HIMMEL![]() Type: Civic, naquadah mines, laboratories Under controll: Goa'uld, Orii (past) Nazi/Goa'uld (present) Himmel once called in a completely different way, is a planet rich in vegeazione reminiscent of the Black Forest of Germany and is the only planet that have come before the fall of the Nazi regime during World War II. The planet was once under the control of the Goa'uld Pryderi before the latter was defeated and killed by the Nazi hierarchy. The planet Himmel renamed in honor of the expedition's leader Himmler, was later master of the Nazi occupying forces that destroyed the existing population and concentration camps in retaliation. With the Goa'uld knowledge, they created through cloning method, a population that they say was perfect but that proved largely incapable of procreation. The loss of World War II, many Nazi leaders took refuge on the planet leaving the clones in their place on Earth. Following the Stargate was recovered from the DHD American mind by the Russians, but the documents that recalled the existence of this planet were destroyed in advance even if a trace of coordination of the symbols in the DHD was in Russian hands. A number of years of isolation a new threat looms. A System Lord claimed the planet as his and sent an embassy who concluded a treaty with Nazi population of the planet. Main clause of the Treaty, was the arrival of the Goa'uld on board its new host as a sign of good will and cooperation. The host became famous for his Goa'uld genetic esoperimenti: Nirrti Then the planet was included among the possessions of the Goa'uld, but enjoyed a certain freedom also due to technological and scientific pursued by both parties. With the death of Nirrti, the planet once again found himself free from the yoke of the Goa'uld but remained isolated stargate temporarily hide her until the birth of a new Adolf Hitler, both in person in the cloned symbiont. Himmel was strangely shunned by replicators and visited by Orii poison that destroyed much of the population before leaving the planet. Himmel was later discovered by one of the corvettes to Khnum and quarantined due to its hazardous nature, even the Goa'uld. Edited by Khnum, May 10 2011, 05:21 AM.

The City of New Berlin The former planetary capital for Pryderi & her minions was claimed by the Nazi colonists when they overthrew her. In the ensuing sixy years, they have remade it in their image, spurned on by the Wagnerian visions of Albert Speer. It is built on a large hill overlooking a forest in all directions. A wall encircles the town, but this area was quickly expanded upon by the thousands of colonists who needed living space. The immense structures Pryderi had built are now used as administrative buildings & palaces for the members of the Governing Council, Himmel's supreme ruling body & central authority of the Nazi colonists. Gleaming white marble,. mined from the nearby mountains, has replaced the grayish stone favored by the System Lord. Huge pillars flank the most important buildings, while eagles & statues of fallen heroes dominate the city's boulevard. The centrepiece is a huge scuplture celebrating the glory of the Aryan people - a man & a woman, standing together & reaching up to the heavens. Life in Nueberlin is a strange combination of modern living & seige mentality. A Governing Body rules the colony in the Fuhrer's name, represented by various branches of the NAzi party, the armed forces, & speciality groups like the SA. Beneath them, the colonial citizens are expected to devote themselves to the 'higher cause', & obey the Council's edicts as if they would the Furhrer himself. Himmelite slaves do most of the heavy labor, leaving the colonists free to join the army or pursue more esoteric interests. Crime is virtually nonexitant beyond petty theft & the like, & most colonists have a strong work ethic. Several facotires lie on the outskirts of the city near a river where industrial waste is dumped; they employ the vast majority of the colonists (along with a fair sampling of Himmelite labor) & produce everything that cannot be grown or otherwise obtained from a natural source. This is the colony's primary source of war machines & weapons; the Himmelites (both indentured slaves & those few remaining free tribes still left in the wild) are considered a never ending threat & every colonist knows what would happen if they ever gained the upper hand. Himmelite slaves are regelgated to labor camps & similar areas, away from the colonists. The Nazis consider them little more than pack animals, & while they take steps to keep them alive & healthy, they have no rights under the colonists regime. The camps are kept under constant gaurd, as are factories, mines & other areas which depend on the slaves to operate. But the Himmelites have a plan. In recent years, they have purposefully allowed some of their number to be captured & join the work force. These spies then learn as much as they can before trying to escape to their tribe to relate some key to defeating their enemies forever. If they ever gain some sort of advantage, the Himmelites would not hesitate to wipe the Nazis out to a man. The colonist army is well-equiped, their original armaments augmented by reverse engineered staff weapons & other technology captured from the Goa'uld. They even possess a few tanks & fightercraft on par with the modern day U.S. military, & their firearms are superior to the SGC's in many ways - which, when combined with their fierce determination to enslave or wipe out the last few remaining tribes of free Himmelites; has led to the relatively successful colonization of the greater regions of the planet. A few research facilities exist within the city, which work to understand & adapt Goa'uuld technology. The Stargate is a subject of little interest; the colonists believe it is a one-way conduit that naturally leads only back to Earth. In their joy at unlocking the address, the Nazis never thought that the return address might be different. In early years, they made numerous efforts to contact the Fatherland, which all ended in failure (it had been sealed up by Rommel & eventually captured by the Americans). With no way back home, & no thought that the gate might lead somewhere else besides Himmel, it has been left more or less to gather dust. . .though many hope that one day, their cousins on Earth will return through it, bringing news of the inevitable Nazi triumph & perhaps reinforcements that will help them complete their conquest of the last remaining HImmelites. |
