Jason, I blame this on you... I figured I would spend some of my birthday money on a new rc experience...

I ran about 1/2 a pack through it last night making sure all the controls were working. Never got it over 6" or so off of the kitchen floor. I still need to increase the gain on the gyro and adjust the mixing between the throttle/rudder/gyro to make it a little easier to fly. I was looking hard at this ones bigger brother in there, but didn't feel like throwing down $480 on one yet. Maybe after Christmas I will once I get a lot of practice with this one. The guy said the bigger ones are actually easier to fly since they have a little more mass under them and are not so touchy. But he said it is possible to learn on the one I got, but to just take my time with it. He also said if I can fly this one, I should be able to fly about anything...

It came with all the training stuff as well as the stuff to do inverted flight. So it should last me for a while. I doubt I will ever be able to over drive it. LOL :retard:

The reason I didn't get the easy to fly counter rotating blade one was that I wanted to learn how to fly real controls right off of the start. The challenge makes it fun to me. :D

I am feeling a 'copter get together at my house soon... I have a nice grass field in front of the house B)

Got yours running yet Chris?

True, but don't expect much out of inverted flight, maybe a hover. The fixed pitch tail rotor just doesn't hold as good as a variable pitch. 3D is a VERY loose term these days....

Start off by just hovering and keeping the tail pointed at you. Once you've mastered that, switch to keeping one of the sides pointed at you until you can do all sides including nose in. Trying to do forward flight before learning this is almost a gauranteed crash. :soap: :D

Yeah, I have 3 coax's rite now, a CX2, Lama V3, and mCx. I just ordered my honey bee fixed pitch that should be here monday. I hear thats a great single blade bird to learn on. If anyone wants to try and take on the rigors of flying, you can borrow my V3 lama. All I ask is you repair the parts if you break them. Blades are like 8 bucks for 4 of them. Its real easy to fly though. Very hands off. :ph43r:

i guess if you crash or the blades hit something they are designed to come apart?

ive had a blade cp for awhile now. it is very touchy, especially outside in just the slightest breeze. its taken me a couple years now to get comfortable enough to cruise arpund the house with no problems. good luck. have fun buying new blades...they are pretty much worthless after you ruin the airfoil. balsa...go figure.

They arent really designed to break apart, it just kinda happens when they smack into something and shatter.

Blades for the CP get expensive fast. Check ebay, I think you can get like 10 pairs of blade for 20 or 25 dollars.
