There has been a lot of talk within WWE that CM Punk's career with the company may be coming to an end soon. Word is that Punk has not re-signed a new deal and that's the reason he's been downplayed as of late. If you notice Punk getting pushed out of nowhere, that probably means he's re-signed. The topic of Punk leaving WWE started on the European tour and continued at RAW last night.

Apparently Punk has also been telling people close to him that he's interested in taking some time off. We hope to have more later.

I've read the same thing, about him feeling burned out after a few years non-stop with WWE and not yet signing a new deal. I hope he does because Punk honestly can make almost anything worth watching, but can't blame the guy for considering his options and thinking about taking a little downtime.

WWE apparently don't want him to go and that's rumoured to be the reason that Beth Phoenix got drafted to Raw, so they can travel together and hopefully keep him happier, or so they say. If he doesn't sign a new deal and does leave I can't see him going anywhere else, so I really do hope that he sticks about because a world without CM Punk on my television is not a world I want to live in.

There has been a lot of talk about how Punk isnt too happy with the way they have treated his character. Having him start off strong in feuds, only to be fed to the babyfaces. He deserves a bit more than what he gets. He can be a top character and he can put on good matches with just about everyone and his promos are always classic. But if he were to take time off or just simply leave, then I can no longer watch wrestling. Punk was the only reason I watched RAW and Edge was the only reason I watched SD!. If Christian gets a world title reign, then yeah maybe I'll watch.

IMO - Punk never belonged in WWE, anyway. He's too talented, too honest with his work, and too willing to give as much as he takes in terms of performance, backstage politics and all-round decency. TNA isn't where he belongs, either. Not anymore. Not with how low their standards have dropped. It sucks to say it, but aside from Canada, maybe Britain or Japan, I just can't think of a fed that honestly deserves a talent, let alone a person like Punk.
