Milky Way Galaxy, Imperious Nebula, Atlas Sphere, Maw Station:

Achilles slowly, ominously rises, his black cloak fluttering about him as he scowls and hefting his staff looks at Ares as he says,”Lord Wepwawet raises a valid point. As we speak Apollo's domain is being invaded by forces of the Empire in addition to infighting and punitive expeditions from Lord Pyrrhus. It is exceeding dangerous to travel there. No to mention you have yet to mention what we are truly looking for?” Achilles walks toward the ship followed by Lord Gula, Lord Wepwawet and Ares as they all board but expect answers.....

-Ares moved past them once the rear hatch was sealed, and moved through the mirrored, hexagonal hallways as if he had a map. It was instantly apparent, the inside of the ship was not only larger than the outside denoted, but quantum archways branched off here and there indicating even more room than the hallways walked through. Finally they entered what was almost like a conference room, but the table was only a half circle, and only the outer curve had seats. Ares moved to the center of the u shape and ran his hand over the top of the black glassy surface-

-at each chair a small screen came alive, projected from underneath the glass so that the surface was touch interactive. A series of keystrokes killed the power to the archway leading into the room, and Ares took a seat casually- "As I told Wrath, there were a few Titans that wanted to live, and were willing to exchange exiled life, for certain death. In light of recent events, I've chosen now, the lull after the storm, to do a little treasure hunting ... "

-a single keystroke brought up a holographic copy of the first Lorem Ipsum scroll, and it's archaic, barely translatable Latin written in Greek lettering.- "This by itself, even with the correct DNA key, namely mine, is useless. All you'll learn is that there's something about the construction of the lecture and the composition of the parchment, that makes it possible there's something hidden inside the text itself."

-Ares stood, slowly pacing around the wall as he spoke- "On Olympus, the seat of power for Zeus during the Titan war, there is a chamber below the surface. A tactical room, where Zeus was able to receive live updated strategic information from ships, spies, and stationary probes in space. The spy network and probes are more than likely long gone, dead and destroyed. The chamber itself was sealed, and rumor floats about a guardian left behind to insure it was not ever found ... "

-Ares walked past Achilles without looking at him, stopping to look at Wepwawet directly- "This ship is equipped with slipstream quantum engines... as you yourself know... thanks to sensor sweeps by invading forces, I can get coordinates for an exact insertion position, and we jump from outside sensor range, to behind it, and make a discrete landing outside the city. Wepwawet will come with me, on foot, to find the entrance to the chamber quietly, while Lord Gula and Achilles remain here with my gunners in case we trip an alarm or encounter a patrol ship."

-Ares turned his attention to Gula- "The Scorpion as you can see is equipped with multiple pocket rooms and hallways, and the external hull is capable of severe punishment. This will be the safest place for you to be while I decrypt the first scroll. If all goes smoothly, estimated insertion, to extraction is less than twenty minutes."

-he turned off the holo screen and glanced around at the faces- "Further questions?"

Wepwawet looked around the room to see if anyone else was going to ask a question when he saw that no one was he thought for a moment and then said "Yes" everyone in the room looked at the "Horsemen", Wepwawet continued "just to satisfy my curiosity and if you don't mind me asking, which Titans did you send into exile?"

-Ares shook his head- "Many.. but only a handful chose to use the legacy system and create a Lorem Ipsum scroll of their own. Oceanus, Hyperion, Phoebe, Coeus, Iapetus, and Themis. But I highly doubt any of them are where they were left... it would have been prudent to stay where relocated for a few decades for the war to end, and then move quietly. Even if they did stay, they'd be long dead by now, as the regenerative properties of the Sarcophagai were not available to them, and they'd abandoned their Unas hosts for humans to hide their identities."

-looking around once more he nodded- "If that's all, we'll be off... I'll show you to your individual quarters." -he moved to the table again and resupplied power to the archway exit, leading them out and back down the maze of hallways-

-Gula spoke up from just behind Wepwawet- "I understand the principle behind the space folding application, but I have one question ... when we pass through archways leading into rooms obviously in their own fold, there is a noticeable disorientation upon passing the threshold. I couldn't help but notice, there was no such disorientation upon entering the ship itself, yet it is obvious the interior is also it's own level of folded space... how is that?"

-Ares spoke without turning to face them- "The size of the aperture determines the physical sensation of the disorientation. Small, personal sized tears or folds cause a greater deal of distortion than say, one housing the interior of the ship."

-Gula faintly paled- "So the .. entire interior of the ship is one pocket, with several smaller pockets within for rooms, quarters and cargo?"

-Ares nodded and finally glanced back with a blank expression- "Making it possible to jettison the entire interior, minus the control cabin, by ejecting the emitter array, and leave the true structure of the ship intact. It also prevents beaming technology from getting a sensor lock on coordinates inside the ship, and blocks any incoming/outgoing transmissions that are not made through the ship itself..."

-he paused at an archway and gestured to it- "Your room... get some rest... and I'd recommend not attempting to tinker. Wouldn't want to have to report to Wrath that you imploded yourself into oblivion attempting to hot wire something..."

As the War God began to step away Lord Gula stepped into his path, the smaller Lord looked up into Ares with no sign of fear of hesitation, in fact a dangerously serene look was playing on his face as smiled ever so faintly and said,” My apologizes Lord Ares, I could not help but notice that your plan is flawed, with all due respect to Lord Wepwawet, would you mind telling me why you are leaving the singular greatest Jaffa warrior and the most powerful member of this team on the ship.”

Ares looks about as all eyes rest upon him and Gula continues,” I am not trying to be a bother but surly you see my concern, no belittling the skills of any of you, but with a thought I could crush your hearts or rip the blood from your bodies, and yet you my good Ares propose to leave me here?” Achilles leans against the archway and leaning his staff next to him takes a dagger from his belt and looking away begins to trim his nails as he says,” Perhaps Gula you should not question a War God, especially one held above all others by your own father?”

Gula frowns and looking over his shoulder at Achilles says through clenched teeth,” And perhaps you my good Jaffa should remember your place, you are First Prime in name only, let us not jeopardize that as well?” Gula turns back to Ares and raising one finger says,” No my good Ares, I have studied your extensive bio in the Titan Net, I would not presume to tell you your business as War God, but I also would not take a chance, you are renown for thinking 20 steps ahead, so I thought 50 steps ahead, Wrath has the power, Greed the strength. But I have the mind.” Gula points at his own head as he says,” Perhaps we should all go, all of our formidable abilities together could not bested, leave your soldiers to guard the ship?”……

-Ares didn't step back, instead he took a step forward into the smaller man's private space- "If it took formidable abilities to decrypt a scroll... I'd have suggested it in the first place. The reason you and Achilles are staying put, is because the mission at hand requires stealth, not force. While I normally plan stratagem that bring me face to face with my opponents, there is no enemy in this move."

-Stepping back he gestured at Achilles- "You start by insulting the blade, boasting of your mind as if I cared how well you play games, and by insisting you both come you insult the 'Horseman'..." -his blank expression turned instantly icy- "not to mention me."

-He pointed at the archway to the room- "You have two options left to you, because in your haste to get ahead.. you've overstepped yourself. You can step into your quarters, and we continue as I have planned and outlined for all our safety ... " -he gestured back the way they came- "or you can find your way out, and hope you make it to the rear hatch before I make it to the bridge, and get this mission underway. Wrath may have appointed you as some kind of attempt at a watch dog... but you lost any advantage you may have had the moment you came aboard this vessel..."

-He rose eyes to Achilles, then to Wepwawet- "This is my Domain, within this ship is my world, your lives reside in the palm of my hand," -he rose one hand palm up with fingers faintly curled- "Currently, I have a delicate touch ... I have use for Achilles, and the Horseman... " -he looked at Gula straight on- "You are taking up precious space in a very small area... " -he closed his hand slowly beside Gula's serene expression, making the leather between his fingers creek as his eyes briefly flashed- "Test me...and you'll see the reason Titans were willing to abandon their empires rather than be at my full mercy..."

Lord Gula's eyes narrow dangerously as he takes a breath and says,”Very well Lord Ares, this is your adventure after all, who am I to douse the cold lick of doubt upon it.” Lord Gula nods ever so faintly as he moves past Ares to enter on of the rooms. Achilles finishes parring his nails and slowly sliding his dagger back into his sheath grabs his Staff and without a second look at Ares moves off down the hall toward his room leaving the War God with the “Horsemen”............

-Ares watched silently letting Achilles move down the hall as Gula stepped through the distortion of the archway before him. Once he did however, Ares turned and called out to Achilles- "There's no door ahead of you by the way..." -turning back, he hit a few keys beside the archway and there was hum as if powering down, and a tray below the keypad extended. Out of the tray he plucked a lit crystal, which instantly dimmed as he cradled it in his palm, fishing out a new one from a lower compartment before turning to beckon to Wepwawet and walk towards Achilles- "You'll want to see this..."

-As he entered the control cockpit the pair following noticed the distortion as they exited the archway and entered the control section. They'd stepped out of folded space into normal space once more, and through the Scorpion's main view they could see the gates of the Sphere open before them, already on their exit path. Ares moved back to the archway and repeated the process he'd done with the room, powering down the arch, ejecting it's buffer crystal and replacing it with a clear empty one. Turning, he held up the first one he'd ejected an showed it to the other two-

"May I introduce the fabled intelligent mind of the "Seven"... locked in timeless stasis ..." -palming the crystal he glanced to Wepwawet- "And don't worry about your suit recording and projecting everything we say or do, not while you're on this ship. The charge from the jump engines creates an EM static that jams all transmissions not made by the ship itself... we can talk freely here... my men are hand picked, loyal only to me... "

-moving past the two he sat at one of the several stations and turned his chair around to face them, tossing the crystal from hand to hand as he eyed them both- "This isn't going to be a secret mission, undertaken for the sake and glory of the Titan Empire, let me make that clear from the start. This is a scavenger hunt for something that I, or we, can use against people like this." -he held up the crystal containing the stasis of Gula-

"What I told you before .. when we had eyes and ears on us... is all true. Yes I saved Titans during the war instead of destroyed them as history recorded. Yes they left behind an encrypted map to their locations. Yes my DNA and the encryption files from the chamber in Olympus is the only way to start the journey... what I didn't say then, I'll tell you now..."

-he took a breath and crossed his arms- "The scrolls don't point the way to where I hid the Titans all those years ago... those locations are already known to me. Those locations will lead nowhere, because once successfully relocated, they were instructed to relocate themselves again, after I'd left. This was to insure that when I finally gave myself to Atlas in the end, my knowledge of them could not be used to find them should Atlas have seen through my ruse and sought them out. Either he didn't, and I went into stasis, or he did, and chose to let them go for the same reason he took me in... "

-He pushed to his feet and pointed at Achilles- "If I hadn't come to claim you for this little 'mission' and had the sign off sanction of the newly appointed 'sovereign', within a month or less from now you'd be an outlaw, or dead. And you ..." -he turned to Wepwawet- "you and your caste would be relegated to glorified janitor, at best, or rotting in a hole somewhere just like Atlas... "

-he held up the crystal again- "I have no personal history, or knowledge of these people... you two perhaps do. Together, we can salvage something the Titans left behind that Atlas didn't make himself, and have something in our possession the Seven do not. Some weapon or technology that will tip the scales back into our favor. We know for sure they will not kill Atlas right away, but we all know, they won't hold him forever. Eventually they will kill him, when the Empire is consolidated and firmly ousted from Atlas' influence."

-looking between them he pocketed the crystal- "This will be our guinea pig... when we find something we can test it's effectiveness on him... until such time as I bring him out, the only thing that will have passed for Gula is his walk through that archway ... no time will have passed for him, and he won't have any clue what's going on..." -he held out his hand, palm up, evenly between the two warriors- "Are you with me in this?"

-After a brief hesitation, Wepwawet's red and black gauntlet rose to rest palm up in Ares' out stretched hand, his low demonic tone rumbling- "For Atlas... and to remove the insolent from power... this is not an alliance, but I will follow until such time as Atlas is freed, and restored..."

Achilles leans his staff against the bulkhead as he frowns and says,”You play at a dangerous game War God, your cunning and skill are known to me and the galaxy, but the “Seven”? Achilles shakes his head and looking at the crystal in Ares hand says,”The “Seven” are truly living Gods, their powers separately, can bring worlds to their knees, and slay entire armies with a thought, but together they are a force unequaled. Your trick on Gula will have nothing but negative consequences, but at the same time saving Atlas must be the priority.”

Achilles moves past Ares to look at the view screen, Achilles folds his arms over his chest as he says,”I know the “Seven” to well, I was the Second Prime of Atlas when the “War of the Seven” began, my mentor, I believe you knew him Ares, Meritain? He was the loyalist of warriors to Atlas, he was best of us, a true embodiment of a First Prime, but the “Seven” warped and twisted his mind, until he finally broke. Meritain turned his back on everything he ever believed at the whim of the “Seven” and none of us here are immune to their powers, IF there is something hidden out there that can give us the edge then consider me apart of this operation.” Achilles turns and grabbing his staff from the bulkhead looks over his shoulder and says,”And may Atlas help you if the “Seven” should get wise to what is going before we find theses devices.....

*Time Dilation Chamber*

Wrath sat on his knees and stared at the grotesque figure of the once-mighty Lord Atlas. The Titan's face was contorted in pain and exertion as he simultaneously fought the pain of the spikes and weight of the boulder. To Wrath, the moment was frozen in time. He could simply sit there for hundreds of years before the old brute even moved an inch. A sharp pain suddenly darted through his mind and he shut his eyes and gritted his teeth to cloud it. Metal squeals entered his ears and he opened his eyes to see the chamber's walls were bent and broken...he had lost control for a second. He sat there in an attempt to calm his mind until a woman broke his peace.

"My brother, you should be resting after your display today." Lady Lust stood behind him wearing nothing but a silk robe. Her male servants, clad in only pants, stood on the other side of the chamber with her various trinkets. "Don't make your underlings worry about your health, we all see how it turned out for Father." She flashed her eyes and sat down beside Wrath to lean against him. The robe slipped slightly around her shoulders to reveal her supple skin.

"I am fine, sister." Wrath's growl carried itself across the pair's contact, causing goosebumps to appear on Lust's skin. She fought the subconscious shiver of fear and gave her brother a wide smile.

"What is our next plan of action, my dear brother? I believe Thoth has grown anxious..."

"He will have blood soon enough. Tell the fleet to finish conquering the worlds of Apollo, and send Envy and Sloth to Anar'ea to discuss an alliance with Quetesh and Khnum. Send Pride and Lucifer to our uncle Prometheus...he knows too much about the Empire to become an enemy." Lady Lust nodded in agreement and gave him a slight kiss on the shoulder before standing up.

"And what of Greed?"

"Tell him that he may pillage as he sees fit."

"I see...I will send a dozen slave girls to your quarters, dear brother, you really do need to rest." She tightened the robe around her shoulders and turned to leave, but was caught by an invisible hand around her waist. A flash of fear accompanied joy in the back of her mind as the hand slid her across the floor and into the arms of her brother. He undid the strap of fabric around her robe and let the flimsy fabric hit the ground without a sound.

"I...tire...of slave girls." Lady Lust turned to face her brother and kissed him deeply.

"As do I, my sweet brother..."

A thunderous crash echoed in the grand hallways of the Sphere's main palace as the main doors were thrown wide open. Pride's armored boots fell one by one. They drowned out the tiny pattering of feet by servants and guards attending to the royal prince. He brushed aside them all and demanded to see his brother Wrath. Noticing Pericles attending to matters of state with a gathering of generals and priests, he approached the conniving administrator.

"Where is my brother?" Pride said. Pericles waved off the surrounding crowd.

"Which one?" he said in a dismissive tone. To Pride, it appeared as though Pericles was more interested in studying the slave girls than the military allotments. With but a thought, Pride lifted Pericles six feet off the ground and flipped him so that his head was towards Pride's boots.

"Do not toy with me, oh corrupt one," Pride growled back. "We put up with you, not the other way around..."

"He is in his quarters," stammered Pericles. A short snort of acceptance was all he gained from Pride, and quickly the Priest was thrown across the room and into a gaggle of slaves.

"No doubt with sister," Pride muttered to himself.

***

"What is it!" exclaimed Wrath as a guard knocked on his door. He sat up straight in his bed, blood and perfume choking the air. A few body parts lay scattered around the floor and a body-less head perching on the end of the bed. The door creaked open slightly and Pride entered. "Ah, brother...what news do you bring me?"

Pride knelt on the ground and bowed his head to Wrath, eyes focused on the floor, on his lies. He ignored the remnants of the blood orgy that had recently taken place.

"I bring you good news from our uncle Prometheus. He extends the olive branch of peace and wishes only to aid the Empire."

"And you believed him?" asked Wrath. "No wonder you lost so many times in Pegasus...he will betray us, you know."

"I realize this, brother," Pride replied as he stood. His golden armor clanked with each straightening of his muscular form, eyes flashing the same hue to make his point clear. "Which is why I planted a tracking beacon to piggyback on his own AI's subroutine. Wherever his flagship goes, we will know."

"How very dull," Lust purred as she wove her way through the mangle of body parts and silk sheets. Her naked form was drenched in crimson fluid, hair matted but still shining. She smiled wide as she locked eyes with Pride and beckoned for him to join her in the bed. "Come join me brother, you need to relax..."

Pride shook off the mental fog that pervaded his mind but returned the smile.

"If but I could, lovely sister, but I must meet with Commander Thoth to ensure the fleet is prepared for an offensive. I bid you both farewell."

He left the pair to their squeals of delight and wondered if the slave population was enough to satisfy the likes of Wrath, Lust, and Pericles...
