The day was stilling, the late afternoon that eluded to the beginning of the sun's path toward the western horizon. The darkening orange of early dusk threw long shadows across the concrete, shining gold on every reflective surface that the remaining cars offered. Toward the front of the lot, near the stairs that led up to the entrance of the arena, the gold seemed to linger a touch longer, where the fiery sunlight lit against the long exhaust pipes of a motorcycle. It gleamed dully against the heavy riding boots that balanced on either side of the machine, where the trained eye could follow a pair of long legs in black denim, until the jeans stopped at a black belt, flowering into a silver belt buckle.

It would be just a simple profile of a young woman on a bike, but this was odd. She straddled the thing backward, leaned over the black leather seat just enough that the short string of sparkles from her naval ring dangled a touch over the bare skin, before her black tank top followed her curves up, the arch of her back into the sun-lit deep red of her hair. She leaned over a Zippo, the black cigarette soon burning with a practiced swipe of fire. Puffing slightly, she darted her head up to allow the gray cloud to slip past her, before eyeing the mostly empty lot around her.

Sighing, she exhaled, leaning back against a sheet of leather, the black vest stretched across her gas tank hidden with her body as she tilted her sunglasses down over her eyes and stretched out on the length of her bike. New contract, new fed... Good.

It meant life would be getting interesting.

(Open for run ins with whoever's game to meet/harass/ogle the new girl!)

It was time he started to look forward to a new federation, there was so much he needed to prove to himself, yet not a single federation that could keep it running long enough for Zachriel to leave his tainted mark. The loud machine under him roared like a lion, the deafening sound of the Harley Davidson, customised of course to reflect the characteristics of its dark rider.
The black and chrome bodywork colour coordinated with the man whose long strands of hair were tied up by elastic, and a black and white bandana to keep his head covered and protected from the dirt that was coming up from the dry dirty road racing away beneath him.

He could see the Arena building from afar and rode in to parking lot. Upon his arrival he saw the beautiful Heather Phoenix – a woman he had bumped into a while ago. Whether she remembered him was another thing.

Riding up to her, he silenced the roaring machine, throwing his black denim covered leg over to step off his roaring stallion and stood close to the beautiful female. His bearded face looked down towards her, a slight raise of his eyebrow showed that he was intrigued to see her here…

“So, we meet again…”

The roar of another machine made her arch an eyebrow, exhaling a slow rolling cloud of smoke before its proximity piqued her interest. A Harley, that much she knew, but no make she could readily identify... Tilting down her sunglasses, she watched the cycle with a note of approval. Too often people had been trading in quality for speed, handing off real machines like the sleek black and chrome number she was checking out for the ugly neon riceburners that the world mass produced. It was a shame, really. Crotchrockets were for the weak spirited. It took real strength to move on a bike like that. Whoever it was had skill, knew his bike well. It was odd, though. That machine looked familiar...

Oh shit.

Heather immediately pinkened a touch, pushing her sunglasses up and took another drag from her cigarette, pulling one boot up to perch on the back tire. She had seen that bike before. One federation ago, to be exact. For a second, she contemplated making a run for it. Not that it mattered. If she knew anything about the man that slowly pulled his bike alongside hers, he would figure out she was a member on his new roster.

"So, we meet again."

"Zachriel." There, that came out nicely. Cool, with just a touch of warmth colored in attitude. It was almost impressive. "I guess I don't have to ask why you're here too. New contract." She arched a brow of her own, shifting to look up his impossible height to find the familiar and striking hazel eyes. It was different, catching him in sunlight, rather than sitting in his locker room, with her chest tight and blood pounding in her head. "After W3 closed, I never had a chance to stop in to say goodbye."

Not true, of course. She'd gone to his locker room the first chance she could when it came time to empty the place out. He'd been gone already.

"Either way... It's nice to see you around. Should make the show a lot more interesting."

"Goodbye, Miss Phoenix.."

The man paused a little, as his hazel eyes stayed focus on her cool blue. He was in a new environment and not just the fact that it was a new federation - very rarely did anyone stand around and speak to the dark rider, not unless they needed something ofcourse. He began to watch her every move, processing each muscle and each feature in her face - analysing her.

"Goodbye is a term that I find very contradictive Miss Phoenix. Theres never any need to say goodbye, especially not in our industry." he paused and looked at the fierce red machine on which the beautiful redhead leaned against. "We are travellers Miss Phoenix, and the chances are that we're likely to come across each other. One way or another."

He was speaking more then he was used to, but he stayed composed, he was one who always made sure he was in control of every situation, and even now he the conversation in his clutch.
He motioned toward the building.

"You going inside... Or you having second thoughts?"

"I suppose you could say that. But you're certainly right about being travelers. Just the type of people I see in my particular situation are either my family or those I never see again. And you.." The steel eyes warmed a touch, bring a clear icy blue forward. "I suppose i imagined you to be the kind that fades away into memory. Good or bad, I can hardly be sure." She cocked her head, lines of crimson falling across her face and shoulder as she allowed a smile to brush her lips. "Not to say our short conversations have been anything less than interesting..."

As he gestured to the building, she followed the motion with her eyes, intrigued.

"You going inside... Or you having second thoughts?"

Heather smiled then, a real smile as she glanced at the pavement, before looking back up at the massive man in front of her.

"Second thoughts? Mr. Donahue, you underestimate me. I actually just came from my contract signing. Decided to have a smoke and see if anyone of interest would be coming along before I decided to go in. Apparently it was the right move."

All in all, not bad. It was easy to tell she was interested in him being there, but at least she wasn't stuttering like an idiot like the last time they'd met. And Drake wasn't with her this time. Her security had a bad habit of turning up and raining on whatever parade she had going at the moment. Either way, it was a small comfort that he couldn't tell her heart was in her throat. Small, because he had a way of reading people. Whenever they spoke, he seemed to be able to read her like a book. No one else had ever had that ability, she'd made sure of that. it was what made him so intriguing. Also, he was damned handsome, and a biker... Take your pick, really. Darkside had a way of sticking, tattooing himself in her mind since she'd first met him.

She slid to her feet, snagging the leather vest she'd been leaning on and pulling it over the tank top she'd been sporting, and gesturing at him.

"Lead the way."

She was a little like him - speaking one thing and thinking another. He listened to everything she had to say before he replied - the man was always a calm and collective individual that always assessed each outcome of his intentions before acting.

"Someone of interest Miss Phoenix, your yet to meet." His deep voice quashed the silence from the hair between them. Watching her he walked by, taking the lead.

He wasn't used to this female attention, it was a new experience for him, but new environments never threatened him. He knew she was dangerous, but not as dangerous as him. If she remembered anything of the dark one, she would know he was as tough as they came, living his life on a knife edge. Each journey taken to the extreme. Each obstacle demolished before him.

"Where is your man today Miss Phoenix? Never thought you was one to ride alone.." He glanced back, taunting her. He remembered the encounter he had with her bodyguard Drake - an interesting affair, all because she seemed to have come close to him. A hint of jelousy in a bodyguard is never a good combination, maybe that is why she was here alone. Or maybe he remained inside. Eitherway, Darkside led them inside.
