get you an old weedeater, and tear into the starter. There, you will find spring metal for the coil. [correct me if im wrong] Then take and cut off more length than you need, get a torch and get the metal red hot and bent into a neat circle. Then when that is completed to both sides of all four of your leaf springs either drill straight through the spring and make some sort of cap to go on the top, or make a sort of clamp for the axle. Then get an old bycicle chain and use the links for your shackles. Remember to leave the shackle nearest the end of the chassis move free and the rear one to stay still, that way you will have room for your spring to move while under compression. OR you can sneak the leaf springs and shackles out of a hi lift kit. |
