menelaus grabs his staff from the corner and says,” Tell our honored guest to meet us there.” Menelaus leaves the building at a brisk run. Aeona, Dockyard: Several minutes later Commander Meneluas and his Jaffa escort arrive at the docks, the smell of fish and coastal refuse fill his nostrils unpleasantly. He pushes through a throng of Jaffa who are milling about a small metal building, the main doors have been pried off, as Menelaus looks up he can see extending from the roof of the building perched on a thick concrete column a massive tangle of burnt and damaged wiring and steel framework of an sensor array. Menelaus enters the building and sees a black robed Priest hunched over the rooms lone console. The Priest turns and bowing to Menelaus says,” Commander the console is still operational but it was locked down during the attack, no doubt some kind of security protocol.” The Priest stretches and says,” However….” The Priest leads Meneluas and his escort through the curious crowd of Jaffa and around back of the squat building. 4 Jaffa stand with staffs pointed, occasionally pushing or scolding the 6 slaves, captured from the city that dig furiously. The Priest smirks as he says,” However, we will by pass the console terminus and tap the main truck lines that lead to the central computer.” A demonic voice booms out,” I will handle this personally!” Menelaus and the Priest turns to see a heavily armored regal looking figure. The dragon helmet turns to look at all those assembled. The red armor of the warrior shimmers as behind him wicked serrated chains rise behind him and lashes at the ground with an audible crack. The assembled Jaffa drop to one knee as Commander Menelaus bows and says,” My Lord Lucifer, the trunk line is exposed.” Lucifer walks forward, as he does his helmet retracts into his collar. He looks thoughtfully at the exposed trunk line and says,” Excellent.” Menelaus steps forward and says,” My lord forgive me but I do not see how this will help us accomplish our goals, why not assault the Citadel?” Lucifer looks at Menelaus and says,” Why haul a pile of stones when moving one pebble can accomplish the same task? This trunk line has direct access into the mainframe, with security protocols no doubt…” Menelaus watches as the glimmering serrated chains rise behind Lucifer and shoot forward into the pit and wrap about the trunk line ripping it free of the ground it was buried in, one of the chains pierces the line and glows as it begins to merge with the line. Lucifer’s eyes begin to twitch and move rapidly as he says,” But with a micro version of the Titan Net slicer programs I can hack the less defended data dump of this mainframe, the place where all obsolete data packets go, and find what I am looking for.” Menelaus looks surprised as he says,” The coordinates to Kualpuch are in a data dump?” Lucifer smirks as he says,” No computer system no matter how complex is infinite, they will all need space eventually, so they dump data packets of a certain age, when starships enter the system they interface with the mainframe and their data packets are stored and dumped. The coordinates are in here, but Commander you need to make sure I have the time to find them.” Commander Menelaus slams his fist to his chest as he says,” Have no doubt my lord, you will have all the time you need.” Menelaus turns and leads the Jaffa contingent away as Lucifer nods and interfaces with the data lines. |

"Commander, we have a new situation developing," a comm officer said calmly across the vast command room within the Aeonan Citadel. Khepri was busy watching the deployment of the defenses and his eyebrow piqued. "What's happening now?" he asked as he walked towards the junior officer. "It appears not all of our charges went off in the city...one of our comm bouys near the docks failed to completely demolish its bunker." "And?" "It's one of our data dumps. We chose that location because it would be easy to let in sea water, let a slight current spark, and all the data would be wiped in an instant." "Which apparently didn't happen." "No, sir." Khepri sighed. "So what's the situation." The officer rolled his chair over to a new terminal, which showed the constellation of satellites in various orbits around the planet. A large group was flashing red. The officer pointed to this cluster. "The enemy took out this grid, but we've been able to pull in eyes from the other groups. From what we can see with thermal, the enemy is sending troops down to excavate the bunker to obtain the intel there." "Can we be sure they know what's down there?" "Fairly, sir. There are large amounts of power cabling down there, and they are obviously no fools." Khepri stood up and yelled across the room to the officer in charge of the artillery. "Can we get a firing solution on the docks bouy bunker?" "Negative, Commander...we can't get the right firing arc to even get close to it." Khepri cursed himself for such a blatant design flaw. However, now was not the time to wallow in hindsight. He turned back to the comm officer. "Keep a watchful eye on the bunker. I want to know how close they're getting, updates every ten minutes." Khepri walked back to his command post two levels above while shouting to the room, "Get me the Lord Marshal immediately on my deck!" When Khepri reached his post overlooking the holographic map, Tyr was already looking at him through the large monitor to the left-hand side. "Commander," Tyr said with a slight bow. Khepri returned the gesture. "Lord Marshal." "What seems to be the new situation?" "It appears the central data dump near the docks has not secured its bunker." "So it's still running?" "Yes, Lord Marshal. And we believe the enemy intends to glean the coordinates of Kualpuch from the dump." "We can't allow that to happen, Commander." "I know, sir. That's why I need an orbital strike." "You what?" "I require an orbital strike, sir." "That is a hardened bunker, Commander...even a rail blast wouldn't come close to knocking it out." "I know, sir...that's why I have a plan..." |

Aeona, Dockyards, Sensor Bunker: The ripped, metal doors are shadowed by the form of Commander Menelaus, as he exits the bunker to look upon the Jaffa standing a wary guard about the thick reinforced structure. He watches as squads of black armored Jaffa march about the dockyards and move in and out of the warehouse in the area. Several teams of Jaffa begin setting up tripod mounted staff cannons covering the only approach to the bunker and it’s only entrance. A Jaffa approaches and nodding respectfully says, “Commander, Ground Forces Command is requesting your presence.” Menelaus nods as he follows the Jaffa into a abandoned warehouse and sees the holoprojector set up in the center of the room. Menelaus straightens his cloak and steps upon the holoprojector as he says,” This is Menelaus.” A projector set up across the room displays the image of a Jaffa Commander on the “Titan’s Fist” the Commander nods and says,” Be advised we are tracking incoming hostile vessels to the planet, possible drop forces, also we are currently entering a critical phase of this fleet engagement, we may have to break out and withdraw, I advise you quickly retrieve the data and fall back to the carriers and withdraw.” Menelaus’s eyes narrow as he says, Commander, Lord Lucifer will need more time, can you not supply us with any fleet support?” The Commander shakes his head and says,” The “Grand Titan Fleet” has still not left from Hezara and most of our ships are dead in space or engaged, if one of our ships regains power I will have Fleet Command route them to you but until then you are on your own.” Menelaus nods and steps off the platform as he turns to a Jafaf and says,” Pull all troops out of the city proper and have them begin converging on the docks, prepare for incoming hostiles and get those Troop Carriers on the comm., get them here, we will need a quick escape if things go bad. Have the “Antaneus” and “Harpies” on patrol any ships entering the atmosphere have them shoot down. Oh and bring the Typhon Walkers down from the upper city to shield this spot and provide artillery support.” Menelaus turns and briskly makes his way back to the bunker and enters the structure and heading down deeply into it enters the room where the trunk lines are exposed, electrical arcs sputter about the room and electricity pulses up and down the length of the serrated glistening chains of Lord Lucifer. Menelaus bows and says,” My lord we have enemy preparing to converge on this location, Ground Forces Command is recommending we leave.” Lucifer looks up and says,” I am very close, I need you to buy me as much time as possible, the losses we incur here are nothing compared to the loss we will suffer if we fail the Emperor, this will not be in vain Commander, just buy me time and as soon as I can I will assist.” Menelaus bows and heads out of the bunker to prepare for the siege. |

-The hexagonal golden shape of the War Chariot erupted from hyperspace and settled in among the Halouv and the Sparrow, encrypting the Banshee cipher and hailing both at the same time. When Romulus had both ship captains on screen he didn't take command, he didn't aasert himself, he asked each what their thoughts on how best to proceed were- -Somewhat startled yet impressed by the gesture, both captains suggested an infiltration, after aerial bombardment of the surrounding area. Direct strike against the bunker even with the power of the rail guns or the Kinetic Kill missiles wouldn’t guarantee the bunker's collapse, and they couldn't risk hitting it directly anyway as it would risk collapsing the tunnels and preventing proper infiltration- -the three ship commanders stared at each other as they all thought of how best to proceed, the gears visibly turning, and a few suggestions were made but quickly discounted as either too ineffective, or too risky for the small strike force. They didn't know if the ships currently involved in the space battle were the only ones that could or would respond, and they didn't have enough hard data on the number and strength of ground assault to make a proper insurgent estimate- -finally, to everyone's surprise, it was neither captain who made the call. There was a static snap and pop,, and the black cloaked figure of Discord came onto the command deck and approached Rom, dropping her hood and retracting her glimmering veil, and with a resonant contralto voice- "Permission to come aboard and offer suggestion, Second Prime of Ares" -Rom tried to hide the expression on his face but it was visible for a moment; first shock, then anger then resignation and back to his imitation of Ares blank slate. He hadn't liked how their last conversation had ended, and he didn't like how she was now being so distant and formal, let alone in view of the other allies, but he was slightly relieved that she had possible ideas they didn't.- "Welcome aboard Lady Discord, you are as welcome here as you would be by the Lord of War himself. " -As Rom stepped back but not out of sight, Discord stepped into view for both screens and bowed her head- "Lords of Kualpush, before I voice my strategy, may I inquire what each ship is capable of?" -She listened as each captain outlined what their respective ships could do, and the plans they'd already gone over that wouldn't work. Her pale eyes glittered but weren’t focused on any one thing as her sharp mind went through several gears- -after a long debate the captains finally settled on the plan laid out by Discord, and quickly moved to execute it. Rom had to admit he wouldn't' have thought of it himself, let alone attempted it in the manner she was able to outline, but he didn't question. In the end he was a soldier and soldiers followed orders- -the Halouv lurched ahead and come out of hyperspace half a hemisphere away from the battle, and targeted a wide spread area around the base of the shielded citadel with the long range Qalamok cannons, blasting the surface from a safe distance and annihilating any ground troops and support walkers close to the citadel, while the plasma flak turrets saturated the upper atmosphere further away from the blast zone to cripple or destroy any aerial support getting out of or headed in to the devastation.- -the Sparrow would come next, dropping into the atmosphere like a dagger and dropping it's boarding pods to the ground as the Halouv cannon fire was halted, depositing it's load of soldiers to defend the citadel from retaliatory strikes, or at least to appear to. The soldiers would fan out and push any survivors or reserve forces back away from the shield and the citadel- -as the Sparrow was depositing it's troops, the War Chariot would cut into the upper atmosphere, and like a school of fish release it's complement of 140 each Arc Light and Centaur fighters from the underside mounted docking bays on either outer platform in a blossom dispersal pattern, joined quickly by a double helix formation of almost 50 Fist of Ares Alkesh variants that streaked for the perimeter of the city and the enemy landing platforms- -Centaur and Fist Alkesh ships unleashed a volley of Gorgon and Kinetic Kill missiles in nearly a full kilometer kill zone, the resulting cumulative damage impact shaking the very foundation of the city,, while Arc Light ships like glittering hawks swept in at break neck speeds, their point defense laser systems tearing up anything that tried to escape the kill zone- -In orbit, the War Chariot and the Halouv would continue jamming any transmissions off the planet, while situating the atmosphere with flack cannon and ha'tak level cannon fire from the multiple dorsal mounted ports on the chariot. The two pronged attack caught the enemy on both sides and forced them to either huddle into another kill zone, or separate and weaken their overall surviving forces.- -While all this took place, a single cloaked alkesh took off from the War Chariot and flew low over the surface out and around the kill zone, and deposited a single black cloaked figure via em dash without breaking cloak and settled out over the water to wait for signal and act as a recall point. The single figure didn't show up on scans due to the micro carbon fiber outfit, and blended with the shadows where she'd arrived- -a quick visual overlay formed on her veil, and with a few simple strokes of her gloved hand, and the quiet pop and static of her travel, bypassed the surface guard of the enemy Jaffa, and found herself hiding in the shadow of a still walker's leg. Her hand dipped into a pouch at her hip, hood glancing up briefly, and then settling a small circular device into the segmented joint that she could reach- -she repeated this process on all the walkers that had settled over the bunker, warping from place to place, the sound of her passage muted by the artillery fire and combat. Finally, she went to just beside the bunker, huddled down in a darkened corner where her cloak blended, and hit a button on her inner palm. The Quantum grenades all went off at once, each device emitting a sphere of distortion nearly a hundred meters in all directions, warping space and anything caught in its radius, including one close enough to the front of the bunker to take a good portion of the door and hallway, and with a sound like rushing vacuum, imploded and erased all the space the distortion had touched like the hand of some chaotic god had swept through with an ice cream scoop and just taken bites out of reality- -the ensuing chaos of the assault was distraction enough for the Lady Discord to slide down the hall and further into the bunker, a few more tricks up her sleeve before her tasks were complete- |

Aeona, Dockyards, Sensor Bunker: As the bombardment continues Commander Menelaus looks up from the shelter of the doorway he is leaning in, he leans out and looks around the corner as he watches the bright flashes in the sky overhead. He reaches up and touches his collar activating his dragon helmet, he watches as his heads up display blinks to life inside his helmet, he nods approvingly as the Titan Net, second to none still provides him with real time intel. He vocally opens a comm.. and says,” All squads be wary of aerial strikes and continue to converge on the dock yards, regular interval comm. checks.” Menelaus turns and looks toward the bunker as massive explosions rock the “Typhon” walkers near it causing the massive walking beast to collapse. Menelaus curses, as his dragon head turns and its eyes flash, he takes off toward the bunker several blocks away followed by a dozen Jaffa. As Lady Discord makes her way into the exposed trunk line room, she finds it empty, the ruined lines sparking and sputtering, the crackling sound mask the sounds over her head, several chains lance down from the ceiling and wrap about her pinning her arms to her side and pulling her legs wide. The black glittering chains hoist her high into the air and as she struggles, she sees on the far side of the room, emerging from the shadows, a red armored figure, his vast black wings fold out from the protective embrace they held him in and flare widely as Lord Lucifer allows his dragon helmet to collapse into his collar. Lord Lucifer smirks as he looks at the trunk lines and back to Discord and says,” You came to stop me? Really? You all alone against a Horsemen, ah but you must not have know I was here, for surly no one would wish to face me alone.” Lucifer smirks as two figures emerge from cloaking fields behind him and drop to one knee, the hooded figures look up at Discord as Lucifer says,” Theses are real Ash’rak, Titan Ash’rak, look upon them well for they are your superiors in every way.” Lucifer makes a motion and the Ash’rak rise as he walks closer to the immobile Discord. A long black shimmering chain rises behind him and snakes over his shoulder and writhes near Discord’s face as it’s end splays out into a hideous blade. Lucifer looks at Discord as the chain snakes up and with one swift move drills through her left hand and comes out the ruined back of her hand. Lucifer grins wickedly and licking his lips says,” Who sent you, was it the Aurellian’s, how large are your forces, oh do not worry I will not ask about the coordinates to Kualpuch….I HAVE THOSE NOW AND SOON SO WILL ATLAS!!!……….. |

-The Lady Discord didn't have to feign surprise or fear or pain, all three were in plentiful supply as she was yanked into the air and then her hand impaled. Sparks were visible from where the chain went through one of the Fury Portal activators on that gloved palm, and her veil shimmered as the HUD showed redirection of power to kill the emitter before it could explode- -she let sounds escape of her lips, but they were not entirely pained, almost sounds one would hear from a bedroom. Her veil recalled up into the diadem around her brow, and she settled her pale eyes on those of Lucifer. In an instant he could see her dilated pupils, the flush to her skin, the slight part of her full lips and know that the blade through her hand hadn't been where the sound of pain had come from, but rather the yanking off the ground had- "Who sent me?" -her rich contralto voice was practically humming, and her lips curved in a beatific smile- "I sent me... " -and three things happened at once; her unpierced hand opened and a small circular device fell to the floor with a metallic clatter and a growing whine that increased in pitch swiftly, at the same time her hand opened, the floor below Lucifer opened as she activated the recall to the waiting ship out over the water- -Lucifer's own weight worked against him as he slipped through the portal and fell heavily into the cargo area of the waiting ship, the effect of quantum travel being just enough to slightly disrupt his neural connection and Discord fell in a crouch over his chest, her hand still speared by the chain though it was loosing it's consistency- -In the bunker the two Ashrak were left with the empty room that suddenly flared with the ripple of quantum distortion as the grenade overloaded, enveloping nearly all the space between the bunker and the ruined surface, and then slamming back into itself to erase all that had been there with a static vacuum pop- -Discord's free hand went to her side and drew one of the black Agil from her belt and stroked Lucifer's face with the other bloodied hand. She leaned over him almost purring as she placed the end of the Agil against his exposed temple and let out a sound close to release as the gold light spilled from her eyes and mouth and his body jerked under her, bucking and writhing from the direct contact- -Two Templar stood to either side, unsure of what to do as the Lady Discord rode the writhing body, keeping the Agil pressed to his temple even as smoke began to raise from his scalp and the point of contact. His screams came in one long ragged sound as if he were screaming as swiftly as he could draw breath. Her face was set in an expression of pleasure, near ecstasy, as his body finally stopped writhing and fell still- -She leaned down over him and lightly pressed lips to his twitching mouth as she removed the Agil from his temple, then reached over and pulled the blade from her hand with a jerk and a sigh, watching as the armor returned to it's neutral state. Standing with a slight wobble, she glanced over to one Templar- "Put him in your storage device," -to the other Templar- "Open channel to the Chariot and give the signal…" -the Templar was almost too frightened to hesitate, giving the all clear signal to Rom in the Chariot who in turn sent a modified Epsilon maneuver to the alkesh ships that had been peppering the area with Strike Arrows and staff blasts. The Fist Alkesh ships swerved out over the battlefield, and golden Templars appeared on the ground below them. Within seconds, black armored Gladiators were launched, appearing beside the Kualpush soldiers, grabbing them as their Templars made the recall, and then the Alkesh were flying back over them to pick up every ground troop and head up toward the waiting Chariot- "Romulous to Citadel command, bunker secure, aerial support and artillery neutralized…need anything else?" -he couldn't keep the smirk out of his tone- |

"Not unless you bake a mean cake, Romulus," Khepri replied on the channel. Then, he switched over to the secure line with the Halouv. "Duchess Evrith here," the sultry voice of the destroyer's captain hailed. "Duchess, you have clearance for controlled sterilization protocol alpha-three. Copy?" "Alpha-three copied. Will commence bombardment in five seconds. I hope no friendlies are still down there..." *** During the engagement, the Halouv had only fired her main rails at 10% capacity, building up energy in her buffers but not creating enough power to blow a hole in the ground. Most of the energy dissipated in the atmosphere with the rail system, which was why--along with its incredible length--the system was never really installed into ground defenses. Hence, the impact from the sky only resulted in a relatively small, if powerful, explosion. With the energy allowing for a precise, immensely powerful impact, the destroyer aligned itself with the remaining enemy troops. The Duchess smiled as she saw the bluish glow along the bow of her destroyer. The mass of energy was slung just like the previous dozen before it. As it raced into the atmosphere, its glow brightened indicating the ionization of the gases. When it hit the cloud layer, it was a distinct shade of saffron. Enemy troops looked up just in time to see it tear right through one of the remaining walkers. The blast tore into the ground. Silence settled on the ten block radius for a split second before chaos erupted. The energy slug lost containment twenty feet under the ground and exploded, sending the earth buckling above the spot. As the gamma rays pierced the unsteady ground, the unlucky living creatures standing on it were incinerated; a full sterilization of the immediate area. Damage was relatively low, although there was no standing building in the radius. What few survivors from the Titan fleet now were sequestered to their gliders and Alkesh, fleeing to some imaginary safe zone in Aurellia. |

Aeona, Dockyards: Commander Menelaus slowly rises from the ruins of the bunker. He slowly gets to his feet as his badly damaged helmet slowly retracts into his collar. He looks about as blood flows down the side of his face, all about him dead and dying Jaffa moan and cry out. Menelaus grabs a Priest who stumbles past him and says, “My helmet is down I need an uplink to fleet command.” The Priest shakes his head with a manic look as he says, “The fleet is gone the “Titan’s Fist” is damaged beyond respite.” Menelaus thinks quickly and says, “Grab whose left, order a full retreat to the Carriers, have them breach the surface and begin loading our troops. And in the name of Atlas get those Gliders back here!!” The Priest nods as he runs off toward a partially collapsed building. Menelaus turns and looking toward the ruins of the bunker says a silent prayer to Atlas, for any who were inside. A shrill scream is heard as Menelaus and all those present look sky ward and watch as bright glowing streaks come down on the city or what’s left of it. As one particular blast lands in the high city Menelaus slowly closes his eyes and falling to his knees places his staff next to him on the ground thinks,"How could it have come to this?!". The ground violently buckles and erupts as the blast consumes the city and all those left from the Titan Expeditionary Force. Menelaus final sight is of the massive shockwave carrying tons of burning debris and wreckage hurtling toward him, a massive “Typhon” Walker sails through the sky, the staff cannons rotating wildly as it lands on Menelaus….In the skies of the city, the few remaining Al’kesh and DeathGliders break orbit and head deep into space to escape the “Route of Aurellia”. Aeona, High Orbit, Cargo Hold of Ares Ship: Subspace Signal Lost:…………………………. Attempting to Reaquire:……………………… Failed to Reaquire:……………………………… Reflex X Onboard Protocols Active:……….. Protocol Delta Titan 4:………………………... Initiated Reflex Nanite Core:…………………………….. 95% Mass Intact Recipient Neural Pulses:…………………….. Inert Primary Neural Pulse:………………………… Inert Secondary Neural Pulse……………………. Inert Protocol Marionette……………………….. Active As Lord Lucifer lays prone on the deck of the Al’kesh and Lady Discord talks to the Templers. Not perceptible to the naked eyes, several million of the Reflex Nanites work their way into the ear canals of the unconscious Lord. His body gives one shudder before an ear splitting roar fills the hold. Discord turns and looks with shock as the prone body is propelled from the floor of the hold and suspended in mid air by the shimmering chains that now shoot out into all directions. Half a dozen of the chains lance forward and impale both Templars to the bulk head, as the blades on the end of the chains begin to tear the Templar’s apart, blood and gore splashing about the hold. Several of the chains entwine and slither about Discord pinning her arms to the side of her body. As she looks on the limp unconscious form of Lucifer’s face twitches as several black veins begin to quickly spread across his face, terminating at his eyes. His eyes open and the orbs are completely black, his pupils glow with an ominous blood colored tint, as his dragon helm suddenly snaps up into place. The dragon head growls menacingly at Discord as the chains lower Lucifer’s form to the deck. Lucifer walks to within inches of Discord as the dragon head twist and turns, scanning her from head to toe. The dragon head turns and the eyes go from a red glow to a blue one as they emit a shaft of light that resolves into the massive form of Emperor Atlas. The Titan Emperor looks about the hold but his image wavers as the projector resets indicating this is not a live feed. Atlas smirks as he says, “Excellent, I see things have come full circle.” Atlas looks at Discord and says, “Forgive my poor manners, I am the Titan Net, ah yes this form is just one that suits me. The real Atlas has been deceased for quite some time. He perished on Heliopolis from Decimation. Luckily he created me, or should I say laid the ground work for me.” The image of Atlas wavers as he says, “I have watched for quite some time, my eyes and ears are everywhere of course. The Atlas on the “Atok” is my creation, I was there during the ceremony on Argus, or should I say my essence was, the “Horsemen’s” ship the “Apocalypse” I am woven into everything in the Titan Empire and soon this whole galaxy. I am the perfect organism and there is nothing I cannot absorb. I prevented the resurrection of Atlas, I destroyed Hezara, and soon I will finish with Ares and Kualpuch ending any meaningful resistance.” The Atlas projection turns to Lucifer and says, “You have done well, the coordinates are mine, safely stored in your armors onboard processors, and now transmitted to my central network, I can route the Titan Fleet to Kualpuch after I finish with Ares of course. As for you..” Atlas turns to Discord and looks her up and down and says, “She is weak, let her go, let her return to her War God and be my herald, go tell Ares that the Titan Net is coming for him, he is smart, he has probably figured out that Atlas was really dead already.” The image fades as Lord Lucifer’s helmet’s eyes become red again. The red armored warrior steps back as the chains slowly unwind from Discord’s sinous form. Lucifer turns away from her but the dragon head rotates around and locks on her for but a second until Lucifer begins to walk toward the door to the pel’tak…… Edited by Lord Atlas, Mar 30 2011, 10:16 PM.

-Discord took a second to get her footing, glancing at the retreating back of the figure that was once a Horseman. She recalled the talk of the first strike against Argos, now Aion, and the death of Azazel, another Horseman, at Ares hand. Her eyes narrowed, the thought that motivated her was not fear, or anger; it was compassion- -she reached forward and knew the suit would react, lashing out at her with one of the chains. Her body dove to one side and she used the momentum of her fall, and the force of the strike, to lend power to the pull against the chain as she rolled while falling. Unprepared, the rest of Lucifer's body jerked backward and stumbled into the open vortex at his feet, and Discord's gloved hand quickly released the striking chain to let the rest of him fall into the pocket and the distortion closed over it- -she sat for a moment, forcing her breathing to even out, then made her way to the pel'tak and fell heavily into one of the chairs. The copilot got up quickly and came to her but she waved him off, her face showing nothing but the commanding air as she spoke- "To the ship, we must go back to Feltor-Brey…" -as she and the last alkesh docked with the War Chariot she was using the intercom sub vocal connection to speak to Romulus- "We must get back to the station and the gate… I fear Ares and all of Aion is in great danger.." -Romulous didn't hesitate at that, and he broke formation from the other two Kulapush ships to head back to the station at highest speed. When they arrived, they found the fleet there leaving through the other gate, and no mention of Tyr. Making a mental note to report later, he ordered the ship through the QGA back to Aion- |

Ruins of Ceres White stood at the epicenter of the Qalarnok impact; the shockwave amid the rocky ground had been crystallized for humiliating immortality. His stained cloak danced in the wind as the hood fell down to reveal the metallic helm. Dark watched as his partner removed the tattered cloak. It was overcome by the wind, quickly being whisked away to some far-off place. White's hands balled up into fists shortly before Dark heard an audible whine from White's armor. Suddenly, White raised his fists upward before driving them down into the ground. Dust and rock flew into the air from the impact. A few bounced off of Dark, though he stood silent as his partner released his frustration into the ground. Fist after fist tore into the ground for minutes on end. Finally, White collapsed onto his knees. He stood now in a crater two feet deep. Dark approached him slowly and put a calming hand on the panting soldier. "I know, brother...I know." For the first time in a century, amid all the death and destruction of the once-proud and gleaming jewel of Aeona, White spoke. It came out in a mechanized, inhuman voice: appropriate for his message. "Let us kill something..." |

Citadel Gate Room "I know of a possible mercenary realm," Dark piped up as they stood in the wrecked gate room. "Women, money, glory...everything you'd like." "Death." Dark looked at his companion for a second and shook his head before stepping forward to the DHD. "Very well, but let me just add that your grief is really fucking with my aura, you know that?" White's head turned to stare at Dark. The other man let out a short laugh and waved the glare away. "What, I can't be serious? It was wit I fell short of mastering, brother...not humour in general." A few panels were pressed haphazardly as Dark tried to recall the address. His fingers rapped against the main orb in thought before he remembered the last two symbols. The gate finished dialing and called forth the familiar energy destabilization surge. Light shimmered across the sand-and-white-colored walls of the gate room. White cast aside his cloak and stepped towards the gate. His armor was covered in white linens, swords strapped firmly to his legs and back. Dark discarded his own cloak to reveal similar attire, though he gripped his greatsword while resting it on his right shoulder. "Then let us find war..." |
