OK, newbie question so bear with me.......

Does front dig mean unlocking the rear (free-rolling) or Locking rear (dragging) ??

Ive seen some unlocking slider type, but it seems locking up is more useful to me

How can i set up a AX10 to lock the rear without something like the R2 tranny which seems to have issues

Dig generally refers to locking the rear wheels

Disconnect is usually allowing the rear wheels to free roll.

Both can be accomplished with a driveshaft slider mechanism. Both have their advantages, but for what it's worth, Austin (gatekeeper) runs disconnect only (last I checked).

The ORCRC guys had a good article on building a dig setup...might check their forums or RCC for more info.

I don't know of anybody that sells them premade. Here is a a good how to on rccrawler. It gives you the option to freewheel and lock up I believe. http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showthread....ight=socket+dig
