I only liked the Celtics because of one man .... Larry Bird He wasn't there in attendance, so screw the Celtics ... Plus Billicheck was in the attendance, I think he slipped the Laker's playbook to Doc and that's how they got that blowout ... I don't like Lakers either, I just don't like the Celtics more ... (except back in the day with Bird and the All-Stars) But whatever, good for them ... |

The Celtics are the only team in Boston that I have no reason to hate...mainly b/c I don't really follow basketball. |

I stopped watching the NBA after Jordan and the Bulls won their last championship. To me that was the good ol days, when Jordan was showcasing why he is the best basketball player of all time(in my opinion) every single game. But Im glad the Celtics won, because I have never liked the Lakers, so it was good to see them get dominated during the series. |

Wooo hooo...give me a fucking break. Five guys verses Kobe alone and you're celebrating. If you had lost, you would have deserved to be considered the city with the worst teams this side of the East Coast. I'm still proud of Kobe (Lakers as a team does not exist, obviously). You go Kobe! My mom and everyone else I know stopped after Jordan retired.

Most of the props go to Danny Ainge here. Everyone here was gunning for him, thinking that he wasn't going to do anything with all of the young talent Boston had. Boston then got lucky, though, with the lottery. Just think; if the Celtics had the first or second pick, they would either be the same team as last year, (with Oden sidelined and Pierce demanding a trade) or they would be a mediocre team with an outside shot at the playoffs (with Pierce and Durant). Instead, Boston didn't get one of those "franchise" players, and Danny Ainge made the trades to get Allen and Garnett. He also signed Posey and House, who were huge contributors. And Greg, what reasons do you have to hate the Bruins? |

This is Kobe we speak of. The man who scored 81 points in a game. Even if there are four other bodies on the floor it doesn't count to him. :ph43r: |

I was at that game in Philly when Jordan retired for the last and final time! Damn it if I followed Shorty's GIF right, this shit should not have happened! I guess that little girl has a hell of a head and a solid right hook that came right back at that kid.. Too bad the last game was a blowout. The other two games when one team came back from 20, I turned it off before the comeback. So of course the one game I watch til the very end, has no magic and stays a blowout. <_< |

You can cancel the Patriots out for being stupid enough to get caught doing what every NFL team does? |

Cancel them out for not winning when it counts. Superbowl 1 - Patriots 0  Ah but it's quite interesting to see how Boston teams have gotten better dramatically. I wonder what's going on over there... |

See I don't mind that. Rag on us for losing the Super Bowl, but don't keep this dumbass spygate thing going. The Pats didn't gain any advantage from the tapes. Anyway, the Pats got good because they took a great chance on Brady, who turned this team around. Brady is the biggest reason for the team's success. Belichick is a great coach, but he didn't do anything until Brady came. The Sox have always been close, but have finally put it together over the past few years, especially with their young talent coming up. I think it's obvious why the Celtics got better. |
