Weigh-In Results:
HW: Champion Randy Couture (228.5 lbs.) vs. Gabriel Gonzaga (252 lbs.)
LW: Alberto Crane (155 lbs.) vs. Roger Huerta (155 lbs.)
WW: Georges St. Pierre (170 lbs.) vs. Josh Koscheck (170 lbs.)
LW: Joe Stevenson (155 lbs.) vs. Kurt Pellegrino (155 lbs.)
MW: Patrick Cote (184.5 lbs.) vs. Kendall Grove (184 lbs.)
MW: Ryan Jensen (185 lbs.) vs. Thales Leites (188 lbs.)
LH: David Heath (205 lbs.) vs. Renato “Babalu” Sobral (204 lbs.)
HW: Antoni Hardonk (244 lbs.) vs. Frank Mir (255 lbs.)
LW: Marcus Aurelio (155 lbs.) vs. Clay Guida (155 lbs.)

Anyone watching? Any predictions?

I usually never make predictions but I'm bored so here I go:

Guida > Aurelio
Mir > Hardonk
Babalu > Heath
Leites > Jensen
Grove > Cote
Stevenson > Pellegrino
GSP > Kos
Huerta > Crane
Couture > Gonzaga

Couture vs. Gonzaga is the toughest to call for me. Of course, this is assuming no major upsets take place. I can't say it'd be a huge upset if Gonzaga did win, though.

Yeah, Crane took a beating, and so didn't Gonzaga. Gonzaga's nose was horrifying. Couture was simply too much for him.

Right now Cro Cop is booked against Cheick Kongo and Brandon Vera's booked against Tim Sylvia. In my opinion the UFC needs to put Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira in a fight with a top contender (maybe Andrei Arlovski) ASAP, and whichever of those six fighters has the most impressive showing gets the next shot at Couture while the other two winners face off for the following title opportunity.

Also, I hope Serra retains against Hughes in December so we can see GSP smash him once and for all and get his belt back in the process.

yeah GSP definitely deserves a rematch for his belt against Serra.

and i wish Arlovski was a better fighter, he's got a cool look to him and when he was champ, it was quite entertaining

Arlovski used to destroy people. I don't know what happened to him.

Here's something interesting I learned about the PPV that wasn't aired:

Quote:

The true low point of the evening belonged to Sobral, an MMA and UFC veteran who should absolutely know better.

Sobral exchanged words with opponent David Heath at yesterday’s weigh-ins — with the two light heavyweights going nose-to-nose before being broken up by security officials. Sobral apparently carried those hard feelings over to tonight’s undercard bout.

After opening a deep gash on Heath’s forehead, Sobral transitioned into a submission choke. However, when Heath tapped out, Sobral refused to release the choke. Even referee Steve Mazzagatti couldn’t break the hold. Only after Heath went unconscious did Sobral release his grip.

In a post-fight interview, Sobral admitted he held the choke extra long because he was ticked at Heath for cursing at him during the weigh-ins. The crowd quickly turned on the fighter, booing him mercilessly.

As much as I like Babalu, he deserves a big fine for that.

Edit: Make that a $25,000 fine :o That's one expensive choke.

Here's a gif also:
