Alright, I've caved in and bought Bioshock. I haven't completed Perfect Dark either...I'm a bad man :(

However, I got a new job so it's a present to myself!!

Yeah...along with the new jacket, 2 pairs of tracksuit bottoms, astroturf football/soccer boots and Jay Z CD.

Ummm...go JC..?

I'm tempted to play Bioshock right the hell now, but I've only got about 24 hours sleep in the past week, so I really need to sleep. Hmmm...lol

I resisted temptation and haven't played it yet!

I deserve a fucking medal, I do.

Preferably gold. With "Greatest Man Live" written on it. Cheers. :D

I'm gonna go do that phone interview for the bank, ring my aunt to hopefully tell her I passed, then fill in the form in their website...THEN probably eat...THEEEEEN maybe play Bioshock.

Scrap that, I deserve a PLATINUM medal that reads "I AM THE MOTHERFUCKING MAN" 'cause I just passed the phone interview. I failed it last time - and from there I did 3 months work experience for FREE...if I'd only passed first time around. Damn.

Olek, I expect that medal. If not, I'll burn your house down.

Not really.

You failed a phone interview?

Sorry.. I just didn't know that was possible. I've passed every interview given to me. If it's work experience that they denied you for, then I'll give you a hint.

When they ask the question "What work have you done that directly qualifies you for this job, cause we're to lazy to train your ass"

Answer with a lie.. for my interview on outbound sales, I told them

"Well I have alot of sales confidence, but what I've been working in the last few years is customer service and providing quality products and service to various clients."

What does that have to do with outbound sales? Nothing, but they like the word quality cause most jobs that deal with consumers stress quality is a must have, and even have things you have to say to a customer.

Lie lie lie lie lie.. that's the secret to life.

Lol...I failed 'cause the lady on the phone was having PMS and I didn't understand her.

She was like "when was the last time you gave bad customer service?"

I said "not for a while."

She said "well, approximately"

I said "when I first started where I work now and didn't understand the system"

she said "that's wrong, lets move on."

...

Bitch.

Dude..

dumbass..

argh..

THE CORRECT ANSWER IS "I always give my customers the best satisfaction possible, and if they are upset with anything that I or any other employee has done to them, I will correct it for them."

That implies that you are capable of giving bad customer service, but it's the correct answer because.. you will fix your mistake and learn.

Seriously.. interviews are a series of questions that have multiple choice answers. Pick the right one, guess what.. the correct answer isn't the truth, it's the distorted truth.

You shouldn't be getting a job anyways. You should be sitting at home staring at your TV screen 24/7 until BioShock is complete :lol

BTW... when you DO finish BioShock and DO decide to get a job, get one that doesn't require an interview ;) I've never had to do an interview and I've been working steadily for about 3 years.

1st of all...Speed. You HAD to give a time when you made a mistake. My aunt is a bank manager in another of their branches and she explained how to answer the questions, hense I passed this time.

You have to explain what went wrong, how you remedyed it and how you made the customer feel valued - so that if you make a mistake with Barclays, it's clear that you could improvise and give good customer service. Saying "oh, I've never made a mistake" would probably result with you just having the phone hung up on you :D They need a specific time you made a mistake, then how you made it right again.

Webbie...I said a PLATINUM medal dammit! lol...I still havent played it. I just finished Perfect Dark Zero, now I'm eating dinner...THEN I'll remove the plastic wrapping on Bioshock, pop it in and...probably never leave my Xbox again.

And I did get the job BTW :D

Good.

Now that you've purchased BioShock and removed the plastic wrapping and probably even the security tape inside, I'm gonna be honest with you...

...BioShock's not that great :o

Son of a bitch. I'm going to sell your first born child on ebay!

...actually, the game seems pretty cool. The graphics are sweet as hell and the mirky world is similar to Condemned I guess. In fact, the whole game reminds me of Condemned. Obviously I haven't completed the game yet, but the story seems pretty good too.

So...you can keep your first born. As for your cat though...say bye bye.

Condemned sounds like a bad ass game but there's no way any store around here would carry it (there's one WalMart within a 20 or 30 mile radius and no other stores that sell video games in the area).

Still, though, I've been getting real tired of FPSs and BioShock was able to completely turn that around. There's nothing like seeing a Big Daddy for your first time and being so eager to destroy him but not knowing how, and then eventually gaining the capability to set him on fire and then light him up with some exploding buckshot.

Trust me... you won't be disappointed with it ;)

I'm not man, trust me.

I've never ever been a first person shooter fan, really. I've owned alot of them where I've got them on special offers, in bundles with my consoles or whatever, but they've never sat too well with me. Halo was average to me, Half Life was ok-ish, Red Faction was cool 'cause I'd never played a game where you could break walls (that's become the norm now though) and so on. Deus Ex I liked because it like an RPG-FPS, but I couldn't get into the second D.E at all, no idea why.

Condemned was a pretty good game, I didn't have the drive to finish it because it droned on for me. I missed a chunk of the story, though, so...sorry lol. Do NOT buy it for full price. In the UK I got it for £15 brand new at Christmas, our games normally go for about £40. If you pay the full price in your Walmart (should they stock it) then you're being ripped off...theres bound to be a few special offers on game websites and such that you could look up.

My favourite games have always been 3rd person games. I could probably get into a RPG if the story was engaging enough, but from what I heard, Blue Dragon takes an age to get going (then it turns awesome). I just don't have the time to sit there playing games for hours on end any more.

I'm the same way with FPSs. I always hated them and was opposed to playing them. That was until someone recommend I try Black (and I did, since it was only $30). Since then I've beaten 2-3 FPSs, but I still don't care for them. BioShock's an exception.

Third person shooters are my kinda games. Any of the Metal Gear Solid games, Gears of War, Lost Planet, GRAW2... those are my kinda games. Now if only they could make a third person shooter that's as good as BioShock.

I don't know about it being like Bioshock, but the next Resident Evil will be pretty atmospheric. I'm gonna buy it, seeing as the last one I bought was Nemesis...a long ass time ago when Playstation reigned supreme lol.

@ Blade, Resident Evil 4 was the shit. I'm definitely getting the next one they come out with.

@ Glacier, Saints Row blew dong :o I look forward to GTA4, but SR2's gonna need some HUGE improvements to be entertaining. There's very little that separates SR from GTA.

@ Dynamite, did you know that if you rescue all the Little Sisters instead of harvest them that Tenebaum rewards you (a reward which is worth a lot more than if you were to harvest the Little Sisters)?

1st of all...Saints Row was a good game. The graphics were great, the action was great, the story was pretty good...the ending was terrible, but the game was worth what I paid for it (£25 bitches!) :D

2ndly, I'm waiting for Sr 2, GTA 4, Resident Evil 5, a decent RPG...and yeah, thats about it.

3rd and finally...my Bioschock game has frozen twice since I got it. Damn Xbox 360. First time was on the opening section, so I ddn't lose anything. Second time was at that hotel, where you go to room 7 and find that man and womans corpses on the bed surrounded by pills (if you collect those cassette tapes you hear that their kid was taoekn from them, then that they saw their kid...so, its obvious they couldn't tale seeing their daughter turned into a little sister. I just lost god knows how much playing time, but I'm not gonna explor the areas I already have, I'll just carry on with the story mode.

Alright, I'll throw in a 4th second, 'cause you wouldn't cope without one (alright, that's a lie...I just remembered this) defeating Big Daddys RULE! It's so difficult but so worth it, you get money THEN you get to harvest that Little Sister for Adam or whatever its called. The ones with the guns are more difficult, but with a few lasmids, you can just freeze/shock it then let rip with ammo.

...now for second 5. Great. If you don't harm any little sisters and set them all free, I think you get all (or unlimited) plasmids as a reward. I read somewhere that they recommend harvesting them on your first go through, but then for a bigger challenge try and rescue them instead.

I'm still on my first run through the game and I've yet to harvest a single Little Sister. I don't know if you eventually get all of the plasmids this way, but I do know that Tenebaum more than makes up for what you lose in Adam when rescuing them instead of harvesting them.

Also, you think fighting Big Daddies is fun now? Wait until you get some better ammo, upgraded weapons and even better plasmids.

BTW, when you freeze a Big Daddy and start blasting him you're mostly just cleaning the ice off of him. They don't take much damage when they're froze.

AND... the Big Daddies get a lot bigger and tougher (and funner to destroy :)).

SPOILER (what Tenebaum rewards you with if you rescue Little Sisters: Tenebaum will have one of the sisters leave a teddy bear at the nearest Gatherer's Garden for you which always contains atleast 200 Adam as well as a few other things. She does this, I believe, in every level (every 2-3 Little Sisters). I don't know how much Adam you miss out on when rescuing instead of harvesting, but I'm sure the 200 Adam Tenebaum gives you makes up for whatever you lose. Not to mention all the ammo, money, and whatever else she may give you. 200 Adam is a certain, but everything else in the teddy bear is random.

I dunno how far you are man, but there are two versions of the Big Daddys. I'm at the point where you're in the grassy areas. Dude has just turned that shit on that kills the plants, thus cutting the oxygen out of Rapture. The plasmids I have are the electric one, the fire one, the ice one, the enrage one, the cyclone one, that one where u make the cameras and guns attack them.

I could give the proper names, like incinerate...but I didn't. Lazy ass mofo.

Taking them on is alot of fun, but the "Rosie" ones don't seem to carry alot of money to buy back all of the lost medkits that you use fighting them.

BTW...do you actually get punished for dying? I don't seem to lose ammo or anything, so where is the bad side to it? you get ressurected one hundred yards where you died, so its hardly a mission getting back to where you were.

You actually haven't reached the bigger Big Daddies yet, lol. They're called Elite Bouncers. Once you start fighting them ones it gets entertaining :)

BTW... Saints Row is still garbage :o How do you guys get any enjoyment out of that game? Aside from a few minor details, it's the exact same game as any of the GTAs. It has a few things in it that's better than GTA but also a lot of things that are worse, especially the way they shove all of the "tough guy/gangsta" dialogue down our throats. That was ridiculously annoying in my opinion.

I guess, though, if you still like GTA you'll like SR. I must be the only one tired of the whole GTA/SR style of games  Hopefully GTA4 will be a big step from San Andreas.
