You only missed the rpm bulkheads and front shock mount. It came with a rear rpm mount already ;)

Had some fun with it today and found out it floats... LOL

Here is a shot of how it looked at the end of the day:

Posted Image

My thought so far:

-Need to tighten the slipper a little
-Need FlexTek arms
-Will need a new titanium skid for it eventually
-Will need a new front bumper eventually

Overall it is a blast to drive and watch. I may gear it down a hair, but it has a good balance of speed and control. The tires and wheels seem to do awesome. The foams are a little soft feeling for high speed use, but are spot on for slower speed traction. I think this truck is going to be a lot of fun in the long run.

Feel free to post your opinions and suggestions as always. ;)

Cool.

Out trucks where pretty close, I have the same blue body and 7 cell CBP batteries, mine are 4000mah versions though. They are pretty fast using the 7 cell packs aren't they.

I would check your drive shafts, I broke one at the creek because an e-clip fell out.

Did you get the shocks from the bay? I have thought about buying them.

I have a vid of mine in the vid section, its probably on the second page.

it does run pretty good on twin 7 cell packs.

I will check the clips tomorrow when I clean it off. I need to replace the front skid on it as well as an upper a-arm as well. I am just trying to do my research on it since the Emaxx is a totally different design from what I am use too. Thanks for the heads up on that though!

I did get them off ebay. I also got some replacement parts in case they break. I have all the spring rate sets except the firms. Right now it has the extra firms on it and it does well with the extra weight of the twin 7 cell packs. It would be hard to bottom it out for sure.

Any other weak spots I need to look at?

Well heck. You have me looking on the Traxxas forum again.

I did find this mod about the steering. You may check it out. http://monster.traxxas.com/showthread.php?t=403852. I just looked at mine and it has some slop so I may do the mod.

I just put the batteries on charge, gonna try to run it tomorrow.

That is a good idea on the steering. I do have a little play in mine that I noticed yesterday...

As far as shocks go I hear traxxas bigbores, Proline Powerstrokes, or buggy shocks are the best. My prolines are a pretty tight fit and barely rub the driveshafts when at full droop.

Are you running stock gearing in yours?

Looks good, I like the losi tires on it. Mine needs some serious work to be driveable again.

Im running stock gearing.

What is your run-time on the 4000's with that gearing? I am thinking about gearing my down a hair. I swear the losi's on the maximizer wheels are lighter than the stock set, but I think I may get a little longer run time if I gear it down a hair.

I drove for about 15min of hard driving before braking a rear shock tower today. I used about 3300mah. I would say 18-20 is possible with the 4000mah batts using stock gearing.

I guess I need to upgrade to the RPM towers.

I am still charging my batteries from all my vehicles from yesterday... LOL

That sounds about right then, i am getting about 20 to 25 out of mine. I just wanted to make sure that was ballpark.

I like my rpm towers. I have always had good luck with their products.

Are you still running stock shocks?

Mine is bone stock.

I know you talked about gearing, have you looked into the 2 speed yet? I know it adds 1st gear and top speed will stay the same. It should open up more gearing options.

I just got back from Hobby Town with some 16t pinions. 18 is stock. I figured that should put me back down to stock speed since my tires are a little larger. I will put them in tomorrow and give a report on my "seat of the pants" feelings about the smaller pinion.

I had two speed tranny's in my Revo's, 4-tec, and Jato and it was nice for Nitro, but I am of the opinion that the simpler and lighter the better. I am also looking hard at the G4 chassis from Gorrilla. Lighter, lower COG, and much stronger than stock... but who knows. I would like to see a two speed go before I bought it either way. I am trying to keep this truck on a budget so I won't change anything at least until it breaks.

Have you had any reoccurring breaks and weak points on yours?

:rockn:

Yesterday was the first time driving mine since January. It was also my first part to break.

Let us know how the pinions do.
