Let's be honest about some of the basics of this game: 1) No referee in the ring, meaning you can't do a ref bump. 2) Limit of 4 people used at any given time, meaning you can't have a match where 20 people run-in. Why are they even bothering calling it a TNA game? |

The sad thing is.. I will most likely rent it. And it will be horrible and limited and then the fan boys will cry out "THIS GAME ROCKS" and call me retarded for preferring the SVR series over it, even though Mcmahon has raped that. *longs for the good ol' days of AKI and THQ* |

Visually, the game looks fantastic. Don't get me wrong. Until I get a sense of gameplay, the most I can do is judge what has been released (as I did above). I also found out why it's a TNA game. Apparently, Career Mode has you waking up in a Mexican hospital suffering from amnesia and following a plastic surgery. The player then returns to the TNA ring to try and remember his past and build his future. In other words, it's the Young and the Angle. |

Yeah, the PS2 version is supposed to come out in May, unless it gets pushed back. I'll rent it to see if they put any of TNA's awesome moves in, but not much else. Don't waste your time with SDvR or iMPACT!, anyway. PS2 already has the best wrestling game available right now, and that's Fire Pro Wrestling Returns. A lot of people give it bull because it's not as 'realistic-looking' as the others, but if you're buying a wrestling game just for the graphics anyway, then you're screwing yourself over. In terms of addiction, gameplay, move-sets (try over 4,000 moves, all unlocked from the beginning), and being able to customize and edit your character's personality and in-ring strategy down to the last detail, you cannot beat FPR. It's the closest thing you'll find to a "No Mercy" or AKI game these days. |

I ordered FPR on Ebay. Now I play the waiting game. Or I'll just play SVR08 til it comes. |

Should have ordered it from Buy.com like I did. Only cost me 10$, and 15$ total for a five-day rush delivery. (I actually got in in four). Like I said, if it's just graphics you're looking for, you're going to be sorry; but if you want some solid gameplay that takes time to learn, and a game that can entertain you for more than a couple of weeks? ...This is the one. |

Really? ... I could have sworn I heard somewhere that Canada was a lot like Oregon here in the States, as in no sales or additional taxes or anything like that. Plus, isn't the Canadian and American dollar value pretty much equal these days? ...Thought I heard that a couple months ago, too. Figured it must be true, since a lot of the Canadian guests to the Resort have gotten into arguments with us for not taking Loons and the like. |

Canadian dollar to AMerican dollar is 1.05 we pwn your ass right now in terms of money. Except, I go to the states and you ignorant americans claim that your money is still 25 cents more then us. Even when I pull out my PDA and show them the actual up to date exchange rate, I get the response "You're money ain't that much here" And yes FPR does pwn as an entire series. I have it emulated for both PS1, GBA, and SNES |

That's actually one of my favorite things about Fire Pro, Dill. You -HAVE- to master the timing and the strategy of the moves and wrestlers themselves, or you're going to get fucked over like a drunk cheerleader! I hate 'arcade' style games like SDvR and the others. I was always into the ones like No Mercy, Wrestlemania 2000; hell, one of my favorites, (and yes, I still own it), was WCW vs. The World for the original PS-X. Mark might remember that one, since it was almost a 'watered-down' version of the Fire-Pro series. |

At the time it came out, it was the closest thing you could find in the USA to an FPW-style game, man, you have to give it credit for that, at least. Yea, the names they gave the Indy and Japanese superstars were stupid as shit. Abispa for Liger? ...Sam Song for Kobashi? ...Tiki for Antonio Inoki? ...Sheesh. Not having the actual finishers for a lot of them, (including a lot of the WCW people like Ultimo Dragon, Dean Malenko and Rick Steiner), was fucking dumb, too. I heard a lot of good things about DoR, actually. The second anyway, like you said. To be honest, though, I'm a Sony-loyalist, you know that. I bought a GameCube once for the Resident Evil remake, but I don't think I ever tried DoR...I got the other one that came out...I forget the name. It had you doing "missions" for Stephanie McMahon, like beating up security guards, trashing your opponents car, and throwing people off a construction site building? ...Weird. |
