The sound of a phone ringing echoes for a moment as darkness fills the room. The sound of the phone ringing again is heard as we then hear the shuffling of sheets before the phone rings a third time. A light comes on showing a bedroom as we see CHBK turning over and taking the sheets off of him before leaning forward and rubbing his eyes. He then grabs the phone and looks at it. He then lets out a deep breath and opens the phone, placing it on speaker phone. CHBK: “Jake. Do you not realize what time it is over on the west coast?” Harvey: “My apologies. Just that I have a couple of big meeting this afternoon and I’m not sure when I’d get a chance to pass this along.” CHBK gets up and grabs the phone before walking into the bathroom and placing it on the shelf next to him before running some of the water. CHBK: “Well, I guess that finally Laura and her husband caught some headway. Took them long enough.” Harvey: “I’m good at what I do, but you’re right there.” CHBK: “Fill me in. Just if I’m a bit slow in responding, just trying to help me wake up. Only 7 a.m. and I was hoping to sleep in a bit.” Harvey: “Again, sorry about that. But anyways, Laura’s lawyers, Mr. Horowitz if you remember…” CHBK: “The one who said I was blackmailing her.” Harvey: “That’s the one…” CHBK places some water on his hands and throws it up into his face. Harvey: “…but they’ve managed to get through most of the paperwork and one thing that they’re going to try is to force at the very least common-law property rights.” CHBK: “Really aiming low there.” CHBK grabs his toothbrush and starts to run it on the water before grabbing his toothpaste and placing some of the brush. Harvey: “Well that’s what I thought. The problem there is that then they can fudge things easier. In a marriage, if you came in with it, there’s too many precedents for them to definitely not get the house. But given that you two obviously lived each other, they’re going to try and apply common law property rights to it.” CHBK brushes his teeth as he listens to this. Harvey: “Now, I’ve yet to see divorce papers. But it’s more that they’ve sent notice that they are looking at having a preliminary hearing on the matter.” CHBK spits out the toothpaste before leaning over and drinking some water right out of the tap and then rinsing his toothbrush off. CHBK: “My understanding of common law property rights certainly doesn’t help their case. I mean it’s even clearer about if you’ve brought it in prior to the marriage.” Harvey: “You bought it after you two were married.” CHBK: “My own money.” Harvey: “Yeah, but they’re going to try and work around it. I’m still having the two university students that started here look at it.” CHBK: “Regardless, you said no divorce papers. Is she trying to play both sides with this?” Harvey: “Your wife.” CHBK: “Just musing outloud. Regardless, the furniture is still an issue and something I naively failed to consider.” CHBK thinks for a moment. CHBK: “If they want their hearing, give it to them. I’ll be there. Just draw up a new agreement that I agree to offset moving costs and will split the furniture evenly should they take things further. My income is significantly larger than Laura’s. I’m going to lose part of it anyways to offset initial costs. I’d rather determine them through settling.” Harvey: “You sure? You may be giving up too much too soon. Feeling some guilt?” CHBK: “You know I’m not. It’s self-preservation. I’ll call her bluff. She’s waited this long to do something and my bet is she was twisted into the hearing by her lawyer. She has too much to lose. Add that talking to one of my friends who has gone over just to check on her, she’s still not clear on what she wants to do. I’ll make it easy for her to decide.” Harvey: “I think it’s the wrong move, but you seem set on it. It’s only a preliminary hearing.” CHBK: “And I’d like to prefer to seem as reasonable as possible. Right now, I’m the one cheating on her with someone in their early twenties. I doubt I’m going to look too good regardless what I’ve done in the community or how many babies I’ve kissed and hands I’ve shaked with SCW.” Harvey: “Fair enough. I’ll keep tabs on it and keep you updated. Next time I won’t call so early for you. Heh…” CHBK: “Next time, hopefully I’ll be back on the east coast and probably actually awake anyways.” Harvey: “Have a good day, Alex.” CHBK: “Same to you Jake.” CHBK presses the end call button on the phone. He then leans forward and sighs as he looks up at the mirror. He then takes the phone before looking at it and moving through the contacts before dialling a number. A few moments pass. CHBK: “Hi Ravyn…I’ll be there in about an hour….sounds good.” CHBK hangs up the phone and places it down on the shelf again before turning and reaching into the shower and turning it on. He then turns and heads into the bedroom to get ready for his day. -------- The door opens in the house of Syren and Ravyn Taylor as CHBK steps inside. He takes off his sunglasses and looks around before kicking off his shoes. CHBK: “Ravyn?! Zoe?!” Ravyn: “In here?” CHBK walks forward and into the kitchen of the house as Ravyn is there just pouring herself some tea. Ravyn: “Tea?” CHBK: “I’d prefer coffee at this point.” Ravyn: “You know where it is. I’m sure Zoe’s okay with you stealing some of her stash.” CHBK: “Or she’s just going to join me for a drink of coffee.” Ravyn: “Either way, you’re here early.” CHBK: “Lawyer called reminding me he’s on the East Coast.” CHBK grabs the coffee and grabs a filter, placing it in before pouring some of the grounds into the top. He then places the coffee tin down and fills up the coffee pot with water. Ravyn: “Why is it called the East Coast? Toronto is not on the East Coast.” CHBK: “Simplifies it for the dumber people.” Ravyn just smirks. Ravyn: “So what did the lawyer have to say.” CHBK: “That Laura’s lawyer is a fool.” CHBK pours the water into the coffeemaker before placing the pot back in its holster and turning it on and turns to Ravyn who just looks at him unimpressed. CHBK: “Oh, you wanted more information. Well, let’s see…the lawyer is about six foot-“ Ravyn: “Why is he a fool?” CHBK: “They’re staging a preliminary hearing to try and counter my claim that the mansion is strictly mine.” Ravyn: “You paid for it. It’s in your name.” CHBK: “And technically, if they were going to go under marriage law, they’d be done. They’re trying common law.” Ravyn: “Really? A bit of an odd precedent. Married couple being viewed as common law.” CHBK: “And we’d still be married. No divorce papers.” Just then Juno scampers into the room looking around before then going over to the fridge and helping herself to what appears to be orange juice. CHBK: “Regardless, it’s one of those situations where my wife I think is being taken along for a ride. She stands to lose too much and gains too little and part of me is heavily thinking this is a result of her lawyer looking to turn this into a career-making case. You set a new precedent, you challenge an existing law, you become revered.” Juno: “Then why don’t you just stand in for your wife?” CHBK smirks as Juno turns to him looking a bit puzzled. Ravyn just turns to her before turning to CHBK. CHBK: “Well my wife and I are exactly on the best speaking terms.” Juno: “And why would that be? Has a problem with all of your business here?” CHBK: “You could say that.” Ravyn just grabs Juno a glass while grabbing a mug for CHBK. CHBK grabs it and walks over to the coffee pot and pours some coffee, taking it black before sitting back down. Juno: “Well perhaps you should go up there and deal with it.” CHBK: “Plan to next month depending on what information I’m given. Until then, I’m going to be probably around your mother quite a bit. Helping her prepare for her career, along with Zoe, along with Lucas, Ryan and all of their friends.” Juno: “But if you’re not talking, being away from her isn’t going to help.” CHBK: “Well in this case, it won’t help going to her. See…” CHBK looks up at Ravyn who almost just is leaning back watching to see how this will play out. CHBK: “…I used to love my wife, very much. I still do in some ways, but that feeling isn’t mutual. Things change over time. Love isn’t always eternal.” Juno: “So you’re giving up?” CHBK just smiles as he takes a sip of his coffee. Syren then enters the room. Syren: “Ooooo! Coffee!” CHBK: “Well, I don’t have a choice. Right now, we were in a happy agreement. We were okay with things. But she has someone who is going to ruin that for her if they continue and then, I won’t be giving up, but she will be.” Juno: “Well that just sucks. You guys probably didn’t have love at all.” Syren pours herself some coffee. Syren: “What are you guys talking about?” CHBK: “Love apparently. And in particular, my wife and I.” Syren: “Oh….well, yeah, you guys probably didn’t have love at all.” CHBK: “Going to make a point, but do you love Ravyn, Zoe?” Syren: “Like duh.” CHBK: “Well I loved Laura that way twenty-eight years ago. I loved Laura that way twenty years ago, even two years ago. Things changed. Sorry, but the Cinderella love story doesn’t always work out.” Syren: “Pfft. Whatever. Juno and I can keep believe that.” Juno: “Yeah. You’re just wrong.” Juno and Syren then turn and go off to the living room. Syren: “Come on. Let’s watch cartoon. Duck Tales is on and they are super awesome!” Juno: “Alright.” CHBK then chuckles a bit as he takes another sip of his coffee and turns to Ravyn. Ravyn: “You know at some point she’ll find out about us.” CHBK: “I’m not going to let her know until you do. Welcome to motherhood. You’re going to do this, you need to deal with tough decisions.” Ravyn just looks down, almost vaguely concerned. CHBK: “What’s wrong? I do know that look. I was married for twenty-eight years.” Ravyn: “Still are.” CHBK: “So?” Ravyn: “Realization.” CHBK: “That’s all the fun stuff that doesn’t come with a guidebook. And every kid is different. You saw how she was able to understand our conversation enough but then was entirely naïve to other things. She’s a bright kid. She’s still a kid though and she’s still going to have questions and you’re going to have to give her answers. You just have to decide when and where you’re going to burst her bubble.” Ravyn: “Heh….I didn’t get that care.” CHBK: “If I recall, you made it so it was off the table at an early point.” Ravyn: “Asylums do that.” Ravyn just turns and takes a sip as CHBK takes another. Ravyn: “So…do I have to withhold sex from you so you don’t get hit by ASP like you have been again?” CHBK just laughs. CHBK: “I’m sure I can find some groupies to fill the void if I decide to pull a Chad Evans.” Ravyn: “Heh…” Ravyn smirks as they both continue to drink their beverages… --------- The sun shines down on the driveway of what appears to be the front of Ravyn and Syren’s house. We then see CHBK walking forward, and walking over to his car as he just stops and smirks. CHBK: “Oh wait…I should mention something about Andrew Samuel Pugh. Odd start? I mean, it’s not like on many occasions I’ve been clear about my desire to not have to deal with someone who is so desperately trying to be relevant. We’ve all been there Andrew. You can’t shoot to the top like a rocket. But honestly, after you got lucky on Breakdown a few weeks back, hitting me with that spin kick…I figured that perhaps I need to remind you that why so much changes, so much stays the same.” CHBK smiles. CHBK: “Allow me to take you down memory lane. See Andrew, you’ve been talking about how you’ve come to a realization that you can’t act as you have and that your tactics were wrong. Nevermind the fact that the tactics weren’t wrong and you just couldn’t come through, the fact is that really you haven’t changed your tactics. I remember when you walked into this place and I was acting commissioner and we saw you running around, talking big, making challenges, not shutting up. Now, you’ve gone after titles after titles, several former World Champions, making challenges, David Helms, Thorn, Rachel Foxx, Greg Cherry, hell, even Dylan Cole and others over the years…and where has it gotten you…you’re still struggling to break through the damn floor.” CHBK takes a moment. CHBK: “Allow me to give you some helpful advice, pissing on the most powerful group in SCW history and pissing on one of the greatest legends in this business, is a sure-fire way to make sure that you no longer are heard from. I already showed you that I can outsmart you any day of the week. Remember Montreal. Remember when I knocked you around. Seemingly not as you didn’t learn your lesson. The fact is that you’re going to get a chance to make a name for yourself. You’re going to try and do it at my expense. Good luck son, you’re going to need it.” “Because you’re not the first. You’re not the last. At least you haven’t done the stupid thing and claim you’re going to end my career. That’s maybe the only other thing people constantly try against me. They see a legend. We need to rather than respect them, knock him off from the position they’ve earned. Hear that…EARNED. I wasn’t handed anything. I wasn’t just running around punching people in the back or pissing everyone off on Twitter. I went into that ring and week in, week out, won matches. Nearly thirty years, I’ve been doing that. And look what it’s got me. Ten time World Champion. One of the most respected names in the game. And I can choose my own schedule. All things I’ve worked towards and EARNED. You don’t know the meaning of that word. You don’t know what it is like to work for anything. Training back in the day with your buddies as you were trying to get break into the business. That’s just the start. Everyone did that. I did that back in the day where they tried to break your leg just to make sure you were tough enough. See Andrew, you have earned anything. You’ve tried to take the easy way. You tried with Generation Supreme, hoping that gang tactics and whining enough would get you somewhere, you did the same with the Uneasy Alliance. You’re doing the same now. And worse yet, you listened to David Helms, someone who is just leading you to your demise. Andrew….any of this sinking in?” “Because Andrew, Infamous, we may use gang tactics, but when push comes to shove, we’re standing in that ring and the world knows we are as good as we say we are. We don’t hope that the five people who actually buy your merchandise can cheer louder just so you feel special. We don’t hype each other up, because we don’t need it. And we’re going to show that to you again. I’m getting in that ring to face you Andrew. Think about that. You’re going to be looking across the ring at someone who has been doing this longer than you’ve been alive. And you’re going to be looking at someone who is going to be doing everything they are capable of to teach you a lesson. The youth these days seem to think they’re entitled to everything. Look around. No more respect. Just take cheap shots and hope someone will get pissed off enough to give you what you want. Well, this time it worked to at least get you to the dance. I’ll give you that….but the question for you…is now what?” “What are you going to do when you realize that you’re in over your head? What are you going to do when you realize you should’ve sat back and worked your way up to this spot so you have some momentum, you have some wins, you have no doubt in your mind you’ll win. You went after me, because David Helms said to you that he wanted you to prove that you’re so much more on Breakdown. You did it from peer pressure. And you didn’t do it the honourable way…walking to the ring and challenging me to a match. And that’s where your downfall is. Because you can cheap shot all you want, I invented that game. And you can wrestle…highfly…brawl…I don’t care, I’ve seen it all…I’ve survived it all. Andrew, Under Attack, is going to be the night where you realize that you screwed up. That’s a lesson I’m happy to teach you and it’s a lesson you’ll never forget….because as I say, icons come and go, legends can be forgotten…but a heartbreak lasts forever!” CHBK then turns and unlocks his car as he opens the door and steps inside. He turns the ignition as the scene slowly fades to black… |

Disclaimer: First part of the CD is a flashback from a memorable event in Andrew's first days of training in CAPWA. Also the CD reintroduces someone from his past anda big event happens toward the end, which sets up stuff later on. This is an absolute honor Olek and so good luck and Enjoy! (Flashback) Around March 2004 in Cleveland All Pro Wrestling Academy "Get your ass up and fight," Jason Maverick shouted while slamming his cane violently as Andrew found himself once again on the canvas. He was sparring with one of his peers and he was getting his ass kicked...again. It's been this way since he joined the Academy around Christmas time. While everyone around him seemed to be progressing Andrew has remained the same. He was poor at transitional chain wrestling, his strikes were weak and he look like a twig. The only thing he did know was the basics, which was running the ropes and taking a bump. Well in case of the latter he was so use to constantly being taken to the canvas that it was becoming like second nature. Andrew reluctantly reached a vertical base and squared off with his opponent. His opponent was taller and a lot stronger than him so Andrew was at a disadvantage. However it wasn't the only disadvantage he was facing. See at this point Andrew lacked confidence, which was a rarity given how full of himself he was. However despite that overconfidence he was fragile. Once things got bad for him no matter what it was he always crumbles from the pressure. He starts to doubt himself and thus dig a bigger hole for him. This was another classic example of Andrew cracking under the pressure. Richardson looked above from the balcony with Maverick and Hall as the rest of the students watched outside the ring. Andrew looked at his opponent and suddenly charged at him with reckless abandon. His opponent easily managed to grab Andrew by his arm and violently yanked his arm to the ground. From there he successfully locked in an arm lock and Andrew immediately tapped out. Andrew screamed in agony as his opponent managed his grip although he surrendered. Richardson just watched on until he finally felt that it was time to stop. "Alright that's enough," he later said. The hold was relinquished and Andrew slowly reached a vertical base favoring his right shoulder. "Well done Maddox," Richardson spoke again to Maddox who nodded his head. Richardson then once again focused his attention on Andrew. Andrew, Andrew, Andrew. This is yet another pitiful performance by you. You're almost zombie like out there. Your lack of progress and your attitude is making me wonder why exactly did you sign up here? What is your actually goal of being in wrestling? Do you even want to be a wrestler? Because if you do then you're not showing us that. Do you know where you're standing at? "Scared ground," Andrew muttered as he remembered Maverick telling him that the very first day at CAPWA. "Preciously. This sacred ground has been the place where men have battled til the very end, spilling their blood, sweat and tears on that mat. Even if they knew that they were inferior to their adversary, they put their body on the line and they fought. Your performances are a direct insult to all of those warriors that have been in that ring and a insult to what I'm trying to create here. From day one we have told all of you that when you're in that ring we want you to show no mercy; show no remorse from your opponent and your well being. And you simply haven't displayed any of that." Andrew hung his head in shame as the others, including Vyn and Amanda, watched on. "Until you prove to me that you deserve to have own knowledge bestowed upon you, until you prove to us that you're ready to be molded into a warrior, you are no longer allowed to train here. "What," Andrew responded as the others were stunned. Suddenly Vyn spoke up. "Sir you can't do that," Vyn shouted as Richardson laid his eyes on him. "I know Andrew has underperformed to your standards but you can't just give up on him!" "Son this has nothing to do with you. I admire you standing up for your friend however nothing you say will change our minds." Vyn just shook his head. "With that said Andrew I think it's best if you go." Andrew just stared a Richardson before slowly existing the ring and headed for the door, his spirit crushed. ______________________________________________________________________ Random Thought of the Day....It always seems that no matter how far you go, you always find yourself back to where you started. Tuesday, October 11th, 2011 in Cleveland All Pro Wrestling Academy 4:00 P.M. So here I am once again; back in Cleveland All Pro Wrestling Academy. It's been a good three months since I've ever been at this place. Ever since basically told me that they didn't want me to train here after I lost my title match to Warren James I had been with Greg Fields and his students. When I was allowed back to CAPWA I immediately told Greg that I wouldn't be going there as frequent as I was prior to. And besides traveling all the way to Miami was becoming straining. However I told him that being back with Richardson wouldn't end our relationship. I feel that my short tenure being with him has benefited my game and I feel that he has a lot more to teach me. Plus I've kinda taken Troy under my wing Anyways I open the door and I see Jason, John and Richardson discussing something amongst themselves. "Yo," I shouted as they stopped and turned around to see me. "Drew," John responded as he ran over and literally squeezed the life out me. "Good to see you too sir," I said weakly before he let go off me. After that I locked eyes with Richardson, who looked just like he always look; calm and emotionless. "Hey sir," I said as I extended my hand to him. He simply looked at it for a moment before accepting it. "Hello Andrew, he responded formally of course. "It's been a while hasn't it?" "Well it's been three months but yeah it has bee a while." "I can tell you're gotten stronger Andrew." "Yeah well you know I'm just doing me." I smirked for a moment at my joke but Richardson didn't laugh. He doesn't laugh at anything now thinking about it. "So how's everything been Drew," Maverick asked. "I've been pretty good. Life's been great lately. Can't complain." "That's good to hear Andrew," John chimed in. "We hear that you're facing CHBK in a couple of weeks. How ya feeling kid," Maverick added to which I stroked my chin and laughed. "Guys I'm ready," I said with the utmost confidence. "I've been waiting for my defining moment to come and now it's here so it's showtime now." "Indeed it is kid. If you manage to defeat one of the greatest wrestlers ever you will make one big name for yourself and I know how bad you want the spotlight," John stated. It was true, I love it when everyone's watching me. People might call me narcissistic about that but I can't help it. "You're right. I do want the spotlight and now that it's shining on me I plan on making the most of it. I understand going against a legend won't be easy but I know once that bell rings, I'm going to beat him." "Felling confident I see," Richardson suddenly spoke breaking his silence. "Kid, when you first arrived here I thought you were just some young kid with no future in this business. I mean you were weak, you could barely run the ropes and you had no ability. However I remember one day when you stood in that ring and I question your true purpose of because a wrestler. In fact if I can recall I told you to never show up unless you were serious about letting us mold you." "Yeah it was something like that," I said. "Andrew, to be honest, I thought that was the last time I was going to see you. But then you returned and you came back with a new fire. No longer was you that cocky weak kid, you became a someone determined to be great. And now looking at you I'm glad that I didn't dismiss you back then." Wait, was Richardson actually praising me here? I mean it's not everyday that Richardson says positives things about people. "Andrew, out of all the men that I have trained, you're my greatest investment." I just stared at him in disbelief. Was he sincere or was he just saying that. "Yeah kid you've come a long way," Maverick added. "Thanks guys," I said. "That means a lot to me." "Now Andrew," Richardson remarked, "this next match right here will show how far your progress has come. Listen to me when I tell you that you must win this match. Now you probably already know that but Andrew, if you win this match, you will no doubt prove to everyone that you're going to be an impact player. A win over CHBK and just like that you'll be the talk of the town." I simply nodded my head, agreeing with everything he was saying. "However Andrew, if you lose this match, you will find yourself back where you started before you got into this mess with CHBK. In other words Andrew, if you lose this match you will quickly become irrelevant." Again I just nodded and listened. "You have everything to gain by winning and everything to lose by losing. Let me ask you a question, are you even slightly nervous about your match?" "No of course not; I'm Andrew Samuel Pugh. I'm never nervous," I lied. I'll be honest my match against CHBK has made me pretty anxious. After all it was my PPV match in five months and if lose I might not have another opportunity like this. "Come on Andrew, you gotta have some butterflies in your stomach," John added. "OK fine I'm a little nervous." "Well let me tell you this," Richardson stated with a sharp tone. "Once that bell rings, if you're still nervous about your match, you will lose. You can't just be happy that you're going to be in the same ring as CHBK. You must treat it like any other match. You must put his legendary status in the back of your mind and focus on putting him away. Remember-," "Yes I know; show no mercy and no remorse." "Exactly Andrew," said Maverick. "This is your time Andrew, make the most of it." "Don't worry, after Sunday, the name ASP will on the tips of everyone's tongues." ________________________________________________________________ Random Thought of the Day...... Just when things appear to be good they go bad....and then awkward Sunday, October 16th 7:30 P.M. in Los Angeles, California I love GQ parties. There always entertaining and it allows you to just sit back and relax. As much as I love training to become better, it's always good ever now and then to just have fun and forget about everything. So here I am. Once again the party had a good turnout. Sebastian told me I could bring someone and I decided I would bring Jessica. I find it ironic that if he asked months ago I would have just came by myself. Hell I probably wouldn't have came at all. But now to be honest, I hate being by myself. Perhaps that's due to being exposed to the fame of being a wrestler and a GQ model but nowadays I seek company. See before I was mad at the world for my misfortunes. I was bitter. However as time has went that anger has slowly faded to the point where now I'm at peace. I haven't felt this way in a long time and perhaps if I did I would be at a better place but things happen for a reason I guess right? "What are you think about," Jessica asked me as we sat at a table. She was wearing a blue dress and had her hair specialty done. "Oh nothing, " I responded. "Come one Andrew, I've known you for like five months now. I know when you're in deep thought. So tell me, what exactly are you thinking about?" "Trust me Jes, it's nothing really." "Whatever. I'm glad you invited to come to this party. It's pretty cool." "Well Sebastian said I could bring someone and I don't have that many friends so I figured I would invite you to come." "Aww how sweet of you." "Yeah whatever. Listen I'll be back I'm just going to get something o drink." I quickly stood from my seat and I started walking past the hoards of people looking for something to drink. Suddenly I accidentally ran into somebody and almost made him fall. "Oh I'm sorry," I said as the man turned around. Turns out the man was Sebastian himself. "Oh what's up Sebastian," I said with a smile. "Hey kid. I'm glad to see you came out tonight." "Of course I came out. Who can pass on such a great party?" "Losers." "Exactly." Sebastian and I laughed for a moment. "So kid, you brought a date with you?" "Naw I just brought Jessica. She's somewhere over there." "Oh I see you and Jessica have bonded-" "It's not like that," I interrupted. "Hey kid you said it not me. Listen my wife and I are going to be throwing a party of our own next Monday and we would like for you to come." "Sure what not. May I ask the occasion?" "Why you are facing CHBK and we already know that you're going to win so we are going to celebrate." "You might want to hold your horses there Sebastian. I haven't won yet," I said with a smile. "Indeed you haven't. but still are you coming? I mean what's the point of having a party for someone when that someone isn't going to be present for it?" "I guess you bring a point there. I'll be there." "Excellent. Listen kid I have to go back to my wife but I know it my heart you're going to win. You deserve it." "Thanks." I shook his hand before we both went our separate ways. After departing from him I once again began seeking for something to drink. Then the most unexpected thing happen. As I was walking pass the people, I saw her. I saw the Destiny, the one women I thought that was the love of my life. And she saw me. What was she doing her? Why is she walking over here? Damn this is so awkward. "Andrew," she said as she embraced me with a hug. "Uh...hey Destiny; you look nice," I fumbled my words. This was quickly becoming awkward and I was having a hard time dealing with it. "So what brings you here Andrew?" "Uh I was invited. What about you?" "Oh I'm a guest. I'm here with my boyfriend." Oh great, she's moved on while I've been spending the majority of this year hoping she would come back to me. "Uh...yeah that's great Destiny." "And guess what? He proposed to me tonight and I said yes!" She cheerfully showcased the ring on her finger which made my heart sink. No only did she move on, but she was planning to perhaps spend the rest of her life with someone else. "Congratulations," I said awkwardly, trying to make sure she didn't detect my true feelings on the situation. "Thanks Andrew. I'm so happy." "I see." "Look Andrew I know you and I have history and although I'm going to be spending the rest of my life with someone else I want you to know that I still care about and I hope you too find that special someone that makes you happy." This night has quickly turned out to be a nightmare. "Uh yeah Destiny. Listen I wish you the best okay?" "Thank you." She hugged me one more time before she left. Just like that my night has become awful. The one women that I loved has now moved on without me. I'm not in anyway upset with her for her decision but I'm more upset with myself. I should have been there more. I should have paid more attention to her. But I didn't and instead I let the best thing to happen to me leave. At this point I don't feel like partying anymore. "Come one Jessica we're leaving." "But the party hasn't even got started ye," she answered. "Why what's wrong?" "Let's just go back to the hotel ok?" An hour later at a hotel in LA "Come on Andrew, you've been silent for like an hour; what happened," she asked as I just slouched on the couch watching TV. "I saw her," I responded. "You saw who?" "I saw her Jessica. I saw Destiny." "Wait you say the same Destiny that you've been talking about?" I simply nodded my head in agreement. "Well that's great right? You've been telling how much you wanted to see her so what's the problem?" "She's getting married." "What?" Jessica just sat next to me as I continued to slouch on the couch. "She told me herself. Hell she showed me the ring." "Aw Andrew I'm so sorry." "I should have been there for her. I shouldn't have neglected her. This is all my fault." "It's not all your fault Andrew. It just wasn't meant to be." "No. We were supposed to be together. We were supposed to spend our lives together and now she's with someone else because of me." I violently threw the remote to the wall and it broke on contact. I'll be paying for that I bet. "Look Andrew, you can't keep blaming yourself. She's moved on and now it's time for you to move on." I just nodded my head. She was right. "There's a lot more people out there Andrew. You can't just quit because you thought something was going to last and it didn't. You have a lot of offer Andrew. I mean you're smart, you're funny and although you're very conceited you mean well and any women would be lucky to have you." I looked into her green eyes. "You believe that?" "Yes I do." As she said then, I leaned in until my lips pressed hers. It was like a heat of the moment type thing. It was like I had no control of my body. "What the hell Andrew," she suddenly said as our lips parted away. "Oh I'm so sorry Jes...I," Jessica quickly got off the couch and walked away. Way to go Andrew, you just made things awkward, Way to fucking go. ______________________________________________________________________ The SCW cameras spots ASP, Andrew Samuel Pugh and Jessica inside a ring set up outside the Version Center in front of a long audience. In the ring with the two is the usual Highlight Express set, the black, pink and white plaid carpet, the huge plasma screen Alpha Tron 3000 and of course two stools. Pugh is sporting a black tailor made suit with a green dress shirt underneath. The Epicenter of Awesomeness is currently resting on a stand next to ASP. Andrew has a microphone in his hands and he slowly brings it to his mouth. ASP: Greetings ASPeeps worldwide! The fans roar in approval as ASP begins to arrogantly smirk. He waits for the cheers to die down before speaking once again. ASP: Once again this is your hero, role model and trendsetter ASP, Andrew Samuel Pugh and as you can see ASPeeps, this is a special edition of the Highlight Express! More cheers as ASP continues to smile. ASP: Yes you see ASPeeps, Under Attack is right around the corner and it's going to be one big night. You got a Last Man Standing match between two people that absolutely hate each other. Also there will be two fatal four ways to determine both the United States and Underground Championship which is always entertaining, which is then followed with an Adrenaline Title match, which by the way I have my eyes keen on. We have Jake Starr finally getting a chance to get his hands on Shawn Winters and who can forget the return of the Chamber Match to determine the number one contender, who will then compete for the belt right after that match! The fans cheer as they are clearly hyped up for Under Attack. ASP: Under Attack has a slate of great matches lined up and one of those matches includes yours truly. Ah yes ASPeeps this Sunday I finally get to go one on one with the Canadian Heartbreak Kid himself Alex Desoubrais! The fans give a mix reaction after ASP mentions CHBK's name. Andrew nods his head as Jessica Summers looks on. ASP: CHBK, what's more to be said. You've done everything in this business. Five time World Champion, former Tag Team Champion; you've headlined countless SCW events and hell many consider you the greatest wrestler to ever lived. The fans clap as they respect everything CHBK has done. Andrew just nods his head before speaking yet again. ASP: I mean you have set the bar for success here. When you say Supreme Championship Wrestling the first thing you think about is CHBK. When you mention the World Heavyweight Championship, you're the first name they mention. Alex, you have been the hero of so many SCW fans and you have been the inspiration for other wrestlers. You truly the Babe Ruth of this business. Once again the fans clap as Andrew nods his head. He wants for the crowd to die down before bringing the microphone back to his lips. ASP: Alex, you've meant so much to growth of this company an no one will ever deny that. However there comes a time where everyone must walk away. There comes a time where you reach the end of the tunnel and realize that your time is over. And Alex, you've reached the end of tunnel a long time ago. I mean you are forty eights years old and in a few more days you'll forty nine years. Your time has expired a long time ago but from some reason you're still. From some reason you still find the need t walk around backstage as if you run the place. And I don't know about the guys in the back but quite rankly, I'm getting and tired of seeing you! Andrew pauses for a moment, regaining his composure before speaking again. ASP: See there's a reason why I sucker punched you in the face. Yeah I did so I can make an impact. Sure I did it to be the center of attention. However the main reason why I did it was because I'm tired of you being here. I'll give you all an example; Rise to Greatness 2011. Rise to Greatness was shaped up to be one hell of a show. You had the Scaffold match, an Underground title match, David Helms against Ravyn Taylor, EPIC against the Evans'. It was one of the best cards Rise to Greatness has ever seen. However there was one match that seemed to get all of the attention. There was one match that was talked about the most and that was CHBK Vs Jason Zero. Andrew pauses for a moment as the fans are hushed at this point. ASP: Now everyone knows that Zero versus CHBK is one of the greatest rivalries this company has ever seen. The battles between them are considered some of the greatest matches in SCW history. However as Rise to Greatness was on the horizon many people that said your match with Zero should be the main event and to make more hype around that Alex you just had to make it Career vs World Title Shot. And that's when it hit Alex. Now I understand why you're still here. Andrew pauses for a moment. ASP: Because you're afraid. The fans are still hushed as Andrew clears his throat. ASP: You're afraid that one day SCW is going to forget all about you. You're afraid that one day CHBK won't be remembered. You can't stand the thought of SCW without you. But Alex you need to understand this. You are no longer the reason why people watch SCW. You're no longer the reason why these people sell out arenas worldwide. No one pays to see CHBK anymore. The fans now, they want to see Shawn Winters. They want to see Shilo Valiant. They want to see David Helms. See Alex you fear that one day when their careers are over their legacy is going to rivals yours or better yet be greater then yours. And so now each and every week you come out here trying to gain as much attention as possible. That's why you screwed Thomas Valentine out of the World title, that's why you made a sex tape with that fucking gutter slut Ravyn Taylor! Andrew raises his voice as the fans cheer him on. ASP: I am sick and tired of you constantly stealing the spotlight away from the people that deserve it. I'll go back to Rise to Greatness for a quick moment. When you talk about this year's Rise to Greatness, what will be the first thought in these people's mind? Will it be Shawn Cruze finally breaking the glass ceiling and winning the Scaffold match? Will it be Ducky, who's been through hell her entire year, finally becoming a champion? Will it be James Evans single handily defeating two former World Champions? Hell will it be Ryan Watson scoring a major upset in defeating Warren James to become the Adrenaline Champion? The answer to that is simply no because the only that was on these people's lips besides Shawn Winters becoming World Champion was you defeating Jason Zero and thus ending his pursuit of the World Heavyweight Championship. Andrew tosses his shades to the side and stands up from the stool as Jessica Summers remains seated. ASP: See CHBK, they deserved to be on the tips of everyone's tongue. They deserved their moment in the sun. but unfortunately for them their moment was overshadowed by a forty eight year old has-been who's desperately trying to stay relevant. You see this man right here Alex? Andrew points to the Alpha Tron 3000 which reveals a picture of Brett Favre in a Vikings jersey. ASP: This is who you've become. You are now the Brett Favre of this business. Brett Favre was in denial. He couldn't admit that his days in NFL were numbered and so he kept coming back and you know what happened to him? He got put out the NFL. Now I'm not going to do that to you but I am going to use you as my stepping stone. If you don't want to leave; if you don't want to pass the torch to the new generation, then I'm just going to take it from you. But Alex I'm not just going to beat you to make a very big name for myself. I'm going to beat you because quite frankly I have to beat you. Andrew pauses. ASP: See I'm considered one of the guys that's going to lead this company to the new generation. However if you look at my resume compared to the other "future" stars I'm lacking one thing. See in my short career I have challenged and faced some of the best SCW has to offer; Greg Cherry, Rachel Foxx, Justin Davis, Warren James, Matt Hodges, Ravyn Taylor; the list goes on and on. And guess what folks? I haven't beaten any of them. I haven't had that one victory that puts me over the top. I haven't had that one defining moment and as I look around and see the other guys that's supposed to lead this company, they have. Shawn Cruze busted out of scene winning twelve straights matches en route to becoming the Adrenaline Champion. Then he won the Scaffold match at Rise to Greatness and now he's competing for the World Heavyweight Championship. You look at James Evans. He's a former Adrenaline Champion and the current US champ and on top of that, he's defeated four former World Champions. Sure people may say he won those matches by questionable terms but the fact is he still won. Even that tool Ryan Watson has made a name for himself. All of them have had that moment and I'm still chasing for it. But ASPeeps, the chasing is over. I'm done chasing because in twenty four hours I'm going to capture my very first defining moment. CHBK, I don't care if you bring out your little buddies to distract me because it's not going to matter. I am too focused to let some silly distractions ruin my chances of ceasing this opportunity. I won't allow it, especially given the stakes of this match. If I win this match I finally get to prove to everyone that ASP has arrived. I get to prove that I am ready to take my talents to the next level. However if I lose I find myself back to square one. So I have everything to gain and everything to lose and at under Attack I promise you ASPeeps, I don't plan on losing. Alex, this is my time and I plan on making the most of it. At Under Attack, the legend of ASP begins and I'm going to use you as my steeping stone. The fans erupt in cheers as Andrew regains his composure. ASP:Because at the end of day Alex, you're old news....and it's about time you got the memo. And if you don't know...trust me Alex....you will! Andrew drops the microphone as the scene fades to black. |
