Battlestation Io, Olympus Orbit

"Get me all cannons online!" shrieked Palteus as he watched in horror while the Peragnith cruiser clawed its way out of the hyperspace window. It hadn't even fully breached the veil when its destroyers pirouetted away.

"Shields on-line, all cannons operational and standing by," came the response.

"What are you waiting for? Fire!"

All hundred of the heavy plasma cannons on the Io pivoted to direct their fire at the multitude of vessels spawned from the hyperspace window. From a distance, it seemed as though a tiny star was being hurled at the intruders. Upon impact the plasma snaked its way around the indigo shielding, attempting to pierce the stout defenses.

It failed.

Palteus sank to his knees as the destroyers ignored the battlestation, leaving the mothership to set its gaze upon his very soul. Apollo, forgive me.... The cruiser smashed through the station as its artillery batteries depleted the shielding. Metal crushed against shields and bone and flesh. Screams died in space, unheard by the insane commander dancing on the bridge. The last remaining power of the System Lords was here...and here he shall fall.

Battlestation Thriae, Olympus Orbit

Warning Sirens blare throughout bridge after the destruction of a fellow defense station. Operators scream into there communications links to get a fix on the origin of the foreign force. Jaffa run around the raised runway that runs along the edge of the circular room, steady streams of blue light beading down on them. The commanding officer stands up looking at the view screen focused at the exploding battlestation as it suddenly goes to standard view showing the enemy ships bearing down on them. In a frenzy and threatened with the ending of his own life the commander gives in to his own mortal bonds.

“Target the enemy ships, target the bastion, somebody fire!”

The emptiness of space erupts into a mainstream of energy heading at the forefront of the assault. While the barrage skips across the shields like a pebble on water ship all over the sector begin forming up around the the planet taking up orbit. These few ships will have to hold the line in the face of such unimaginable destruction until the fleet arrives to destroy these heathens.

A Progenitor stands at odds, hovering on the edge of the atmosphere, surrounded by the emptiness of space. The glittering jewel of the empire beneath them where millions call it home but at there moment are running for there lives. Surrounded by several other ships with dozens of Al’kesh and thousands of Gliders being scrambled from bases on the surface. Within a moment a serine existence is ripped apart by a colossal energy wave ripping the ship in two. Hundreds of Jaffa are flushed out into space in the debris created by the destruction of the ship. Waves of ions escape from the broken pods held under the main guns creating a swirl of blue and purple particulates of beauty and death. The com channels surrounding the planet come to life, full of confusion and burst of incoherent orders.

“By the gods Persenty is breaking up… I just ran into someone, there are bodies… bodies floating in space… Detection enemy presence grid 43 by 86, 30 seconds from firing solution… My god its beautiful… May Apollo, save us all… Fire!”

Hundreds of blue bolts erupt from the surface of the planet, one after another they pass between the ships of the fleet heading out into space at a in coming unknown vessels. The burst of ions ripples through space heading do straight, bearing down the intruders. No one had ever survived a full frontal assault from an ion cannon, design to be able to penetrate any known shield with little effort. Whistling through space as such a speed the multitude of blasts erupt across the entire shield of the closest destroyer. Over the course of several minutes the explosion rocketed the shields without a signal return fire from the ship. After the stop in fire it was aware that the one of the greatest weapons in the empires arsenal, had no effect. The alien threat knew this and simply took the blast, laughing at this pathetic attempt to stop them. Within Moments energy readings began to grow and warnings blared as the detected signals that they where about to return in kind. The artillery cannons flared to life send a massive barrage to the planets surface completely bypassing the fleet as if they didn’t matter. Several commanders began to give command to move there in the line of fire hoping that they could take the brunt of the attack. It was there duty to protect the citizens of the empire, if they died at the hands of these sinners they there would be no empire and there guardians would burn in Hades for eternity.

After another barrage the great forests and rolling hills where all but a light from the fires that brunt everything in its path. The great temples had been turned to rubble in a mere fifteen minutes of there arrival within the system. Such an enemy, such an enemy do destroy a gods home can be nothing less than a god and requires a god to fight back, not pets. At that moment a hyperspace window opened in deep orbit not far from the port bow of the world destroyers. Dozens of ships from the imperial white fleet let go of the claws of chaos and exited the portal that took them here. The last ship to exit was none other Prophecy, it was Apollo, to blast the demons back into oblivion from wince they came. She came to life as her wings open and began firing with the plasma cannons on the extended foils. The area came alight from the fire of every ship as it bombard there shields. Waves of energy came back at them, the same that cut through fleet before, chopping at the ships in a single swipe Apollo watch twice as his ships were destroyed.

“Fire full burst of the port bow, bring down that leviathan into the seas of the void.”

Technicians at work moved hastily as the charge neared completion, dealing with the multitude of transmission being passed throughout the fleet as the where decimated by attack after attack. Within the final moments the ship crew dark as energy diverted to ion generators and swirled around the barrel outside. The light from inside the cannon grew brighter and larger until the magnetic locks released it a billowing burst of energy. The magnitude of the blast sent Prophecy backwards as the engines strained to keep it in alignment with the enemy ship. The blast hit the shields sending pulsating waves around the entire ship as it fluctuated on the immense amount of energy being thrust at them. Ultimately it did nothing, after the blast ended the shields vibrating slightly and returned to normal. The destroyed began to turn to port aligning there main weapon on the main threat which was now Prophecy. Apollo saw what came next a blast from there main gun would fire, and chew straight through the ship. This however was nothing new, he saw the destruction of Prophecy many times but this was different, no matter how he played it. It always ends the same way with the death of a Prince, there was only one way this could be possible, there was someone on that ship that could see his movement before he made it. There’s someone else that can see the future meaning there was only one way to survive. He’d a have to dodge the blast only after it left the chamber but it would be close. To move a ship the size of Prophecy in such a short time against such a fast weapon would put so much strain on the skeleton beams of the ship that it could very well rip it apart. So now they waited for that very moment.

“Here on the ground we lie, motionless in pain, our lives passing before our eyes, but we shall not die!”

A blast from the artillery gun fired lighting the otherwise blackness of space rippled outward. Almost as if where in slow motion Apollo saw the blast echoing through space bearing down on his fragile ship.

“Rotate 96 degrees port, pitch up 83 degrees.”

The stress in Apollo’s voice is only muffled by the squealing of Prophecy’s back from the intensity of the rotation in such a quick period. The inertia dampers strained to keep the ship together and from breaking apart. The engines roared at maximum trust even up to the moment the incoming projectile shattered through the port side leaving a burnt slice of the ship missing. Though the blunt of the blast had missed a tremendous amount of energy sent shockwaves throughout the ship. As her engines came to a halt Prophecy structure support within the pyramid shakes. A technician goes over the data from the blast on the screen with a blueprint of Prophecy onscreen covered in red warring blips.

“The main structural beam that runs the length of the ship was shattered, her back’s broken and were now dead in the water, no movement from engine core.”

Onboard the Peragnith Cruiser the commander sits in his chair, his face covered by darkness. The bridge is barely lit by the lights that run along the walls of the room. He runs his fingers across the arm of his chair reaching a set of data and sensor controls. Above appears a holographic image of the broken ship, the stress lines and cracker beams pulsating.

“Ha he dodged it, information was correct, he can indeed see the future, if only a glimpse, but his end is nigh, a seer is to dangerous to let live, blow them to dust.”

As they ready for another fire the commander grins gazing out to the darkness of space at the crippled enemy when a glint catches his eye. Almost as if space where a sheet of metal… again a sheen crosses the folds of space. The commander jumps from his chair and widens his eyes.

“Full sensor sweep of our starboard side!”

Warnings begin to glare throughout the bridge, on a holographic display of the external sensor data of the ship, including another near equal its size almost within touching distance. Flaring with discomfort the commander sits back on his chair and waves out his hand.

“Have all ships fire on that vessel and start warp displacement procedures for an immediate evac.”

On board the lone mighty battleship Kratos Zeus sits on his massive golden throne surrounded by fire. Beads of sweat run down his chest. The temperature running a higher then 120 degrees, deadly for a human but not for a Jaffa. In fact most of the system are turned off to keep the massive ship hidden from any passive sensor sweep. Zeus growls at his prey before him, they weren’t even aware of his presence massive as it is.

“Lets turn on the light, fire all cannons. They brunt my homeworld, Ill burn them, body and soul till they are nothing more than ashes.”
Down the length of the spires hundreds of cannons open fire, covering the short distance between the two mighty ships almost instantaneously. The blast patterns echo across the shields like a ripple pool of water. Although with such a colossal amount a fire power the cannons themselves are an old design and would take time to take them down, time which was not available. A sensor tech onboard the Pel’tak reveals there plan.

“Lord sensors detect a massive buildup of unknown quantum particles surround the enemy capital ship.”

Zeus leans foreword from his throne with a stern a focused aura about him. His hands dig into the golden arms crushing it beneath his hands.

“ I am Zeus, give me lightning. Fire the burst array.”

Electricity surges throughout the hull of the ship, going up and down the many spires until it stops for a mere moment. In that moment lightning flows outward striking the Cruiser with such furiousity the impacts rock the ship. Most bolts are stopped by the incredible power of the shields but a few break through directly impacting the thin hull. On the bridge the shadow covered commander looks on the events with a scowl on his face, to think such a ship existed. There where no plans of this in the data network that they hacked, how is that possible when this was designated the most complete knowledge bank about these goa’uld.

“We did what we came for this world is burnt and unsustainable and the arrival of this ship was unexpected, too bad for them this will be the last time this ever occurs.”

While under the attack the Cruiser along with the other Destroyers perform a space warp to a far flung reach. After reaching a safe distance the fleet takes a hyperspace jump to continue the next phase in there plans for this galaxy. Although from this distance they can be more then a match for this new ship its not worth the time and their plans are already running late.
