...goddamn. I don't know what else to say than that. I always assumed after years of working for WCW and WWF/E that Flair still wrestled because he enjoyed it, until I read stories from TNA's European trip where he was demanding money be paid to him in advance and TNA left him behind in Ireland because of it. I never quite imagined it was THAT BAD though. Makes you wonder how much they really earn, how much they really spend and how much they actually save up. Maybe Triple H is the smartest wrestler alive - marry the bosses daughter, don't ever have to worry about turning in to Flair. Woo... |

I knew this was coming a long time ago. This happens to most wrestlers, they stay far too long because they don't have money anymore. They spend it all on drugs, alcohol, in some cases hookers. They end up wrestling small shows in gyms just to be able to pay rent. It's good to see certain guys that have taken care of themselves financially or get some sort of job outside of wrestling when they're finished. I honestly don't expect Flair to live much longer. Just speculating but I just think that his body and lifestyle might not allow it. |

The funny part here, isn't Hulk Hogan pretty much in the same boat? Or at least close enough to that? HBK is the man for having settled with himself personally, and financially and retiring when he was damn well good and ready, not because he had to. Edge, Trish Stratus, Lane Storm, Booker T, The Rock, and Austin at least all retired /moved on and were financially stable or went on to have their own successful business ventures. Shame the older generation never did. (80's/early 90's.) AH well, live and learn. Hopefully the new generation is learning. |

Mark it is nice to see wrestlers set. As I mentioned it'd good to see them have something outside of WWE and HBK has a tv show that he doesnt need. He doesnt have child support to pay for like Flair or 3 wives. He took care of his money despite the 4 year absense. But in all honestly guys in the 90's made more than classic guys like Flair. Despite the fact that Flair was the man for like 20 years guys like HBK, HHH, Austin, Taker, Rock make a shit ton more than he did. |
