[Prologue: On each occasion James Toreno has not only risen to greatness, but remained there untouchable. In his entire Rise to Greatness career, no one has ever stopped him. 2-0 in 2 appearances. Not only that, but all of the two matches have left James at a turning point in his career. How much this match with Riddick will alter his career is unknown, but one can only believe that this isn’t the type of thing Toreno was looking for in a return. He is usually respected, usually honored, and usually treated as one of the upper tier superstars in SCW. Adam Riddick is nowhere close. It’s an embarrassment to the foundation he’s built himself, and right now he’s just looking for respect.] [The scene opens to a few video clips of James Toreno’s highlights. Beating Greg Cherry, Mono Loco, and Jay Gold. Holding every male title outside of the US Championship. It ends to the view of him posing on the turnbuckle and it slowly fades out. The screen clicks off. James Toreno tosses the remote to his side and leans back into his recliner. Obviously deep in thought, he sits for a few moments collecting it all together.] James Toreno: This is like…a joke. This isn’t even fun, and most of the time I’m here it is. I dominate. I wipe everyone in my path out. I am a highly achieving superstar in this business. And this…is how they choose to treat me. With Adam Riddick at the biggest event of the year. I admit my timing was a bit off. Plenty of the guys on the roster were already preoccupied with their own business but Jesus Christ… Cid got luckier with Mayhem. Seriously, Mayhem might propose more of a challenge to me. Yeah, I said it, the guy who just got raped. To look at what I once was and what I am now, the only thing I can be is disappointed. The worst thing is it’s not even ME! If anything, I’m better than I was! The only thing different was that I got a push. I used Explicit Content to vault me into stardom. I took care of the rest, and the whole plan worked to perfection. Then I lost my US Title, and it seemed like everything crumbled from there. James Toreno: I disappeared for a while, basically took myself off the map. Honestly I wanted nothing to do with the company anymore. Every week with the title around my waist became more and more of a struggle. I stayed tough for a while, but eventually I just gave out. Enough was enough. I planned bigger and better things for myself. They didn’t pan out as well. So wouldn’t you know I found myself right back in the middle of Supreme Championship Wrestling. My home away from home perhaps. Believe me, I wanted nothing more than to stay away, but this time money is what drove me back. Figures. James Toreno: I hyped myself up for the Battle Royal…and I came up short. Does anyone remember who did take home the title last year? None other than Adam Riddick, of course… Still, I have no reason to fight you. Like I said on Breakdown, I used you as a tool for my return, to show people how weak this company is without me... Not only did lucky me make an impact, but I also got this glorious pay per view match given to me. I came out a real winner in this situation huh? However, a year ago he got his title shot. I got a Tag Title shot. That wasn’t what I wanted. Adam Riddick suddenly became something greater than he ever was by winning the Battle Royal and was going to try for the biggest achievement there was to gain at the biggest event there was for the company. James Toreno: Needless to say, Adam Riddick failed in his attempts. Cid Turner beat everyone involved in the match. In his only opportunity ever to do something worth his space on earth, he performed miserably. I know for a fact I would have given it my all, and like always, came out on top. It was my chance to become great. Instead I had to carry Josh Hudson’s load and beat 12 men in the same night. Riddick couldn’t beat 3? As I will continue to point out, the man is a failure in all aspects of the word. James Toreno: Okay, so he has to rebound from what happened at Rise to Greatness right? Well… Sid Kipling VS Adam Riddick was supposed to be his easy win on his way back to the top. I don’t even need to let you know what happened. In my mind, it wasn’t an upset, because the two of them are quite equal in talent, but in terms of our little SCW ranking system, Adam Riddick’s defeat was huge. I thought my downfall was bad. He went from SCW Title Number One Contender to below the worst jobber on the roster in the span of half a month. So despite what you say of my style of wrestling say I am the superior wrestler, man, icon that you will never even come close to. I never go bad. It’s the people who go bad, not ME. You on the other hand always screw up for yourself. This is where our differences lie Riddick. You’re also terrible and I’m amazing but that would just be stating the obvious. You think you are one of the greatest while I simply am the greatest. James Toreno: You think what you did last week was an impact? You made friends with the guy who used to train me. Great. What’d you think he’d give you some little pointers or something? That should be the last thing you need with all of the “studying” that you do. Listen Riddick, I don’t need to watch one clip of your history to beat you. If you feel you have to for your match against me, then believe me I’m flattered…but you don’t need to flatter me. I’m already aware of my quickness, and I already know you’re sitting behind tape trying to find out what makes me me. The thing is, it’s way too complicated to capture on camera.. James Toreno is James Toreno and no one will ever be me. There are plenty who wish to and I don’t really blame them, but that doesn’t take away the fact that it’ll never happen. Getting involved in Winters and Evans’ situation really was none of your business. Taking Winters out was Chad and I’s plan to finally get rid of that prick, and right on queue you try to get your revenge on me. Well I’ve got news for you. It’s going to take a lot more than a few dents in a steel chair to end my undefeated Rise to Greatness record. [He takes a drink of water to clear his throat.] James Toreno: You think the Underground Championship is enough to impress me Riddick? I’ve held the belt one time more than you have, so that’s one more thing I have over you. So when will you come to face it that you truly are my underling. There is nothing that makes this match interesting, nothing exciting at all. If you think my moves are weak, you must have been a terrible student. Go back into your archives Riddick, watch what I did in my matches with Mono Loco, the Tag Turmoil last year, and basically every one during my Underground reign. What you’re going to be is a stain on my record that I even had to deal with you. I mean this could be worse than Ryan Knight, and anyone associated with SCW knows how bad that is. My RTG experience should have flair, it should be something huge, and instead…it’s this. Well, it’s unfortunately unavoidable so no matter what I do it will be me and you in that ring. All I can say is I better a get a huge raise after this, because I don’t think I can stand anymore middle card bullshit. James Toreno: Now I realize I may have been a bit harsh on you Riddick, especially with the way you were so complementing of my talents…and I know many of you are tuned in right now. So I’ve planned a special little montage for all of Riddick’s fans and for Riddick especially. Enjoy. [The scene opens to James Toreno wearing a tight muscle shirt. Large cotton balls are seen overflowing from all areas where his shirt opens as to show Riddick’s muscle definition. He walks awkwardly towards a set up play house and a girl, obviously playing Kassie.] James Toreno (Playing Riddick): Baby, I broke my butt! That darn Caleb Andrews really did a number on me! Woman (Playing Kassie): What did you just say!? Listen, you know I need my sex so don’t be meddling with any more men Adam! James Toreno: Kassie, it’s not like that at all! I love women! Believe me I wouldn’t— Woman: Huh? Honey I meant to stop wrestling! James Toreno: Oh, right. Obviously. Woman: Well let’s get you to the doctors as soon as possible! James Toreno: Right…But where’s your mother? [Another woman walks into the room. This one is much older looking than the first.] Old Woman (Playing Kassie’s Mother): Adam, what’s this I done just heard about you breaking that buttocks? You sure know my Kassie needs her sex don’t you!? James Toreno: Wait guys… What does my ass have anything to do with sex? Woman: Well honey, of course you know how you like it, what a dumb question! [The new scene is still from the montage, now in the doctor’s office.] Doctor: Well Adam I think you and Kassie here can both be excited about this one. Your buttocks is fine son. Maybe a bit bruised, you might want to stay out of that wrestling for a bit though. Woman: That’s great news! Isn’t it hunny? Hunny!? James Toreno: Oh. Yeah… I thought for a minute there you said I can’t wrestle. Doctor: Right, for about a week or so. Woman: That’s great news! Adam, I know you were talking about how quick James was, and how he was the greatest superstar ever, and how you were so afraid to face him. Now you don’t have to! Wow what a great day ! I love great days! James Toreno: Doc, wrestling’s all I got. Even if James is the best, greatest, quickest, most agile, sexy (James grins), amazing man to ever walk the face of the earth I still have to face him! Doctor: I’m sorry Adam, I just don’t know what to tell you my friend. Well…see you guys later! [The doctor walks out.] James Toreno: Kassie, that’s my manhood. You know what I think I’ll do? I can make it all dramatic and everything like my butt is really hurt and then just surprise everyone and still wrestle! It’ll be like I’m a hero even because my butt will be hurt when I lose. That way I can still keep my pride! Woman: Wow Adam! You’re so smart! Maybe I should just stay and be your valvet! James Toreno: Yeah haha! You mean valet though right!? Woman: Right, valvet! James Toreno: … [There’s an awkward silence. James is looking towards the ground confused. He then looks up to the camera and attempts to make a “boyish” smile. He continues for a few moments, and then just looks back to the ground confused.] [Another new scene shows James still playing Riddick and laying back into his recliner.] James Toreno: Wow, this is so great. What would be even better is if— [The woman playing Kassie returns.] James Toreno: Wow this really is such a great day. You were so right baby. Woman: Maybe this will make it even better! [The woman jumps up onto the recliner, placing her knees on each side of his legs. She leans over and kisses him. James grabs a sign as he returns the kiss and holds it out for the camera to see. It reads: “Sorry for how unrealistic this is. I realize this girl is 10 times hotter than Kassie. I would try and be more realistic, but you should have seen the other one. She was like Kassie’s twin. Once again, I apologize for the inconvenience.” He then drops the sign and the woman stops kissing and starts to tease. She starts to slide her finger down his body and tries to slouch to one side and falls. A huge thud echoes throughout the empty room. She gets back up, dusts herself off, and begins to walk away. Then she turns.] Woman: It’s still me! [She smiles and continues walking only to stumble down one of the steps towards the downstairs area. This time she catches herself, giggles and walks away.] James Toreno: Ah she’s always right. It’s still her. Damnit, I almost forgot for a minute. Renegade out! [The scene returns to James laying on his recliner. This time he’s no longer acting. He grins and turns toward the camera.] James Toreno: Ahahahaha… Every time I watch it gets even—oh. I didn’t see you there. Ah fuck it… Adam you can’t even tell me that wasn’t funny. I know there’s some kind of sense of humor in that big body of yours. Actually, probably not. Either way, it’s more proof that I’m better than you. I don’t know how else I can prove it to you at this point. If you don’t understand by now, I guess defeat will be the only thing that does do it. See you at the big show Riddick, I’ll try and keep it as entertaining as possible. If you can avoid being yourself for 20 minutes, maybe I can make it a decent show, but I think that’s asking too much from you. I know you can’t hang with me. It’s not your fault Adam, it’s theirs. Blame SCW. They’ve dragged me down for as long as I’ve been here, and the only reason I stay is to continue showing them they’re wrong too. I enjoy competition from anyone, too bad this year I won’t be getting any. [James finally grins once more.] Fade to Black. |
