Thrasekion

Planetary Image

Background

Thrasekion is a Gaia-class planetoid circling a K-class main sequence star. As the star is the central pivot of the Three Fates cluster, Thrasekion was chosen to be the capitol of the fledgling Thrasekion League. The planet has a single Pangaea-like continent, with several dozen large island chains surrounding it. Along the eastern shoreline the capitol city Kleisoura was founded to house the majority of the population; the fremen cities of Tabr, Alia, and Arrakeen lay inward along the rolling landscape of the central plains. The mighty river Souhas is the lifeblood of these cities, winding its way from the Kybos mountains and through the plains until it empties into the ocean alongside Kleisoura. Though the planet was hit by several direct qalarnok rail blasts, the radiation damage has been contained and attempts to revitalize the areas are underway.

Main Cities

As noted, there are four main cities located on Thrasekion:

Kleisoura
Population: 15.67 million
Urbanization: 80% within the direct confines of the city, few living in "suburbs"
Notable Locales:
Crash site of the Gregoryi during the "Fremen Revolt," is listed as the first true monument of Kleisoura.
Osiris Tower, seat of government sitting atop the central hill in the city. Has been rebuilt following the civil war.
Matriarch's Beacon, a lighthouse built on the shoreline to commemorate those killed by Kaeth.

Tabr
Population: 589,502
Urbanization: 60% within the walls of the city
Notable Locales:
Residence of Jut'alei; due to his esteemed position, his once-tranquil house now has been walled around, with a heavy shield generator on at all times underneath.
Sietch Council, where fremen leaders meet to discuss pressing issues.

Alia
Population: 105,890
Urbanization: 54%
Notable Locales:
Ailing Dawn, the wreckage of a retired Xital-class cruiser transformed into the headquarters of the marines.

Arrakeen
Population: 4.16 million
Urbanization: 89%
Notable Locales:
Varangos, training grounds for the anariathoi.

Haevris

Planetary Image

Background

The crowning jewel of Kualpuch society. The lifeblood of knowledge for a thousand civilizations. A beacon of hope to a new republic. All these are used to describe Haevris, but none truly captures what the tiny moon means to its people. Though covered mostly by water, the only landmass worth being called a continent contains within it the immense Library. All knowledge--works of art, genetic code, literature--is placed within these hallowed walls, just as the very first Matriarch commanded. Though the memories of millions have been lost due to the Fall and the Fremen Revolt, the multitude of librarians are working day and night to catalogue not only the knowledge being produced by Thrasekion, but those of Ryais and Kypros. Though the library's tower extends for almost a mile into the sky, a testament to Kualpuch engineering, the bulk of the library is located underground. There, one will find the crashed remnants of the Ark; even deeper, the ark-drive that brought their ancestors to Kualpuch. The drive is capable of many more launches, and is prepared to jump away at the slightest sign of defeat. Above all else, the Library must not fall into enemy hands.

Irreverent Zealotry

Station Image

Background

In the aftermath of the dual invasion by the Titan Empire and the Malecathi, the remnants of Irreverent Zealotry shipyard and the wreckage of dozens of other stations were pieced together to form a defensive bracket around Haevris. It is made up of one main hub, with four smaller, though still imposing, stations connected by tubes. These tubes contain raw materials for the immense shipyards located in each hub, in addition to the various laboratories and living quarters for those living in orbit. As many as half a million souls live and work within the confines of the station. All in all, it stretched for over one hundred kilometers, though only a fraction of that is actually filled.

Due to the advanced robotics equipment and abundance of raw materials, it is possible to construct one cruiser per hub every two months. This has allowed Thrasekion to rapidly resurrect its fleet, though the entire station was only just recently completed. Thus, the fleet remains relatively small compared to its former glory.
