i wired the winch up with a CC BEC and it works great! its not quite as strong as the 645mg servo winch on the toyota, but it should be strong enough. Posted Image it didnt look right without a red "W" on it, so i painted one on with a toothpick  Posted Image |

do you have this winch setup to be controlled from the radio or do you have to touch the truck to use it? |

it works off the 3 pos. switch on my radio. put the plug from the winch harness into the 3rd channel spot of your reciever. cut the tamiya plug off the other side of the winch harness and wire that to your CC BEC and plug the BEC into the BATT spot on your reciever. works like a champ  |

for $30, the winch is awesome! not quite as strong a a 645 servo winch, but still fairly strong i guess. rooster and turd saw it today and i think they both like it. it works pretty good and i would recommend everyone getting one  |

From your description you have the red/black input for the BEC hooked directly to the motor wires for the winch, and the 3 pin plug plugged into the receiver. Do you also have the red/black hooked up to the battery??Posted Image |

its kinda hard to explain... the winch wiring harness consists of a red/black coming from the winch and it goes to the circuit board with the push button on it. coming out of the circuit board is a 3 pin receiver plug that plugs in to the 3rd channel on your receiver and a red/blk with a tamiya plug for power. cut off the tamiya plug and i soldered it to the red/blk on the BEC. connect your 3 pin receiver plug from the other end of the BEC to the "BATT" port on your receiver and your done. its very straight forward. only down side i see is you cant run your other servo(s) off the BEC. now that i think about it, the BEC is working in reverse of how it usually works... does that make any sense?? |

Thats why I asked. If you unplug the ESC from your receiver does the winch still work? |
