internal springs; are they really worth it?

Yes, if you need the clearance than yes, but you will loose up-travel.

Internal shock springs are generally used in Droop suspension setups. They are used to keep the shock compressed, you install them under the piston. Thick shock oil is also used. Adding the springs will cause you to lose some down travel.

You are talking about something like the High-Lift shocks. Using the spring above the piston to keep the shock extended. You lose up travel.

I am talking about adding internal springs for droop. You put the spring under the piston to keep the shock compressed. You lose down travel.

Both are internal shock springs used in 2 different ways. You mentioned 1 way so I mentioned the other. :rockn:

ohhh, ok, i get it now. sorry bout that. if you do do a droop internal, i dont think a stock axle has the weight to droop it down. id suggets wheel weights and the battery pack on the axle
