The marketplace was filled with the hussle and bussle of every day activity- Sales, be it clothing, foods, slaves, or ships. Food vendors selling their goods- all of the smells mixed into a single strange aroma that, initially smelt a little unusual though it wasn't over all unpleasant. Shops and stalls were on every corner, tents pitched up along the side of the road. This was the sort of place you wanted to watch your pockets- and closely. The planet was hot and dry, with water being a precious resource that could be used to bargain for nearly anything your heart desired, and the more pure it was, the higher the price it would bring in. Celestia Eight was not a suitable name for this planet now, though it had been over hundreds of years ago when it was first settled. It was once lush, filled with natural water sources and oasis- but not anymore. Sand storms were a constant problem on the little planet that served as a minor port for Ships. While the planet itself appeared in poverty, you could find spare parts galore here, and the marketplace was the perfect place, filled with 'junk yards' to find the parts you needed if you were in a pinch. Watch out for the sellers, though, they'll give you cut rate parts for cut rate prices- having a mechanic aboard your ship was always ideal though, anyway. Wandering through these streets was a young redheaded man, a human. His skin was fair enough to burn easily, but he had a hood pulled up to help shade him a little, and a cloak pulled around his shoulders. He was average height and probably around his early to mid-twenties. Still young by most people's standards. He was out, unbeknownst to his guardian, and exploring the marketplace in the minimal time he had. Jamie. |
